So, my corp of 2 days, is flying around in our small T1 frigate gang. We have a Jaguar, a Griffin, a Punisher, Rifter, and a Manticore. Being the mercs we are we decide to fly down to the Old Man Star region while waiting for our high sec war decs to start.

We come upon a Cynabal near the Nisuwa gate in a system I cannot remember. We, being the almighty, no ship fearing noobs that we are decide to engage him. Unforunately he jumped through the gate just when he had aggressed. If only the Griffin did not have him perma jammed.

So we camp the gate for another minute or so and our scout reports that he is jumping back. YES! We all get our mods hot and decide to get this guy.

He finally uncloaks and we all burn at him expecting our webs and scrams to lock him down and our tiny guns to pelt away his shields.

We were wrong. Sad He managed to kill every single one of us. Haha that sure gave us a lesson in why we fly cheap ships. It was all in good fun and we really enjoyed losing our ships in such an epic way.

Such is the life of a pilot in the corporation He's Pointed. But beware, in the coming weeks we shall learn PvP. We shall learn what is effective and what is not. When we join the Caldari side of FW we will show the Gallente what we have learned. T1 frigate gangs will swarm Old Man Star and Heyd.

We can't wait to see other FW and Merc corps out there.

Safe flying chaps.

Nice to see you guys learning by doing; too many people are afraid of doing that these days.

If you're ever around Hev, look up the Tuskers. We'll be glad to give you a run for your money.

Great story Gen. Just out of curiousity, did you have MWD and Warp Scrambler on your Rifter and Jaguar fitted?

No we had ABs on the Jag and rifters. We did indeed fit scrams.

Keep in mind: That guy wasn't just *flying a Cynabal*. He was probably well trained for it and had lots of experience. When he turned around and jumped back to you, that was your clue that he was thinking he could kill you all.

As others have said. GOOD JOB! on getting in there and fighting.

A+ for effort
A+ for attitude

Hehe remembers me of me 1 week ago :D

Was alone in my sweet small Incursus (which according to my corp was at least well fitted) and decided to go looking for some miners... appearantly it was the wrong dateand time to look for them and so i spend 3 hours in lowsec finding not one miner, and not bein ganked at all.

In the end i finally found smn in an belt and insta locked him, not caring abot what it was ... oh well 2 rounds of ammunition with me not even bein in web range i went down >.>
Corp Checks the killboard: and start laughing its balls off: Loki

Next day i decide to try again, get out into lowsec, and get tackled by a taranis -> dead.
Some hours later i log on again, and my corp is cheering and gratulating me on my first kill: http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/combat_record.php?type=player&name=Yun+Zhou#kills

Little hint when it comes to fighting on a station or gate. ECM is not your friend. Yeah it keeps them from shooting you but it also drops their aggression giving them a head start on their timer to run away.

If you have the DPS to melt someone in under 60 seconds you can probably get away with it but it's still not a good idea in case their tank is better than you expect.

Another hint is most people will only engage you under two circumstances, A, they are pretty sure they can take you and B, they have no choice. If you aren't in situation B you're likely to be in trouble.

So if someone escapes and comes back. well it's probably time for you to GTFO.

Happy hunting.
