After a couple of weeks doing hhighsec exploration sites, and the static sites with beacons, I've noticed several things that CCP should look into:
1) Magnometric sites need a serious boost. The salvage payout is awful- you can usually expect to get around 10-100K's worth of salvage. The amount of time needed to scan them down makes them useless for making isk.
2) Some combat sites only despawn once a certain structure is destroyed., e.g. The 'Blood Control Center' in the site 'Blood Lookout'. However, there is no reason to destroy it, as it drops nothing, doesn't cause any escalations, and does not prohibit the player from finishing the plex. This means that most people completely ignore it, which results in the plex not despawning, even way after it is finished. This really needs to be changed so that the plex despawns if it has been completed, but even if the non-critical structures have been left alone.
3) Static Sites such as 'Pith-Robux Asteroid Mining Co.' or 'Old Meanie - Cultivation Center' have their overseer NPC/Can respawn at set intervals, (i.e. 1 hour 15 mins for the overseer can in Old Meanie)
The set respawn time means that a player can do the site, and know exactly when the overseer will respawn, therefore being able to know exactly when to do the site. This makes it very hard for others to be able to do the site and get the reward.
To make it more fair, I would suggest that CCP removes the set time, and makes it variable instead (Such as 1 Hour +/- 20 mins)
4) Drone Combat sites are nearly always ignored due to the lack of worthwile rewards. The Drone faction spawns in highsec only drop drone components- which are nearly worthless due to massive over-supply. Additional rewards must be introduced to make them worthwile. Even the possibility of a 1-run Faction Drone BPC would make the sites far more tempting to explorers.
