Dear MD:

It's a new day, CCP's statement regarding the end of the world is out and I find myself not dissatisfied with it. That being the case, I bring you a 5plendid and exciting new financial product for your consideration!

This 5plendid new bond has a number of differences from the traditional 1 month MD bond. It has set dates/periods for withdrawals, and rolls over every month (Except for interest which is also paid on a set date, at the end of the withdrawal period!). Other than that, it works much like a regular bond, and you may specify whether you wish to invest long term, or a single month, or any number of months when you make a reservation. If you need your isk? No big deal, as any murblybux bond, your isk will be in your wallet in (at most) 24 hours, however by requesting your isk outside of the withdrawal period you forfeit the interest for the period.

This format has a number of advantages both for me, and investors:

Set dates mean you always know when your interest is coming and gets rid of the need to manually track it down. It also means that unlike last school term, my bond is unlikely to land on important dates, midterms, etcetera, a big plus for me! Plus, realistically I have launched a bond per month since I started doing bonds. Liquidity is a problem that comes and goes, but there is no question about the value of credit at a reasonable interest for my expansion and needs.

Long term bond with regular withdrawals and interest payments means that if you need your money, it's there, if you don't, you don't have to worry about hunting for a new investment each month. It also means that I get to skip the overhead of starting a new bond thread (or extending bonds!) every month!

The TLDR:

-30 billion isk uncollateralized bond @5% interest (edit: Interest has been increased from 4%)
-Interest and withdrawals processed on the second weekend of every month.
-If bond is called by me, get 1 or 2% extra bonus interest!
-Guaranteed 6% interest on the last month the bond runs!
-New "Request a performance audit" system!
-EVE profit and other updates on the first weekend of each month!
-murblybux news mailing list in game!

Other important conditions:

-It will probably be the case that during the school term (after September) I will have less free time, and thus, less need of ISK. In this case, bonds may be called, first by me by stating by how much I wish to cut down the size of the bond (which opens a window for anyone to step up and offer to cash out, if you cash out in this way, you get 2% bonus interest!). If sufficient investors dont volunteer to cash out their bonds, I may call back bonds in the order of "smaller first", in this case, the called bonds get 1% bonus interest in the period. This is equal to half a month of interest, and one quarter of a month of interest just for cashing your bond out! with this 5plendid framework you get to have your cake, and eat it too!

-If you cash out outside the withdrawal window, you forfeit the interest for the period. This is to encourage fund stability for myself. You may however sell your bond to other interested people and they will receive the interest as scheduled! This encourages a secondary market for murblybux. Only stipulation is that both parties inform me of any transactions in this thread. Remember to register your transactions! interest and withdrawals go to the registered bond holder!

-New bond issuance: It may be that I wish to increase the borrowed amount at some point in time. If I do, I will request a NAV check from VV first. New bonds are issued first come, first served, with the exception that murblybux platinum members (previous investors) get first dibs. This is my way of saying thanks for their trust!

-Innovative audit system: I will, as I traditionally have, publish Eve Profit screenshots every so often as well as a report of how I'm doing for your interest and amusement at the end of every month. You may, at your isk and convenience, request a performance audit from a trusted auditor who will receive my keys and cooperation. Limitations: My alts wont be public (except in the case of a scam), and what I trade, or where, or how will not be public, either!

FAQ:

Exactly how profitable are you and how do you intend to use the money?

Great question, my main intent is to expand my trading both in volume, and area as well as to expand into arbitrage and speculation. I have dabbled in both in the last month with great results.

Here is the June profit for Tutskii for June according to Eve Profit:

Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.

You'll notice its down a bit from the previous month! However, this is due to a pilot project I put in place of delegating sales to different characters as well as leveraging differences in prices across locations. This is the June profit of Tutskii, and a (undisclosed) trading alt:

Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.

It should be readily apparent that the new way of doing things is significantly more profitable than the old one, and (perhaps more importantly for me!) it takes less of my time. I intend to expand this alt arrangement to different locales, as well as invest in market speculation in which I was quite successful last month, as well. For this I a considering acquiring a number of things that should make my life easier, but in short, I will be using your money to station trade, and arbitrage trade, and I have a good track record with both.

What are the risks?

Generally speaking, the risks are that I die, or scam. I have a good record of doing neither, and should I die I have crafted a clearly written letter stating the instructions to repay my investors for my girlfriend, as well as the location of a number of files she should forward to the press about matters possibly related to my untimely demise, but completely unrelated to EVE. As for scamming? I don't believe in defrausing people, certainly not for monopoly money. Some people say that what you do here is completely unrelated to real life, but I think that if you can't even be trusted with monopoly money, then what can you be trusted with? Furthermore, I enjoy the community and my place in it, and the forum in general. I would be giving all of that up in order to scam, as well as access to credit, and the amount I'd scam is less than what I am verifiably capable of making in two months. That would be my case for saying that its unlikely to put it mildly!

As for the possibility of losing money? That's there but im experienced enough to keep my stock and risks to a controlled amount. I don't think its realistic to think I'd lose enough money to be unable to make my interest commitments or pay my investors back. As for burnout, I enjoy what I do and finding ways to do it more efficiently, should I get sick of it however, I can call the bond in which would guarantee investors a 6% return on the last month.

Collateral?

No collateral is offered, or will be offered. I have dabbled in production but I don't really have a BPO collection, and most my goods are stock for trading.

Who are your alts?

My alts will be kept confidential for the purposes of my peace of mind. I post with my main and have acquired some notoriety including people cargo scanning me and stating they do so because they have seen me in the forums. Although I try to make it unprofitable to Gank my logistics character/s I find no advantage in disclosing them. One caveat, Vaerah Varokha has my current API key for my accounts, and he is authorized to release my data in case of a scam for investor protection. This includes alts.

What do you trade?

I have been told not to tell people you have cake unless you intend to share it. Other than interest payments, I do not intend to share my cake :) I will however teach you to trade (maybe) if you ask nicely (as I have a couple people).

So, when you end the bond no matter what I get paid 6%?

Yes.

What about audits?

I have contacted Breaker several times about auditing me at which time his computer seems to fail and self destruct! I have also contacted VV about it and was quoted four hundred and fifty million isk for the cost of a performance audit and said its best to start it after the bond starts.

Now, I love VV and his work, but I have a problem with paying more for the audit than I would for a full month of ten billion worth of funds, or a Plex. The MD audit fund headed by RAW has offered to pay half, and I offer the possibility to anyone interested to pay for the rest in order to request a performance audit. Eve Profit reports will, however, be provided at regular intervals free of charge, as always. VV did advise that the audit should be commissioned before starting the bond, and receiving investor money, and would probably run for one month. This audit would only reveal my profitability from another angle, items I trade, where I trade them, characters I use, etcetera, would not be disclosed.

What is your NAV?

My approximate NAV as given by VV on the 14th of June was:

your NAV is 48,579B
Wallets 3,251B
Assets 15.935B
Sell orders 13,559B
Escrow 15.834

This doesn't include characters, or contract items, and is most likely inaccurate to some degree now. A new one will be given shortly, but its in that ballpark. I own at least 20 billion worth of characters and contract items by their current value in the character bazaar and in game. For this NAV check I paid 50 million isk. NAV checks by third parties will be provided at regular intervals especially when growing the bond, should it grow.

Any outstanding financial obligations?

None, my only one was the murblybux N3XT! bond for which 10.4 billion was repaid to E Trade earlier today. Hexxx owes me 3 billion for a bet regarding the validity of Hilmar's email which he may, or may not honor!

What is murblybux platinum?

It's my way of saying thanks to those that have shown their trust in me by giving them early access to my offerings, or other bonii. Investing in any of my bonds gets you in this exclusive club. For the purposes of this bond, platinum members get early access and preference when investing!

Are you aware that there may be different amounts of days in the period between the second week of a month and the second week of another?

Yes, actual interest paid will be prorated to the proper number of days in the period. This is also a good chance to say that the first interest payment will be made in the second Sunday of August. Interest paid will be 4% of your investment amount divided by 30, multiplied by the actual amount of days in the period.

How can I stay up to date regarding murblybux news, updates, post my bonds for sale and more?

Join the "murblybux news" mailing list!

I don't like you, nor do I trust you?

That's.. not a question! Please don't invest then!

What happened with murbubux4U?

The team responsible for murblybux4U was lost in a freak volcano airplane collision accident. Although our hopes are high that they will be found safe, we have decided to proceed with murblybux 5plendid. Its what they would have wanted.

Should I invest what I can not afford to lose?

As a general rule, no.

Where can I see your previous bonds?

Here:

murblybux N3XT!

murblybux Zwei!

murblybux 1

Are you worried about the summer slump?

According to eve profit I made 17 billion last month, this doesn't include contract items, or other non market related activities. If there is a slump, I have not seen it!

What other services do you provide?

At the moment, I and other MD posters provide 3rd party claim verification, free of charge, if you are interested you can find information on mcsv! here.

How does a bond offering work?

Post the amount you would be interested in investing, this will be a reservation, when the bond is full, or otherwise primed to start, a post will be made to send isk. Please don't send isk before that. You have 24 hours after the "send isk" post is made to send your isk! You will be included in the list of 5plendid investors shortly.

Are there actual in game shares?

No, 5plendid bonds are tracked, and paid manually like all murblybux bonds!

Is there a limit in how much I may invest?

No, as all murblybux bonds, murblybux 5plendid is a first come, first served affair. There is a minimum investment amount of 100 million, however.

What is the second Eve Profit image?

One recent Eve Profit update added the ability to combine two characters so that you may get a picture of their combined data. The second picture is a screenshot of the transaction profit info of Tutskii and an undisclosed alt. It includes the profit from the first picture.

What do you think about Eve Profit?

I personally use it and the times I have written Nomad Quento (its developer) about it he has been prompt and helpful in his support. I recommend it wholeheartedly for tracking your market related profit! It does not include any profit from invention, or manufacture however, and items made in such way will always be considered loses (as it has no price you "bought" the item at to compare.

I have questions or concerns not covered in your refreshing, hard hitting, comprehensive, 5plendid FAQ

Please post them below, I realize this is a new format and I would like to shape it into something that meets my needs and that of the investing community!

'Tis the duty of MD to ask such things so please don't take this as necessarily indicative of my thoughts at this stage but rather part of the traditional Ring Of Fire through which all must pass. Several times. Blindfolded etc.

Going from 2 bill to 30 bill in five months would seem.... on the rapid side, coupled with a tripling of bond size since your last offering... this could appear to be ambitious or suspicious dependent upon one's viewpoint. Any re-assurances you can offer or reasonings as to the large jump? How can you be sure that your operations can scale up to this extent whilst paying 1.2 bill per month interest?

No worries!

Well, with two characters I am making an eve profit screenshot verifiable minimum of 17 billion, up from 9 billion in May with just Tutskii. The hope is that adding characters in different locations would bring similar (perhaps smaller) jumps. Originally I simply station traded in Jita and until June that is about all I did. Now, I am expanding to export products from there to other places.

This both requires less work, and makes more ISK. It does move a bit slower though, which means I have to acquire a lot of inventory first, which I then have to move.

At the moment, my non Tutskii character in charge of sales is sitting on 12 billion worth of sell orders, for instance. The idea is to expand that to different locales which will probably require about 10 bil worth of inventory each, plus a new character that can transport and sell for each locale, and the proper ships to do so.

The other reasoning is that I intend this to be a long term framework to use for perhaps as long as I play EVE as my source of funds and credit as opposed to monthly bonds. Since I am unlikely to have more time in the school term than I do now (summer and my summer job is giving me a lot of free time), and it is traditionally hard to increase the size of bonds, I am shooting at the maximum amount I think I may need.

Those would be the reasonings as well as those in the FAQ!

I don't think I should have a problem making enough to cover interest and profit going by my track record, but if things don't work out and expanding to other locales doesn't work, I can resell whatever I buy for the operation at minimum cost.

Oh, one more thing! When I had just started trading in locales other than Jita, I would use couriers and move Tutskii to update orders and set them up. This was time consuming and annoying, and my habit of moving stuff on Tutskii ended up with a suicide gank costing me some 600 million. Now I use self sufficient hauler/trader characters I can park wherever and who can modify and set up orders and have the proper standing.

Let me know if you have any further questions!

That is actually a really good answer.

To quote the late great Columbo - just one more thing:
Can I take it to assume that part of the initial capital will be therefore spent on char purchases and freighters?

To quote the late great Columbo again - just one more thing:
Is Misty McGinnity one of your alts? Sorry not been paying attention to forums a while so I'm not sure if it's open knowledge - just that post above and then I notice Misty has been running bonds recently too. Again - kinda expecting this to be open knowledge or something as I really haven't paid any attention to forums for last few months.

Ideally yes, however, I prefer Orca's than freighters due to faster warp speed and ungankable for profit. You can also use a MWD to get in warp rather fast which means that I can update orders on one char while moving stock around with another. Most characters with Orca seem to have freighter trained as well, so that can be used if need be but personally I don't like flying freighters.

For the second question:

Misty was a troll alt that roamed the forums some time ago. Its original owner biomassed her and now mans a different troll called Jerry Peppridge (sp?). Someone else recreated Misty who has no relationship to the original one.

The "whoops wrong char" thing is a Meme, he does it in.. a lot of threads. I personally have no relationship with the old Misty or the new one, but I did fight the old Misty to the death in a condor when he hung out in SCC-Lounge before his biomass. It's my only PVP kill ever :D

Thanks!

Yep, sorry about the Misty thing, started reading post history and first thoughts were "erm, feck if those two are connected I'm not going near this with a barge pole", then realised writing style completely different and saw (for the first time, or perhaps I just fell for it the first time, or the whole thing passed me by somehow) the meme to which you refer.

Rest sounds good, can empathise loathing freighter flying.

Now just need to figure out if I can do anything more useful than 4% with a bill or two. I'm going to have to have a little think - guessing you'd like to kick this thing off by next weekend?

No problem it is not really your responsibility to be up to date on random forum trivia!

Ideally, yes. Traditionally my bonds fill rather fast but I realize this is both a new framework and an ambitious investment goal.

Either way, thank you for considering murblybux, and should this 5plendid new bond fit your investment needs, make sure to post a reservation in the proper amount.

My bonds are first come first served (as I don't see a benefit in dealing with infinite people) but there is a minimum amount of investment of 100 million to keep things sane

The minimum amount you may invest is 100 million ISK, Investment amounts must be in multiples of 100 million ISK, as well. This is to make things easy on everyone involved really.

There is no maximum invest amount. The bond is allocated on a first come, first served basis, and a single investor may cover the entirety of it if he so desires!

Thank you!
