6k rage nerds decide to quit, they were given ample opportunity to log on to singularity to test out Incarna before it was released and make their voices heard, they chose not to. Now they want to throw it back in your face.

10k botters and rmt's were kicked and banned not long ago and new eden was a better place for it.

49k accounts have not bothered complaining on the forums, so i assume that these people fully support the way EVE ONLINE is going.

Keep up the good work! Cool

Dont stand down!

Funnily enough, that's not what the rage is about, so no amount of testing would have solved that. Moreover…
Quote:
and make their voices heard, they chose not to.
…even funnier, those of us who did log in can't help noticing that choosing to make our voices heard has had no effect.

No voice could be raised about the things people are raging about.
The things people made their voices heard about were not addressed.

So what was your point again?

Agreed. It's just very angry minority that's raging on forums and they shouldn't be allowed to stop eve from moving forward just because they don't like something CCP is doing. I am also willing to bet majority of these who "cancel" their subscription will renew it soon after it run out and it looks like they are still actively reading and posting on these forums, so I suspect they aren't even planning to "quit" at all. Wink

way to miss the point completely.

1. we are here BECAUSE our voices are not heard (if "greed is good" and "hilmar-mail" and "devblog" didn't show us that, what else)
2. alot of ppl did post suggestions and concernse (one even made a video about it how incarna should be), only because YOU are oblivious to it doesnt make it an argument for you

Also, sub-statistic are important, not login-statistics, subs don't run out instantaniously.

Hmm… no, none of that was on the OP.

The OP suggested a problem that was a straw man and a solution that was proven ineffective.

So what was your point again?

Btw, I can't help noticing that you accidentally claimed that a vast majority of the EVE players are complaining about the direction CCP has chosen. Was that your point? Because you're giving kind of a mixed message in that case…

"Don't stand down"?

I'm baffled by some comments lately. How could you stand on CCP's side after what happened these past days? Or worse, even cheer them on to continue down this anti-customer path?

Do you genuinely want micro-transactions for none-vanity items? If you don't, did you not understand what it is all about? Or are you just trolling to feel important? Are you just feelling all manly that such a thing can't possibly bother you?

I really want to know. I'm a very new player, so no bitter vet at all. But it took me all of 10 minutes to realize that all the outrage is very understandable and should be supported (which I did).

That has more to do with the reaction to CCP's plans than with the testing procedures and the way they pushed out a patch that was full of critical bugs that had been known, reported, and repeated on the test forums for months…

…so yes, it's an issue apart.

Then again, you could be right. After all, the first round of response from CCP had confused the two as well, so it could very well be that they're carting the CSM over there to discuss something completely different than what the rage is all about. That would not really be a positive thing though.

Majority doesn't even read forums, most ppl who are less passionate about the game simply quit if not satisfied with something. Besides that, plz explain how MT crap is "moving Eve forward"?

i hope this bit is a joke. People from the game who havent come on to the forum to complain cannot all be labeled as supporters of CCP. There are thousands who use other forums to voice their opinions and anger, many who discuss it ingame and refrain from forums, and probably many who are unaware of exactly what is happening.

Yes, im sure there are many who are happy with the updates and the new direction, but im sure there is a large amount who are not, and although they may have not posted to state that fact, it doesnt label them as happy in my book.

Nah. Assume he's right instead — it's much more fun that way.

49k out of 350k accounts have not bothered complaining. The only way to know a negative (e.g. they have not complained) is to test everything else and have it come out as positive. This means that some 300k+ accounts have indeed complained. And yet, it has mostly been contained in a few threadnoughts and the odd single-issue thread here and there.

So not only is he claiming that the vast majority agree that CCP has done something wrong, but he's also implicitly saying that this majority is far more well-behaved than the ones who mass-spam threads to complain about this majority. Wink

There is already micro-transactions for none-vanity items and has been for very long time. I will let you figure out that yourself Wink
Also everything you buy with AUR you can get with ISK. You don't have to spend single cent on these vanity items and still get them if you choose to spend ISK to buy PLEX which you convert to AUR.

And who said PLEX was good? It was a least of two evils, either PLEX or e-bay. Besides that, PLEX still works through game economy, AUR can completely bypass it and spawn endless stuff out of nowhere.

I looked at the CQ on the test server I knew it would be slow on my machine. I looked at the NEX store once and rolled my eyes. Then I pushed and poked my dinosaur of a machine to try CQ after it went live and then disabled it.

So what did Incarna do for me?

1. Confirmed I need I to build a new machine
2. That I need to keep CQ disabled till step 1 is complete
3. Reminded me of why I play, that being I fly a ship and not a Sim in space.

So pretty much Incarna hasn't effected how I play eve other than disabling the stations enviroment for the time being.

You do realize CCP is spawning stuff out of nowhere even before these vanity items? Game simply wouldn't work if they stopped spawning stuff out of nowhere.

Let me fix that for you.

I mean, the whole point of MT is to satin-tongue the likes of you into paying more real money to have more fun in the game.

Now if CCP had any recent history of getting the "have more fun" part right, there'd probably be a little less rage. Or if they'd have any recent history of getting the "satin-tongue" part right.

Yes, I'm aware that self regulating, fully functional model of universe cannot be created by CCP or any other company. However, CCP have created something called sandbox and regulate EVE universe by changing certain parameters, like loot drop tables, roids spawn rates, etc. All of this still allows the sandbox to function, hoever, directly spawning stuff, bypassing all those mechanisms destroys the sandbox and turns Eve into a scripted MMO, like WoW.

Right. Then it took me another 5 minutes to realise what you apparently haven't. Or maybe you've read it already (it's all over the forum) so you either just refuse to acknowledge it or really don't understand it.

The difference is the thin-air that these items are spawned out of, completely circumventing the player economy. Do you not see the "tiny" issue with that?

You can also already buy 100m SP characters for ISK.

Wouldn't you think there's a difference if these were created by CCP directly out of thin air?
