You think they're bringing ship spinning back?

No, it was tweeted yesterday that the old hangar is gone forever. The best you can hope for in that regard is that the static hangar door will be a permanent solution rather then a temporary one.

They need to atleast come out with a deadline for "blogs", speculations have begun, and the rage are slowly creeping in.....You can only hold back for so long....sorry, but that is how it is.....

Small fires of speculations are beginning, and more and more are being drawn towards them....

Time to grab our remaining accounts and return to Jita?

Speculation on when these will be released anyone?

Monday 1900-ish EVE-time.

Which decade?

It had better be damn good.
And it won't be unless it includes Zulu's resignation.

Unprofessional that guy.

Either way, they got 4 days left until my sub runs out.

For this statement to have taken this much time suggests one of two things:

1) CCP management have reached a level of incompetence that almost redifines the whole concept of incompetence. They should know how much this matters to a significant element of their customer base and should have managed to get at least an initial statement, if not the full thing out by now. I realise that might have meant PR, legal and translators working late or even overnight but frankly that is not unusual in the business world. So it might mean offering a bit of overtime or time off in lieu - so what, this is important get it done. Done it often enough myself when the crap has hit the corporate fan.

2) Key folk at CCP don't actually think it's important. "Work late ? Pay some overtime ? No way this can wait until Monday."

They announced a press conference tomorrow for gaming news sites, which I would assume takes place soon-after the official statement is released tomorrow.

We shall see how it all goes.

Do you think maybe it's because they know every single word will be pulled out individually, quoted out of context and spun into whatever that particular thread starters agenda is?

They need to be very precise in what they say. It was prolly already written, but now being combed over for all the possible ways it can be misconstrued. Then rewritten and given to someone else to intentionally misinterpret. Then rewritten and... well, you get the idea.

And I for one can't blame them. This situation is so volatile on all sides that they need to be very careful how they word this thing.

Mr Epeen Cool

Yes. I agree on every point.

Come on, show some patience, folks. Not everything in the world works on a "gimme now" schedule.

I would guess that if they are not out by tomorrow then probably early next week given its the 4th of July weekend in the states.

I would also speculate the amount of time being taken is for one of a couple of reasons.

1. They are trying to answer in precise detail what went on in the meetings.
2. They are spinning the answer in precise detail what went on in the meetings.
3. They are partying
4. They are trying to prevent another botched devblog

Who knows whats really going on, only CCP and CSM knows. I will just wait patiently while I fish and BBQ this weekend Very Happy.

Iceland does not celebrate the 4th of July, therefore I would consider it out before then.

if its not out before, we should give them a reason to celebrate. - the 1st intentially caused node crash of jita?

Like I said, they called a press conference for tomorrow and sent out notification to the various gaming news sites.

I highly doubt they would have scheduled it if the statement to the players wasn't going to be released beforehand.

You clearly don't know CCP's track record with press announcements

that press conference is only to state "we don't listen to what our players say anyway, and are going to kill eve, to prove it."

Possibly... I mean Ive been playing for 6/7 years or so but it escapes me if there were other situations anywhere close to this in terms of volatility.

Hrm... Well there was the blueprint thing, and disabling of ghost training. Can't remember if those ended up with CCP scheduling a press conference to address them though.

In the end, I'm very curious to see what CCP has to say. I'm hoping its not, "We talked to the CSM, and decided that Eve is awesome and the players have nothing to worry about!"

Ugh, I hope not because then I doubt we would see the dev blog covering the CSM visit until then.

They spoke about it on everadio, but it was about 4am, so I might have misunderstood.

Well that's 11am Saturday.

We know the CCP and CSM statements, video message (goodness knows what value that adds) are done and the transcript and translations are in progress.

Given the majority of that was done before the CSM got back on the plane and that it is now 11am Saturday I suspect CCP are going to delay this to at least Monday and if possible leading into the 4th of July holiday in the US.

The lack of updates today tells me the PR playbook is being well thumbed in the last few days.

The danger for CCP is the longer they leave this more credibility they lose calling for patience because of "publishing processes" when it was very clear a tad of midnight oil could have knocked this off.

The more they try to spin it the worse it's going to look so they might as well be honest at this point.

Hmmm, last year they had no plans for MT of any kind.
This year they have no plans for non-vanity MT.
Next year.......Stay tuned....or not.Cool

It's obvious the delays are intended.

Everyone was much more worked up earlier, and CCP wishes everyone to be cooled down before they make their announcement, out of the hope to minimize ragequitting. The tactic is an obvious and expected manipulation of the circumstances.

I'll be interested to see how many sheep manage to be herded out of canceling their accounts if CCP announces non-vanity MT's will eventually happen. I'll have one more good laugh at it before I go.
