Dear RPG friends,
I am looking for information on the current state of the Republic and the status quo within the tribal system. I have not see on any article that the Elders have made any political move in the Minmatar politics but i may have missed something.
Also i would like to know how is the 7 tribes alocated within the Minmatar worlds.
Have the Starmanir and the Nefantar move out of the Sanctury or they are still follow the Thukkers?
They were some troubles on Pator but after that nothing.
And that was 2 years ago?

TYIA.

Not gonna lie, this may well get moved to Eve Fiction section, but here goes.

Some parts of the surrent state of New Eden as a whole are left woefully un-elaborated by CCP, for some reason they havnt ben giving it much time.

Basically, the sytem is somwhat like it always was. The Republic oficially comprises of 4 of the seven Tribes, the Krusal, Vherokior, Sebiestor and Brutor. The Heads of each tribe sit with the others in the Republic Parliament, and the Sanmatar is elected from the heads of those 4 tribes, to speak for the Republic.

As of yet, the Thukker are still nomads, not affiliated to the Republic, but their actions have certainly brought them some kudos from the Republic. As far as I know, at least some of the Nefantar are still call themselves Ammatars. The Starkmanir now mostly reside in the Republic, as do many Nefantar. They do not yet however have any official representation.

Now the Elder question. As fiction currently stands, The Elders do not in fact have any official power. Their power seems to come from the amount of respect and veneration they have amongst the Matari. It is using this that the Elders are able to influence people like Sanmatar Shakor.

As I said, CCP has serious work to do on its background fiction.

Edit - Most Nefantar defectors and Starkmanir still live in the Great Wildlands with the Thukker.

The Tyrant Shakor has all but abolished the tribes just as he did the Parliament. The tribal system has been turned into a base caste system with Brutors holding all power under the Tyrants leadership, most everyone else lives in squalor or from hand to mouth.

There was a Tribal Assembly called ages ago to solve the issues but something always seem to come up so the Tyrant can postpone it ad infinitum .. personally doubt that will change as long as he remains in power.

The proud and noble Minmatar, a Republic forged from adversity, brought low by a common usurper.

This screed is filled with so many lies I hardly know where to begin.

The Sanmatar has abolished all the Tribes? That will come as a HUGE surprise to all us Sebeistor as well as our brothers and sisters in the Vherokior, Brutor, Krusual, Thukker, Nefantar and Starkmanir Tribes. It will also be a shock for all the Vherokior and Krusual bureaucrats in various governmental agencies who are the backbone of the Republic government. I'm sure they just didn't get the memo. Nor did the Sebeistor scientists and academics working in higher education.

Base caste system? My dear confused woman we're not talking about the empire here. There is no caste system in the Republic, period. None of the Tribes is subservient to any other. Also, because I know that as a keen observer of Matari affairs and this must have just slipped your mind, you know that Shakor resigned from all positions of authority within the Brutor Tribe so I rather doubt that he's working to the benefit of the Brutor only.

Accusations of tyranny? I don't recall Sanmatar Shakor issuing any sweeping edicts to remove political opponents and consolidate his own power as did Heth, nor did he establish a secret police force like the Black Eagles. There is no Theology Council to insure that all citizens of the Republic speak and think only in approved ways.

As for the living in squalor remark, have you been to Rens or Pator or Gelfiven? No? I'm certain that if you had you'd have noticed the thriving and vibrant economies where no one is living "hand to mouth". I always hear you imperial bigots describing these horrid living conditions within the Republic, but oddly you can never substantiate your arguments. Are there poor people who have fallen through the social safety net? Yes, as there are within all of the nations, but no more so here than anywhere else. You also forget that a prime tenet of Tribal society is that each clan takes care of its own. If one of our clan needs help, we help them as best we can. We would never allow one of our family to starve.

I think the reason you imperials complain so much about the Shakor government is because you're afraid. Afraid of the more aggressive militaristic stance, afraid of the growing unity of the Tribes under Shakor.

Spread your FUD elsewhere, slaver.

If it is so far fetched, then:
- Why has the Tribal Assembly that was promised almost three years ago not yet been held?
- Why is parliament not allowed in session except when the Tyrant Shakor needs something specific?
- Why are Thukker's who have been persuaded to join the Matari people proper, treated like outcasts by Brutor's?
- Why do the Starkmanir need their own paramilitary forces to protect themselves within the "Republic" from Brutor's?
- Why have the interim refugee camps, that were meant to help sluice Matari coming home into society, become regular ghettos?

Could go on and on, but you really should read the news from home.

Your proud Republic has been commandeered by the Brutor tribe under Shakor's leadership and has been turned into a common dictatorship while the able bodied men and women have been sold on the lie that perpetual war far from home, is the only path to freedom and peace.

Look inward if you dare. There is a cancerous growth on Pator and it is choking the life out of the Matari peoples.

You should proably read it too

Quote:
"The Milisi has received statements of support from other Tribes in the Republic, especially the Brutor Tribe which has pledged to actively support the Milisi efforts with hardware and training."

From the very first article.

Incorrect. Shakor has brought back the tribal roots of the Matari people. The republic was failing.

This time, we will do better. Perhaps even regain everything taken from us by the amarrians.

Which is a follow-up to the one prior.

It is commonly referred to as a "protection racket", very popular with thugs and criminals throughout time.
Mess someone up and then pledge support to prevent it from happening again .. for a price.

In this case a Starkmanir sage was murdered by thugs in a Brutor controlled "refugee camp" during a 'riot' and once again security personnel didn't make it until well after the fact .. near perfect repeat of the murder of another notable free thinker (Abel Jarek) a few years ago.

Wish that it was so, because that would mean peace and prosperity for all peoples of the cluster.
But with forced segregation and most of the repatriates from Her Imperial Majesty's 9th emancipation decree still living in the camps your much vaunted unity is an illusion.

So after the Empyrean Age we had no news whatsoever in regards with the Empires?
Wow, i havent missed anything then, been busy with 0.0 warfare.
Its pity though we could had another book to read about Eve online.
I believe abit more RPG would had been good for us.
Maybe a minmatar expedition to the Sleepers domain could have give some more technology or something similar.

Basically, the last real update we have on the state of the Republic or whatever Shakor is trying to make out of it is from the "state of the empires" PDF CCP Abraxas (IIRC) released a bit after Empyrean Age. There's a wiki article with the contents:

Sad isn't it? FW has RP potential oozing out of every pore and started with a bang + GM involvement .. then nada other than the occasional news blurp Crying or Very sad

Doesn't mean we can't RP, but the lack of development does put a dampener on things as anything done can be undone in a heartbeat if an official writer says so.

Another thing was the Broker.
What was his motivation to sabotage the Tripwire system so the Caldarians attack and retake Caldari Prime. I mean i know he is dead but surely someone could have wrote something to explain all this well executed invasion. Btw now that he is dead can i have his stuff?
I am serious.
The guy was so filthy rich he could buy Caldari corporations.
