SOE aren't ready for us to perform testing on the alpha build of the latest patch.
It still won't compile apparently. |

Well, you know, it might help if they actually had devs working on it instead of their other games. |

If they won't add ship spinning again i'd prefer a completely black void background over that piece of trash door |

That's probably very true. With every person with a passing knowledge of programming in SOE (CCP) directed at the game that will be overrun by Planetside 2 (No risk for SOE) and a game for Stephenie Meyer fans there ain't much left going on. Probably the same crew that put the "Fearless" newsletter together. However, I'll once again embrace a patch of a patch on a patch to a patch for an "expansion". As opposed to being one of those starving 3rd world kids I guess. |

Basically, a problem was discovered late in the process. Too late to safely deploy the patch within the existing deployment schedule so we made the decision to call it off and deploy another day.
Our apologies for the inconvenience, everybody. |

I applaud CCP from learning from previous mistakes! Better no patch than a not-tested FUBAR patch! I think CCP deserves some support for this, wouldn't you agree? |

Be honest please. Nexon got on the phone and told you to quit jacking around users in the Japanese prime time didn't they? Thank Christ. About time someone had some commercial agreement in place to keep SOE (CCP) semi-accountable. So will "another day" also be in a "quieter time"? Or is that going to take another Nexon phone call? |

Well done CCP For once you have done the right thing and postponed a patch that was not ready Informing us of a delay is the right thing to do, you see , if you keep the playerbase informed Then they are more likely to accept and understand Communication at last ! |

I agree. But I might be biased But, seriously it's always a judgement call when late bugs are discovered. While for example we probably wouldn't postpone due to a bug that causes sofas in CQ to turn pink and fluffy (our art guys totally would though), we would choose to postpone if the bug was likely to cause more disruption than the delaying of the scheduled patch. |

ITT: New SOE (CCP) "Excellence" - fail then claim it as an achievement that they will stuff up another gaming night for the Oceanic region after telling people all day today not to bother. |

Is it not possible for CCP to announce the deployment of patches at least 48 hours in advance? (Using the log-in screen and not just forums).
Lots of things in EVE require a lot of time and planning, and so to have a 3.5 hour extended DT (plus extended extended DT) dropped on you with little warning can be pretty annoying when you've just lined up everything to happen within a certain timeframe.

Now, what do you know about the problem that you didn't before? Oh that's right, a "problem" late in the process was found. Now, ask yourself how that satisfies your original question of "Why?". You know this is how CCP always answers such questions to such issue. So, why even ask why. And yes, that's a statement, not a question. |

I'm with your art guys on this. A pink fluffy sofa has no place in Minmatar CQ. A battered red sofa, on the other hand... |

Admitting you have a problem is always a good start to the healing process. I just really wish this frame of mind had existed much sooner.
