I do experience random voice drops when in fleet.

Unluckily the client/server code is such a piece of crap it obviously isn't capable of returning to some sane state after a voice drop did happen.

I have experienced what seemed to be persistant serverside errors while trying to rejoin fleets and reenable voice plus populating my fleet watchlist again.

Restarting the client didn't help, nor did restarting the client with cache cleared. Relogging, rejoining fleet, rejoining voice, adding folks to fleet watchlist -> BAM!

Seems as if fleet voice channel join/leave code is adding to the Mac client crappyness, adding folks to fleet watchlist after relogging after getting dropped might be involved in triggering some stupid ****, too.

I'm quite convinced trying to enable wing/sqad channel voice via button in fleets without already up wing/squad is another road to voice fail misery.

Thanks for that quality product, CCP!

Is fleet voice working flawlessly for any Mac user in here?

What voice problems do you encounter?

Apparently it works flawlessly for BH Scribblet.

If voice cuts out in the middle of a fleet op, go to the esc menu, disable eve voice, wait a couple of seconds, then re-enable it. Usually this allows you to rejoin voice channels without having to re-log or rejoin a fleet. If it does not the only cure Ive found is rebooting the entire computer. Because rebooting helps, if you know you are about to start a big op, reboot before starting your game session.

After reading this, i decided to see what all the hub bub was about. Long ago, almost every time I logged in I would get a pretty bad lag spike and get a message "You were logged out of Audio Chat" I figured out it was the EvE voice thing and unchecked the block to have it running and been fine ever since (As far as EvE voice goes)

So, I checked the box and re logged, lo and behold it worked...sort of. i talked to my other computer for about 5 minutes, and was "logged out" then I tried to Log back in by rechecking the box, what a bad move that was. the whole dang thing froze, had to hard restart the computer. No cider trace log nothing....just a lockup. This happened 3 times in a row and so I unchecked the block and fired up TS3, no problems with that.

I don't intend to try this again as I don't like to reboot my machine unless I **Really** have to.

As far as wether or not it is a piece of crap, it is hard to say, it never ran long enough for me to fully evaluate it. So, I guess by definition it IS a piece of crap.

No sense filing a bug report as all they want are cider trace logs and this doesn't produce, well, Cest La Vie

I'd love a copy of his Mac client, as it seems so much more stable than the one they release to the public Shocked

I'll get logged out of audio chat while in fleet ops. Disabling and then reenabling voice chat doesn't help. Disabling and then reenabling sound doesn't help either. Sometimes restarting the client helps.

I'm not restarting my whole computer just to log into built-in voice chat. That's stupid.

I have same problem on my Mac with ecve voice.

After joining fleet, it will lag out my entire connection. I hear everyone, by nothing on screen works (speed, direction, targeting, etc).

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE fix eve voice for us Mac Users!
