Just to warn anyone thinking of buying anything anytime soon from the NEX store, id wait if i where you, i "STUPIDLY" bought a few items from the store, only to see that a couple of days later, the price dropped!

Woman's "Sterling"Dress Blouse (Platinum) Oringinaly priced at 3.600 AUR....now 2.900 AUR
Woman's "Impress" Skirt (Gray) Oringinaly priced at 3.600AUR...now 3.500 AUR

not a "HUGE" price change, but money is money,

I then Petitioned this and asked what was going on and would we recieve a refund for this only to be told that prices are subject to change whenever they feel its right to do so, so be warned shoppers, buy an item at 3.500 AUR (20) and a day later they can cut the price to whatever they like, thus you being the loser in the situation.

Its pretty safe to say that im done with the NEX store lol, i wont be buying anything else from here on out, talk about biting the hand that feeds you CCP!

And the funny part is... only you can see your clothes. Well, we can see like a third of your top, but cannot see your skirt. Wink Enjoy your purchases!

given what they have changed, i would say they will never do it again. it's only a small pricing correction for "medium priced" items

So if you go to a store, let's say a electronics store and buy a TV and the next day the store lower the price of said TV by 50%, are you entitled to a refund just because you bought the TV at the wrong time ?
No, you are not.
Prices are subject to change in almost every store or method of commerce. Even in-game stores this is common as games got various sales and discount on items.
So it's a prime example of tough luck.

Actually, they usually do give you a refund in that situation (at least in my area). That being said, I have no sympathy for anybody who purchases imaginary space clothes.

Why are people gueefing about this?

It's been obvious that the women's selection of clothing has been overpriced from the start, (lol girl characters are willing to pay more to pretty up their avatars... really CCP???) so a fall was bound to happen.

Depends on the store, they are however under no obligation and well within their legal right to deny you it.
And now we are talking about digital items, and there the answer is a resounding no.
Maybe some obscure korean mmo would refund you but the major MMOs LOTRO, AoC, DDO clearly state that the items are not refundable.

Hey i held my hands up, the point of this thread was not to gage sympathy at all, i paid 40 for 2 plex which i exchanged for 3.500AUR each and bought some virtual goods, nothing unusual in that LOLZ! and i became impatient and bought items from NEX store beileveing CCP's explination on how the NEX system worked, there explination as far as i understood it,...

A luxury item such as a monocle (which id never buy) was an item that requierd more than one plex purchase, 2 to 3 PLEX = Luxury,
A medium luxury items where items which require 1 PLEX or more per item such as the shirt and skirt i bought, 1 Plex or more = Medium Luxury
Affordable items would be priced at 1 PLEX and under right? 1 PLEX and under = Affordable

well my shirt and skirt where more than 1 PLEX in price which put them in the medium luxury bracket, after there price drop they are now classed as affordable, im not even really that botherd about that, its the point that they wouldn't even refund the pitiful amount of AUR in price difference that i paid which was 800AUR, after me spending 40 on there items, LOLZ it just speaks volumes to me on the whole "Greed is good" policy they say was not true, im just sick of them moving the goal post's when they see fit, iv learned my leason and wont be repeating my mistake TRUST ME! lolz ;)

So you got burnt this time.

Question is, are you going to buy from the NEX store again?

A side effect of these price reductions (until other items come available for our convience), is, the value of AUR is increased, this is basically a hidden exchange rate improvement.

Welcome to IMPULSE BUYING, which is what MT is about.

Doing reductions this soon is actually hurting CCP's NEX plan :)

More and more people will feel burnt.

Perhaps NEX items on "offer" should be HIGHLIGHTED clearly as a special offer, thats if they are going to be raised again.

Is this lowering permenant? CCP are again, misscommunicating.

Will they ever RAISE item prices in the NEX store? That one is a little harder to stomach.

If CCP want a store, run it like a store, not a half-arsad version.

Well technicaly there was no sale, a sale implies advertisment of said sale, there was none, they just released additional items and dropped the price of previous items, no sale was announced, seems prices will fluctuate whenever new items are added, making your luxury goods, not so luxurious after all, im just bracing myself for the LOLfest when Monocles are reduced in price, some one eyed pilot is gonna be pretty ****ed when there 80$ item is reduced to 60 LOLZ! 1: People complain about the high prices in the NeX store... especially items that are just over 3500 AUR (requiring two PLEX to be purchased).

2: After observing the NeX and listening to player input, they lower the NeX pricing on most of those items to something more reasonable.

3: Immediately players complain.

You people are easily led by the nose by the forum trolls, you know that right.

Quote:

Zoom out so you can see yourself. Rolling Eyes

@Astra Rossou:

Judging by your example, your first mistake was in spending your cash to buy those PLEX in the first place.

Unless you are wanting to resell those PLEX for ISK, don't buy PLEX with money. Buy it with ISK when you want to convert it to AUR, just like most everyone else.

And as a side note, no, you won't find any games out there that offer refunds (complete or partial) on virtual goods sales. Nor should they.

Actually it depends totally on the laws in your country. In the country i used to live you have 2 weeks of time to give back any bought (not hygiene or consumable) product. In that case you would just give it back, get your cash and buy the one with the lowered price.

BTT: the only problem i see in changing Aurum prices is the resell value in ISK. If someone bought one item for 2000 Aurum and the next day they sell it for 1500 aurum, then it is pretty hard to stay in the competition on the market. Luckily the market isn't contested, yet.

Regards,
J. Gramer

Wow... you're getting what you want, Barbie Doll dress -up and you still complain.

Priceless!

What was the response when bitter vets complained? Ah yes.... GTFO! Wink Just saying.

and BTW price is dictated by demand and works in game much like it does out of game.

Assuming this is true here in the sandbox then you've just been taught your first economics lesson.

Barbie Dolls playdates aren't going to be as popular in EVE as first thought! Hince the price decline.

No worry though... CCP will make it right somehow. Maybe they'll make it clothes and the like destructable to increase demand. Better yet maybe they'll scrap the whole barbie thing and sell SPs out of the NEX. Afterall... it's ok for CCP to make their money however they please, right?

Capitalism at it's finest is what I've read in many Fanboi responses.
