Say, for sake of arguement, you are logged on with 2 clients.

One client (Will call this one the "Normal") is in a fleet, then the other client (We will call this client "2") is logged in while in a different fleet and different corp and different Alliance.

A battle ensues and now you want to be able to pull chat logs from client 2 to provide them to the Normal clients Alliance leadership.

I can't find ANY chat logs from #2 at all, only the normal client.

In the past each client had its own name and own folder for preferences, doesn't seem that way anymore.

Where are chat logs for client 2, I use the method of changing the CFBundle name to start the clients.

Hmm, I just looked and it seems none of my secondary clients are logging either, at least not any clients other than the client that doesn't have any changes to info.plist

Woohoo for smaller log files

Bpp for not being to log convos on separate toons

Are you saying that if you make a second client and configure it to use a different preferences folder, that client is not going to log the chats? I did not try it, but I hardly believe that is the case because the EvE executable have absolutely no notion of where cider is putting the files. Therefore both clients should behave identically as long as each is configured to use a separate folder so that they do not interfere with each other.

dunno about OP, but mine do not make a second file at all. I have deleted all my prefs from ~/library/preferences/ and the only thing it has made in ~/library/applicationsupport has been the single Eve Online folder. I am not even sure how it keep the preferences separate, but it does for each client.

Do you get a second folder for each client in the ~/library/applicationsupport folder?

They write to the original client prefs folder

If you start 5 clients and then close them.
The unmodified client writes to ~/library/applicationsupport/eve online/
The modified clients ALL write to ~/library/preferences/eve online/

This gives you 4 copies of alliance chat and corp chat all in the same place.
