I feel like there's not enough upgrades for hauling. There a 600k ship, there's a 130mil ship and there's a 900mil ship. What about all the price points in between? There's a fairly nice upgrade path if you want to DPS/etc, but if you want to haul, you have this huge pause while waiting to get your next upgrade.

I've gone from 20mil to 350mil in the past 45 days, almost exclusively from trading. I can now buy faster than I can haul. I've been finding myself spending 6 hours hauling to and from a system that's only one jump away. I log on when I get home from work, start hauling, head off to bed 6 hours later and I'm still not done hauling. I place buy orders for over the night. I wake up, and before work, I start hauling again, but I'm now even further behind from the new buy-orders that went through. Just can't keep up.

I guess I just get backed-up throughout the week and make up for it on the weekends.

Need more options for hauling.

I know some people will disagree, but I'm just voicing my opinion and curious as to what others think.

A Tech 3 Industrial Ship could cover part of this role.

I would like to see Deep Space Transports take a more agressive role in Hauling, sliping throug camps is already in the feild of the Cloaky Blockade Runners.

I know not all that much about hauling ships, but I do know you forgot the:

2x 90mil ships
400mil ship
1600mil ship
4500mil ship

and the

T3 500mil ship for super secret cloaky/interdiction nullifier stuff

The Orca is the mid-sized hauler of choice...141k of space, 191k if you haul ore, but it is overkill.

I'd like to see 2 mid sized haulers, Orca class, but without the mining bonuses and only 1 high slot.

One dedicated to hauling with no ship maintenance bay, no ore bay. Around 250k cargo + 10k corp hanger
Double what an Orca can haul now, less than a jump freighter, corp hanger for transferring stuff in the field
One dedicated to ship transport with around 30k cargo bay, 20k corp hanger and 750k ship maintenance bay
Almost double what an Orca can move, less than a carrier, corp hanger for storing modules for ship maintenance

Neither being jump capable, just fly them like an orca.

Skills:
ORE Industrial Level V
Advanced Spaceship Command I

Rethought it, perhaps if transports had a considerable cargo space bonus, they would be more viable. Right now the Itty V reigns supreme over the slugs of the haulers.

Make an Occator for example that offers 80k-90k cargo space and people may begin to contemplate them.
