A bunch of codswallop from a blind sycophant ..

I've traveled around the world for pleasure and work. I LOVED every moment of it.

The CSM is crying about how he/she "actually put my physical health on the back burner for YOUR interests". So what, if he/she doesnt like doing it, then quit, its that simple. There is no pay involved and this person WANTED TO DO IT. The only one who is to blame for any bad health due to this, is the CSM.

It's just words. We either see change or we don't

OP is right.

It's very hard to address specific issues since everything easily turns into a troll cascade with people RP "camps".

A lot of disillusioned players also took the opportunity to quit their eve addiction. The current "back burner" state of eve and CCP's future plans of MT/milking/double dipping eve subscribers just pushed them over the edge.

As every true propagandist knows you often chose to play your stakes high and expect to go home with 1/10 of projections, the higher play the more that 1/10th is worth.

What do you believe the protest was attempting to do, Ferguson?

Because I believe it succeeded.

The purpose was to shine a negative light on CCP's actions and force them into a broad public action that the entire gaming world could see.

It did that spectacularly, and regardless of their true intentions if they back out of their promises now they have this ten minute long video showcasing their treachery for all time.

This would be far more damaging then any protest, so all in all... yea, the protest worked perfectly.

+1 Cool

Fully agree with you, Kuronaga.

Public spotlight was on EVE and CCP and all pilots will be carefully monitoring future development.

A mixture of flight delays, missed flights, lost passports and more just so I could go to Iceland and shout at CCP for 48 hours only to crawl home (I'm STILL not home nearly 72 hours after the summit ended) and I get to come back to people sitting in their diapers crying about how we were 'bought' by CCP. You literally have no idea what you're talking about and I've actually put my physical health on the back burner for YOUR interests and so did the rest of the CSM so just chill out with the endless stream of nonsense you constantly fire at us. We're not superheroes and we made some serious sacrifices to be able to drop EVERYTHING to go to Iceland and hash this out.

We didn't get drunk and we didn't have fun because quite frankly we were too tired, too stressed and too overworked to be able to stop for a moment and consider anyone's concerns other than yours. The same can be mirrored for CCP who were genuinely worried and concerned about the problems the players had. We sat and watched as THE greatest technical achievement the company has ever put forward was perpetually overshadowed by problems. I'm sorry if you didn't get everything you wanted exactly how you wanted it but your entitlements stretch far and beyond their reach so simmer down and think about what you're saying before you say it.

How dare you try and turn this on the player base. You should be disgusted in yourself.

YOU chose to go to the summit.
YOU chose to drop everything to save YOUR game of internet spaceships.

Dont sit there and pretend like you were saving the world. The meeting would have gone no different had you been there or not. CCP knew long before they invited you how much they were willing to give and what they wouldnt give.

All we got were a bunch of bull **** statements telling us absoloutely nothing but a bunch of articulated spin that will no doubt see the introduction of a lot of features into the game soon that YOU and CCP decided were ok for the majority of us.

This. White Tree you're a joke.

The only joke I see are the people whining at the CSM members. You guys voted for them, or didn't (in which case you have no right to complain) then when they drop everything in real life at a moments notice to fly out to Iceland to deal with this almighty mess AND come away with exactly the answers we were looking for, you sit here and scream at them.

Perhaps you aren't aware of how the summits usually work (it's the only explanation I can come up with for the stupidity in here) where the CSM are given set dates, well ahead of time, as to when they will be needed. The CSM can then plan ahead and make sure that there is nothing conflicting with those dates and everything goes smoothly.

This time round they had a weeks notice, at most, to get their arses to Iceland. They went because that is their job, yes, but this was the equivalent of getting a phone call at 3am on your day off telling you that you HAVE to come to work. And you wonder why some of the CSM members are ****ed off? With you and with CCP.

You people need to think before you post, you make the rest of us look bad.

Seriously don't blame the playerbase for your own inability to know what's worth "fighting" for considering the risk of your health for your internet spaceship hobby. Not the playerbase send you to Iceland ... CCP summoned you. And really: CCP's half-cooked blahblah statement is neither a sign of "fiercely discussions" nor of "fighting for the playerbase's interests".

The CSM could have had a real strong impact/influence on CCP - if they had choosen NOT to go to Iceland.
And it would have been better for your health toough

the CSM is a volunteer program, no?

if you're not happy with the requirments needed to obtain and hold the positin, quit and give it up to someone who wants it way more than you do. you clearly do not appreciate the role you have willingly taken on and you show it by whining and moaning like a little child.

life, and EVE, isn't all parties and soft feather down pillows. this is what you have to do when things get bad. you can't just ***** about them when it doesn't go to your benefit.

It would have been easy for the community to get CCP to drop the MT store idea.

Don't use it.

They aren't going to devote resources to something that makes them no money. Unfortunately, we've got the monocletards buying from the store, so it's gonna be here to stay. This was a nice example of the community griefing itself (assuming nobody wants the MT store).

Were they also posting from black NWO computers via secret routers transmitting on dark fiber? Also, Glenn Beck called and wants to remind you that he will be on GBTV in the future.

He may be making a reference to the probable dev alt post that had "we at ccp" instead of "the people at ccp" or something like that...it was one post and i personally don't find it that big of a deal - even if i did how would you fight that unless they CONSTANTLY slipped up like that (assuming there is a "they" and not a rogue CCP employee)
