Rek appears in a short holovid. While physically he doesn't look too different than his last appearance, it is clear from his far-off stare and odd way of speaking that something is amiss. What sound like thought-commands of the type used while commanding a ship while in pod are also occasionally heard in the video. As he speaks, the next paragraph has little or nothing to do with the previous.

...I'm back. Begin diagnostics.

It was only a month and a half or so of isolation. My pilot's license was due to expire and I hadn't exactly been pleasing CONCORD with my recent actions in support of Nation and the Covenant. So I wasn't able to interface with my pod and was station-bound. Not too bad, right?

Granted that station was a True Power station in RV5-DW, but it was pleasant enough. I met some True Citizen scientists and agreed to do science with them. Having one's mind being more or less disconnected from their physical body can't be that bad for mental health, seeing as we do it all the time. And the pay was more than sufficient.

Not all quarks are strange. Some are actually quite charming. Send research data to Command.

And so I've returned. The cluster has changed little, other than new allegiances (typical of capsuleers). Of special note is Niraia, who has abandoned Nation. I also haven't heard from Valentina or Ms. Sparrow; I miss their proactive, fighting spirits.

The gate is closed to passers-by. Return to source immediately. Capacitive and inductive reactance not in balance; correct ship circuit for zero power-factor.

I've heard rumors about mysterious events in wormhole space. I may well opt out of shooting things in favor of exploration. If anyone has information on this, I'd be much obliged.

To celebrate your return, behold, this...erm...I can't identify it, really. We pulled it from Citizen Astur's Revenant-class not an hour ago.

Here's wishing you continue your current levels of success.

Likewise Markius. Our battles in the Eugidi area were quite splendid; it is very hard to find worthy opponents who won't just swarm you in some not-so-elaborate trap.

And yet within a week or two there will be another. How Nation can summon up such resources amazes and inspires me.
