Link to reliable news source stating that Muslim terrorists are behind the bombing and shooting?

edit:
Jihadists claim credit. It's still unconfirmed though.

"A terror group, Ansar al-Jihad al-Alami, or the Helpers of the Global Jihad, issued a statement claiming responsibility for the attack, according to Will McCants, a terrorism analyst at C.N.A., a research institute that studies terrorism. The message said the attack was a response to Norwegian forces’ presence in Afghanistan and to unspecified insults to the Prophet Muhammad. “We have warned since the Stockholm raid of more operations,” the group said, according to Mr. McCants’ translation, apparently referring to a bombing in Sweden in December 2010. “What you see is only the beginning, and there is more to come.” The claim could not be confirmed."

When 'responsible media sources' confirm what everyone already knows you are free to return and admit how stupid you are.

Who do you think did it? Skinheads? Retired American 'Tea Party' members on vacation? Quisling from the grave?

The point is that it could be home grown terrorism. If you automatically jump to "Muslims!", you might be blinding yourself to other threats. The US has/had McVeigh bombing a federal building, the Olympic bombing, and bombings of abortion clinics. Muslim terrorists may be the way to bet, but it helps to make sure before you call for a crusade.

Then there's the problem that in your original post, you seem to have the same uncompromising, kill them all, anyone who disagrees is the enemy, radicalized politics mentality that a terrorist would have.

Responsible media has not confirmed anything, they've speculated and said so outright, you on the other hand have not speculated.

Edit: The Oklahoma bombing was supposedly muslims aswell..

It is a good bet that it is Islamic terror.

The above sentence is EXACTLY true. Each word is there for a reason. ESPECIALLY "bet".

If a terror bomb goes off, it is completely true that it might not be Islamic terror.

But if you bet $100 on each terror bomb at 1 for 1 odds, you'll make good money.

Fail of multiculturalism. The only solution - kick all internationals and crow-faces out of any government, and deport all third worlders out of country. Make it clean , like in good old times.

Scandinavia - for scandinavians. And only them.

seems like grasping at straws tho we wont know the true reason untill the police offer statments of their interrogation of him has revealed, its still to soon to say if its some religus or extremist or some of the terror cells that is to blame……..for all we know it might be a single mans "war" against the labor party

Yep, that's what may have happened. From the media the shooter is a 190cm tall guy. Blond hair and looks Scandinavian. We must also remember that Norway has more guns per household than the US. I'm not kidding. Plus the access to automatic weapons is present. And we have the education and access to the means to make bombs and pull of a job like this. Demolition experts have explosives (civilian) stored unsecured in their basement! Recently a house close by me was blown to bits due to that. Luckily no one was hurt at that time.

Now we just hope to find some answer about why. I don't know if we'll ever get them, because this guy can tell us what we want to hear, or just put credit to some random group. Or he could be just insane, but a bit luckier than the guys in Sweden and Denmark. Crying or Very sad

There was also Colleen "Jihad Jane" LaRose.

And while early reports are usually wrong, there's really only one religion in the world right now that has a remarkably consistent pattern of car bombings and purposeful targetting of innocents with the intent of maximizing death toll. It's perfectly reasonable to assume that Islam is once again the driving force behind a similar attack.

Is there a *chance* that it's not? Sure. But the fact that the odds are so heavily skewed for this sort event being tied to Islam that it is immediately everyone's first assumption (whether they admit it or not) says a lot about the religion. It would actually be more newsworthy if it wasn't a Muslim terrorist, since it would be out of the ordinary.

I also can't help but notice that many of those in the media today who are parroting the "Don't make assumptions" mantra are the same ones who immediately tried to smear the Tea Party with the Gabrielle Giffords shooting. And when that turned out to be wrong, and the guy turn out to be a leftist nut with a fondness for Marx, they had no interest in reporting it.

But when it comes to something that has all the hallmarks of Islamic terrorism, oh heaven forbid we assume.

Easy conclusions to be drawn, he's one of the scandinavia for scandinavians people, rightwinger going after the leftist youth as they are easier to shoot than debate with.

Is the right in Scandinavia typically violent?

Here in the United States, the number one perpetrators of terrorism are radical environmental leftists, followed by Islam. Right wing terror ranks last.

When you hear about a mass killing in Scandinavia the default is it's a right wing nutter gone off his rockers.

It's a reaction to the society rejecting their ideas, in the US that wouldn't be that much of a problem for someone leaning right.

Fox news called. They want their bull**** back.

Originally by: American domestic terrorism circa 1980 to present
1980s: Right Wing Terrorism on the Rise

The radicalism of the 1960s and 1970s was followed by the conservatism of the Reagan era, in mainstream America. Political violence too, took a turn to the right. In the 1980s, white supremacist and neo-**** groups such as Aryan Nation saw a resurgence, often among working class white males, who perceived themselves as displaced by women, African Americans, Jews, and immigrants who benefited from new civil rights legislation.

Terrorism in the name of Christianity also surged in the 1980s and 1990s. Radical groups and individuals committed to violent action to stop abortion were among the most visible. Michael Bray, head of a group called the Army of God spent four years in prison for his abortion clinic bombings in the 1980s.

In 1999, the most lethal act of domestic violence to date occurred when Timothy McVeigh bombed the Alfred P. Murrah building in Oklahoma City, killing 168 people. McVeigh's stated motivation--revenge against a federal government that he viewed as intrusive and oppressive, was an extreme version of more mainstream desire among many for a smaller government. Dean Harvey Hicks, a citizen angry over his taxes, for example, created the one-man terrorist group "Up the IRS, Inc." and tried to bomb IRS locations.

I also remember the recent Times Square carbombing attempt.

Early reports were a middle-aged white male. Bloomberg and the leftist media screamed TEA PARTY TERRORISM, despite no criminal activity whatsoever out of the Tea Party, to date.

They were oh, so disappointed when, whoops, no - it turned out to be your 'run of the mill' botched Muslim terrorist attack.

The media ink bashing the 'Tea party' would have flowed like spooge in an adult movie establishment. But, wait - damn its a Muslim. Move along people, nothing to see here.

Like there was any doubt who could be responsible for that. Last time I checked news I didn't see blond blue eyed Europeans running down the streets with knives out cutting heads off and killing everyone that moves. It's like a no-brainer - you hear about a blast in a school bus, massacre in a hotel or someone's cut to pieces in front of the camera and you already know who might do it.

The FBI called. They offered to help pry your foot from your mouth.

From 2002-2005:

http://www.fbi.gov/stats-services/publications/terrorism-2002-2005

Quote:
In keeping with a longstanding trend, domestic extremists carried out the majority of terrorist incidents during this period. Twenty three of the 24 recorded terrorist incidents were perpetrated by domestic terrorists. With the exception of a white supremacist’s firebombing of a synagogue in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, all of the domestic terrorist incidents were committed by special interest extremists active in the animal rights and environmental movements.

http://articles.cnn.com/2005-05-19/us/domestic.terrorism_1_animal-rights-huntingdon-animal-cruelty-alf?_s=PM:US

Quote:
John Lewis, the FBI's deputy assistant director for counterterrorism, said animal and environmental rights extremists have claimed credit for more than 1,200 criminal incidents since 1990. The FBI has 150 pending investigations associated with animal rights or eco-terrorist activities, and ATF officials say they have opened 58 investigations in the past six years related to violence attributed to the ELF and ALF.

From 2008:

http://www.fbi.gov/news/stories/2008/june/ecoterror_063008

Quote:
Together, eco-terrorists and animal rights extremists are one of the most serious domestic terrorism threats in the U.S. today…for several good reasons:
*The sheer volume of their crimes (over 2,000 since 1979);
*The huge economic impact (losses of more than $110 million since 1979);
*The wide range of victims (from international corporations to lumber companies to animal testing facilities to genetic research firms); and
*Their increasingly violent rhetoric and tactics (one recent communiqué sent to a California product testing company said: “You might be able to protect your buildings, but can you protect the homes of every employee?”).

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,343768,00.html

Quote:
"It remains what we would probably consider the No. 1 domestic terrorism threat, because they have successfully continued to conduct different types of attacks in and around the country," said FBI Special Agent Richard Kolko.

There's also a fantastic pie chart that the FBI published that I will post when I find it. It shows terrorism in the US, sliced by group. Right wing is a tiny little slice. Left wing/environ/animal a massive slice. I really should have that one saved for people in denial like you. Laughing
