More like Teala helping a friend by doing what RAW23 suggested "drumming up supporters" via twitter and other forums.

With that said: Khira Kitamatsu

and thank you Teala for bringing this to my attention.

Wow! Way to make me regret being generous in allowing a completely unsupported entry in at this late stage.

I do resent the rather bizarre claim that I'm out to cheat Khira out of her legitimate winnings. The situation is that Khira appears to have misunderstood my criteria and she's annoyed that I'm not bending over backwards to say how wonderful her protest was. The reason for this is because I have seen little evidence of her efforts; they may indeed have been Herculean but at the moment all I have is one person's testimony and a rather uninspiring thread. Certainly nothing has been said that warrants replacing anyone on the shortlist since 'having an idea first' is not one of the criteria AT ALL. But whoever gets the most votes wins, it's that simple, so I really don't understand the purpose of maligning my character like this by suggesting I would try to stop Khira winning.

None of the above. They are either impotent reactions quickly forgotten, empty threats or ‘what ifs’

Want to spell out how disappointed you all are with CQ and the NEX store? Turn it off and don’t use it

A few threads have indicated that there are many that don’t read the forums, which I find so hard to believe given the plethora of diseased and/or deluded minds that frequent them *cough*, so get the message to them if they don’t know about turning it off. Make sure all your corp/alliance members are aware of the function. If your in a NPC, make sure you relay the instruction on how to do it regularly. If your not in a NPC, cycle one of your three slots to hit all the NPC corps with a ‘spread the word’ alt.

This indicates what the subscribers think of the poor content/poor performance issues/content removal/MT/whatever else you feel hard done by with Incarna. A simple button click for like/not like and is measurable. Less hot air and speculation. Take action and stop regurgitating the same tripe

It was really entertaining to see everyone get so into it. Hell, I even spammed a couple of locals to drum up support :)

3) Wyke Mossari and Liberty Eternal for 'The Great Luminaire Titan Scam'
One of my favourites. Wyke and Liberty led an attempt to get protesters to blow up the Luminaire Titan. What the 400 or so who followed them didn't know is that they were not sympathetic to the protesters and the aim was to damage the Jita protest by moving large numbers of players elsewhere. A short-lived effort but with lots of EvE spirit.

So I guess it is time to show some contrition by making a confession. Wink

Whilst Raw is broadly correct in his implication; I would honestly describe my position as sceptical regarding the extent of outrage rather than actually being hostile to the protest. I cannot speak for Liberty and believe it or not we never actually conspired about this in private.

Yes, I did have an ulterior motive, but it is incorrect to say my intention was to damage the Jita Protest. My motive was very much IC; I thought why should the Jita Traders see all the profits from Ammo sales. Yes my motive was entirely about profit, some might argue just like CCP. Twisted Evil

My choice of the Luminare Titan was actually to test a Hypothesis regarding the Storyline and that was my flash of inspiration and
I was actually quite surprised it actually took off like it did, the thread seemed to catch the Zeitgeist, the spirit of the moment.

Talking of spirit, I find the alt voting a little ironic. If I was I to exercise mine alone, Liberty and myself would be winning atm, but you have my word I won't, instead I will concede to the mob rule. :) However Raw, if you are prepare accept self votes, you can count this as one for Liberty and I.

I vote for canceling the competition and that you keep the ISK.

Original idea of panel-voting was good. New idea of mob-voting is bad. This just gives price to person with most alts/friends/etc. So since you weren't able to implement the competition as originally planned, I vote for canceling the competition.

Definitely The Jita Protest by Kristina Vanszar.

- I was there.
- It introduced me to EVE radio
- It spread to other trade system
- We made a lot of noise in the real world
- It was pretty successful at slowing access to Jita
