Thats the fine thing about vanity items. They are there for vanity! Personally I would buy something if I found something that set me out among other pilots. Like a monocle. Its worthless ofcource in space combat, but hey, who cares! Its there for a purpose and that is to make the buyer cooler without giving them a boost game wise!

It just proves you are a moron with access to too much money. I really don't know how you can imply it makes you 'cool' with a straight face.

I'd be curious to get Entity's take on this.

Too bad he unsubbed because of CCP's determination to drive this game into the ground. Kind of answers the question though no?

Because for me its a game I have played for soon 6 years. I love this game, and if I can get some bragging right by spending a few aurums - sure - thats fine for me.

THe cool thing about all this is:

A. YOU dont have to buy anything of these items and will still be able to compete with me on equal terms.

B. I can buy it if I want to get some cool items I like. It might make you jealous ofcource, but since its not a gamebreaker you gotta live with it. because thats what I am buying: cool great items with bragging rights!

And morons are people who cant understand the difference - like you.

Certainly does and honestly, about the sentiment I expected. I hadn't seen he'd unsubbed - another iconic player lost. :awesome:

If you haven't made a name for yourself in 6 years. The ability to have some virtual goods on your avatar isn't going to do anything more than make you look idiotic. No one gains respect just by waving money about.

IRL i dont mind spending money on games, but the monocle is a little overpriced, it doesnt look good IMO. i think if they had much more cheaper items then added the monocle for $50 or w.e it would have looked better.
i dont colect things in eve so i wouldnt own a bunch of vanity items but i might buy 1-2 things if they are good looking

assuming csm saves eve

Players have been collecting spaceships for their vanity and they will continue to do so. Let them do it, but we do not need to go for their wallets. It is just plain rude. Trying to get some extra money out of the younger players who are tempted to spend their allowances on virtual clothing is a terrible idea for game where parents play together with their children.

well if ccp decides to take vanity items out of the game and scrap the whole mt idea which they should but if they give in and do they would be worth a **** load
