Hi, I just re-activated my account after last playing 5 years ago.

I'm noticing tons of new stuff (Exploration, lvl 4 missions, Tech 2 BS, Wormholes, etc!). I'm very enthusiastic about all the new stuff!

I have a few questions however, that browsing the various wikis didn't clearly answer. I hope someone can take a few minutes to enlighten me.

1. My character sheet says I have 3 remaps available. Does this mean I can use them all without any waiting period, or do I still have to wait 12 months after I use a remap?

2. Apparently I'm in a PoS now belonging to a very hostile russian alliance deep in 0.0 territory. Pretty much all my ships and belongings are in that station. I can't fit, insure or basically do anything, and I think I have a snowball's chance in hell of reaching empire space alive in a shuttle (with a head full of implants too, oh well :P). Is there anything I can do about my hangar, at least not to have to start over in a frigate? I have several hundred millions worth of items there, basically all my net worth.

3. With all the new skills introduced since I've stopped playing, I'm unsure on how to get back on my feet and making some ISK. I have 12M SPs, mostly spent on skills needed for a Raven. According to EVEMon, I need only about 2 weeks of training to be able to fly a Golem, and seeing as I already have Torps V trained, I should be able to use T2 torps. Am I going to be able to do Lvl 4 missions in a normal Raven, quickly enough to get some good ISK income to move to a Golem? If not, any alternative suggestions? Looks like I'm going to have to train survey, salvaging and such too.

I could use a few pointers...

1. No I dont think you have to wait 12 months. Infact, if you wait 12 months I think you will get a 4th remap.

2. To be honst, your screwed. I would however, consider attempting to join whoever currently owns the station your in, I mean seriously, its worth a try right? If they let you their corp alliance you can get your **** out and then go from there.

3. A normal Raven can complete level 4 missions fine.

I would also suggest to petition a CSR about your current situation. You may be still flying home in a shuttle, but it never hurts to ask.

You can use them all IMMEDIATELY. After you use the last one, you have to wait 12 months for another.

Put everything up for sale and jumpclone out, or make a run for it in a shuttle.

I'd use a T1 cruise Raven until you can afford the Golem.

Unfortunately, when I left the game clone jumping hadn't been invented yet so I don't have the required informorph psychology skill needed to.

I guess I can try putting sell orders on various stuff, but this place doesn't look like it's getting many visitors.

Ok, I just discovered that I'm a lot less poor than I thought.

Did you guys know that research points keep accruing even while the account is inactive? After a few visits to my (lvl 3 only) research agents, I have about a cool billion ISK of value in various datacores. Shocked

Man if I had known, I'd have had more research agents back in the day...

-remaps can be used any time, you get another every 12 months, so you only have to wait if you use your last one. then 12 months later you will get another.

- Don't sweet being in Russian space. You can try getting into the corp or at least into a corp that is blue to them. But if you don't speck Russian it may be difficult. On the bright side most of the big Russia alliances hold a lot of space that they are not active in. If the system you are in is dead you should be fairly safe until you reach the more active systems. But keep in mind if it is a hostile station as soon as you undock you will not be able to redock there. Deal with you stuff before you leave. The Russians are crazy but a lot of fun to play with if you can get on their good side. I don't know why they bother taking space they neither need or use once they have it. Many of the systems they took in Geminate are basically empty now with some of the former owners still ratting/exploring there. The Russians don't seem to care as long as they hold sovereignty. If you put your stuff up for sale there, even if it is a dead system, for the right price players who are blue to the corp holding the station will travel there to buy it. Sell 10-20% below average price and anything will sell fast, Even in null. Sucks to sell so cheap but it is better than leaving it there to rot.You also have the option of making a courier contract to the corp holding the station from there to a station you can access for any of your stuff you really want to keep. Even offer some of your gear as payment for moving the stuff you want to keep. lots of options there.

Easiest thing to do would be to liquidate all you assets in the Russian space station, (might take a while)and they most likely kicked your clone if it was there when they took it over. Sucks to lose the implants but in null you take a chance of losing them every time you undock, so is it really so bad? Set up a ship with a good tank and as much warp stability as you can and hope for the best. No point in fighting just tank and run, you might get through. at least then if you do get podded you at least had a chance to keep the implants.

Skills are easy once you know where you want to head. Work out a game plan and check what skills you are missing to make it happen. With 12 mil skills points I assume you already have all the basics, you will only be missing the specialty or high tier skills you need for what ever goals you set. You can always train for a blockade runner. If you can buy one there, you should have no problem getting out of Russian space in one with a bunch of your stuff if you are careful. Blockade runners are T2 industrials that can warp while cloaked just in case you have not read up on them.

They used to yes, they dont anymore. You got some benefit but then they fixed that a while back.

i was in the same position, returned to eve after a few years and most of my stuff/ships and my active clone were sat in some station now belonging to a russian alliance. As they did not like me, i was unable to use any of the facilities so could not change ship fittings, repair or even re-process.

In the end, i made a run for it in a shuttle and got podded. It actually wasnt too bad as i ended up in a system where i had lots of other stuff, and saved me alot of time :)

i did try a petition as i have heard of GM's being generous in this situation, but i was refused as its a 'valid part of the game'. In the end, i contracted the ships, sold one BS, got another still on contract. Am trying to sell a Rokh for 50 mil and it still isnt selling lol
