Pete, you're exposing your motives. Wrong move. We all know you just hate not being the best. Sorry, doesn't work that way. Try again.

I'm -2 subs but still moving stuff to a safe spot in the hopes the coke party CCP's throwing eventually ends and they actually fix things. Not counting on it though. Thinking about heading to a market hub and droppin' some cans......YARR!!!!!!

That's great that you guys are showing support for the company.

The company is developing three games right now. Subscriptions from EVE pays for all of them. Dust 514 and Wold of Darkness are not ready to stand on their own communities. CCP has 600 hundred employees, three offices and plenty of promises to keep.

EVEen if you get three times more faithful counted than those whom got fed up and left, you still are missing them to make this best situation for the company. You also add more drama to the now viral PR monster.

No matter how many people show support, even if the mob breaks up into quiet individual choices ... this will not end till CCP comes out and address the concerns. People will either go out in full spotlight view or leave silently.

Your show of support is admirable but the source of rage is inspired by CCP's lack of communication.
Someone over there needs to connect with this community like it matters.

I don't want to see the game harmed. I loved it for so long.

As of the loss count in the other thread, 2572 accounts have been cancelled. 2572 x13$ a month comes out to 33,436$ per month. Multiple that by 12 months in the year, and we come out to 401,232$ lost per year if they players do not return. 401,000$ is quite a chunk of money for any company. They'd have to sell 5897 monocles to make up what they lose in a year if none of the players return. Of course, there are always new subscriptions, but we don't know what their gain:lose:retain ratio is.

THOSE STATS MEAN NOTHING, GIMME STATS OF THOSE WHO HAVE BIOMASSED, UNSUBBING FOR A MONTH THEN COMIN BACK IS WHAT MOST OF THOSE GUYS GONNA DO, UNLESS U BIOMASS YOU'RE A LAUGHING STOCK WITH YUR PROTESTS.

not at all because each one that stay away for 1 motnhs means 15$ less for CCP. IF CCP looses more moeny from this one motnh than they amke from monocles... its a well transmitted message!. Even tough a lot pof peopel have subscriptiosn that wil run out only in a few months (like me) so THe overall impact can only be observed by end of year

BUT to udnerstand taht you woudl need to think ..

From the Slashdot story, and I need to verify:

Quote:
If you put it in numbers, about a year ago or so CCP announced that they'd probably not spend a lot of time for the following 18 months. Around one hundred cancelled subscriptions were counted on the official forums. The number of subs EVE actually lost at that time, according to mmodata: 40.000.

This time the forum count is above 2000.

Edit: Yup, roughly 40,000 subscriptions lost after the :18months:

because if we unsub we stop payign for NEXT motnh., If we dont log in now we are allowign ccp to stay with our money for NO service and no cost for them. THAT would be stupid as that would give them LARGER margins!

Exaclty because we are SMART and know what wll at end make our message get to them is why we unsub and continue to play and use CCP service as long as possible.

The objective is that at their next proffit balance they see a DROP. nothing but that. Because that is what they will listen to.

can i get three cheers for blind consumerism and corporate facism?

hip hip!

op is either a troll or a ccp goon. If youre still subbed and enjoying the game, chances are you arent even aware that there are forums at all, let alone a protest.

try harder.

Most anticipated and eagerly waited expansion in years.
Current online record 63,000.
Weekend after said expansion, which includes many alts of those protesting and those that re-subbed specifically for Incarna, yet you think 50,000 is a good number?

Cool story bro.

Well most of the games on that chart are up and down, Eve is quite steadily increasing over all Smile
