Edited by: E man Industries on 21/07/2011 03:45:39 Okay really?
Make it so the information does not pop up over the image...see a youtube video and if i want to see it bigger I can't because your POS interface is in the damn way.
You even managed to make looking at pictures hard....how did you do that?
At what point was lets cover the picture when the person mouse over it...that'll be good...actually thought about.
Site is more frustrating and less useful the using a google image search for eve or searching youtube.
Terrible!
Edit: It just when view via the main interface..if i go to the video pages I can actually look at stuff. |

It's cool. My only issue is with the content - I wish I could make the videos larger, or go directly to the youtube link or the full-sized image, or make the videos full-screen. |

So I went to the eveisreal website today.
Thoughts: The website is totally unusable. Don't know why the hell anyone ever thought that that website would be accessible, it takes so long to load a page you need to be doing something else as well. The point I am trying to make is when I think of the websites I visit looking for information and amusement, I like clean, precise and amusing.
The flash interface takes so long between loads that I get bored before I've looked at 2 or 3. There's no excuse for such a pathetic user experience in this age of instants. Think more like failblog.org, the ability to dwell on a piece of content for as long or as short as you like and not a 15 second wait between each piece of material.
I hate to see such an idea with good potential for helping people who might enjoy eve find it, have such a pathetic implementation.
Advice: Rework the entire website so that content is organized but accessible. Think in terms of the way google dominates the search engine market by being innovative and intuitive. Just make it clean and convenient, and the content will speak for itself. |

Pretty cool too, I'll be spending a few hours there for sure.
Pity it's all propaganda sumbmitted by CCP arsekissers that shows none of the awfulness of Incarna. Talk about bad timing for a promotion :-D
/sigh.. yeah, cuz what I really want to watch are a bunch of "why ccp blows" videos instead.... (sic) Choose your battles; you really don't have to be a butthead over ever little thing ccp does. At any rate you'd make more friends with a more positive attitude. |

You might want to check that you're using a modern browser like Chrome and that it's up to date? Or maybe get better internet service? It loads almost instantly for me and is no problem at all to navigate (though it's not perfect, it could use some tweaks). |

:)
I can now say say "I was there."

Originally by: CCP Fallout Earlier today, milestone two in the EVE is Real museum was reached. Sadly, we discovered that there was a lot of click fraud and gaming of the sharing feature. As a result, we’ve reset the second level milestone to a level that indicates sharing that was done by actual humans. This translates to about 4,000 or so actual shares, which is too few in number to have unlocked level two.
Oh, the irony. A CCP-sponsored initiative involving actively fraudulent behavior by participants. You get what you preach, despite EVE being 'just a game.' Heavily encourage dishonesty and thievery in the moral vacuum of EVE and it is unrealistic to expect that people will take the moral high-ground with your OOG initiatives. Plus AUR is a currency. Greed rules all else, especially when it comes to EVE players. |
