I'm using a 27" iMac, i5, Radeon 5750 w/ 1 GB VRAM.

Since Incarna, I've been having the following issues:
1. Random crashes on entering Captain's Quarters.
2. Reproducible crash when entering character modification editor with HDR on and multithreaded OpenGL.
3. Broken textures and random crashes in char editor, with above settings turned off.

All of these features work with the identical client under Windows XP on the same machine.

Now, since I reduced my resolution from 2560x1440 to, say, 1920x1024, I haven't experienced a single crash. From what I could see in the crash log, the problem seems to come frome the Cider wrapper. Cider can't seem to handle the high resolutions that the 27" iMac provides.

I hope that this helps at least some of my fellow capsuleers.

Thanks, I'll give that a try and see how it goes.

Update: RL got in the way over the weekend, I hope to try this tonight and will post back a report.

I got the same problem in my iMac as well.

No matter I use the 2560x1440 full screen or 1920x1024 windowed, the game still radomly crashed when I enter the station, which is now the captian's quaters. It always stucked when the loading bar is full, anyone has a solution to this? It drives me crazy.

I would like to know the spec's of your iMac. Maybe we can determine where your machine differs from mine. BTW, I use OS X 10.6.8.
Maybe you could also have a look at your crash log.
