Not sure why CCP needs a translator for their statement. Isn't the middle finger that they are giving the players universally understood.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Love to hear about regional differences.

Are we there yet?
Are we there yet now?

Guess they are sending the draft to their regular russian translator by steamboat and horse.

Many cultures have different gestures, you could get into trouble giving the OK or thumbs up gesture some places... the middle finger is pretty universal though. Here's a quick run down of some of them. Wink

Its not hard to answer the only important question.

Pay to win - yes / no

Making us wait is insulting, and personally crushes my spirit as the politics are obviously more important than our concerns.

As part of the Dev blog, I expect an explanation as to why it was so important to make us wait weeks to receive a simple answer to a simple question.

Hey everyone,

Let me give you a quick update and explain what is happening.

Our Localization team are working on German and Russian translations of the Dev Blog right now. Our current policy on Dev Blogs is that they must be released with proper translations for our supported clients which are English, German and Russian. I can appreciate that many of you are anxious to read this blog and get answers to many important questions and all I can promise is that as soon as everything is ready, we will publish the blog and announce it through the player news center, MOTD, and all of our social media outlets.

It would be highly inappropriate for me to tell you about any of the contents prior to publication or to provide any type of hint as to the content of the blog. We feel that it is important for all players to read the contents and view the video with no preconceptions or expectations based on hints or rumor.

We realize that many of you have been extremely patient and are anxious to get more details and this will happen in the next few hours. Should there be any further delays I will be sure to keep you updated although I do not expect this will be the case.

Your current bull**** policies required you to fly in the CSM in the first place, yet you try to excuse yourself another time in the middle of a thread by pointing at policies?

You obviously did not learn anything.

BWA AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I just realized,

CCP is currently being overcautious. But then again I can see why.

In the end I tend to feel the biggest mistake we will all see that ccp did here is their complete and total mismanagement of communication.

I personally don't think CCP had any sort of plan to deal with a PR disaster of this caliber and so they dealt with it they way they had in the past with smaller PR bumps in the road. Which was clearly the wrong response.

Now considering how much greater their initial response ballooned the problem they are walking on egg shells and are trying not to make any more mistakes, hence the extended silence. However they are playing a dangerous game. By making the player base wait longer their increasing the chance of even greater out rage if they don't give the players the answers they want.

If ccp does give the players what they want then this extended waiting period will have paid off. CCP has scarred a portion of it player base that regardless of their pending answer will not return. But if after this debacle EVE is worth playing and we all hop back in our pods this will have come as nothing more but a costly crash course in PR, and communication.

I hope my analysis of the current situation hasn't appeared to damning or optimistic.
