Heat is quite an issue with EVE and mbps. At least in other games FPS have made a good difference in lowering heat buildup from what I noticed.

So, my question is if there is any way to restrict EVE FPS going above a certain value? 25-30 is usually perfectly fine for what I do.

I think you're looking for the 'Interval' value... I use three, still seems smooth enough and definatly lowers FPS

Thanks for the tip, however I did try all of the intervals and none of them affects the FPS... well only the interval immediate does, but what I get there is a boost Neutral.

Perhaps its a cider/driver issue, from some forum searches about this it seems a lot of people use it in order to restrict FPS, but those are all running windows. Are you sure it works for you under OS X?

Ah well, its not exactly a gamebreaking issue...
