This post deserves a sticky, the OP clearly put more time, effort and heart in the writing of this topic then Zulu in his blog yesterday.

+1 good thread

CCP should just get that stick out of their behinds and forget about a shoddy expansion every 6 months and instead focus on repairing what's broken, even if it takes a year - there are plenty of threads regarding the bugs relating to each section of EvE and a lot of them are easily implemented.

Very well put. CCP if you claim there is too much RAGE in the other threads - this is what you need to pay attention to.

I have a suggestion for you. There is an editing error when referring to the issue with SWG. It is SWG's NGE not NPE. Its fairly important.

Otherwise great thread, keep up the fine work.

Guys - if you've read this can you acknowledge/apply glue or something please? (Cheeky i know) as the sheer volume of forum chrun is pushing this too far down too quickly.

I think if people see there is a potential for a simple response in a calm controlled way then things may settle down a bit.

@CCP Anyone,

Please? Pretty Please?

Good topic... looks kind of like what CCP would be doing if they actually cared...

You should add to the list the ship fitting nerf (down from infinite on own pc to measly 50 on server)...
not because they did anything about it in this patch (although they should)...
but because they apparently are thinking about selling us back for MT functionality we had before for free...

Also design implementation of CQ looks purpose made to ignore the backstory and kill immersion...
I.E. pod on end of balcony instead of in own room, forced entry on every dock, lack of facilities found in even the most run down and crappy motel room (no toilet, shower, Coffey machine ect)...
Clothing changed by magic mirror... as opposed to having some kind of closet with clothes in or something...
Forced to retake portrait every time you changed outfit/makeup, because you need a new driver's licence photo every time you get dressed in the morning, or change clothes after work...
The UI opens up windows that cover the view... which is fine in the pod as the view is a computer feed generated by the pod, you expect that kind of stuff... but when walking around you expect things to work in the environment, not cover it up... highly immersion breaking, as well as being bad design and clumsy to use...
The fact that they were expecting us to pay extra RL cash... and not in small amounts either... for clothing and accessories for our avatars is immersion breaking... and does not support the in game player driven market...

Those are my additions for now... I would also add I agree with all the points in the OP up to the point I posted this...

Might add more later.

Concise and comprehensive. Stickying this thread would be an excellent first step in addressing community concerns.

This needs too be stickyed. It's really too bad ccp doesn't care about their game anymore and will ignore this feedback like they ignored all the feedback leading up to the patch.

Its true, adding glue and opening a dialogue through this thread would be a good approach by ccp.
But I expect silence till Monday

Yes, but it's just more words, words that were predictable, and mean less. It means more to act. Go act.

I'd like some sort of response on the disconnect from reality in CCP Zulu's post. Nothing in Eve is on 'boutique' level of quality, or desirability. Asside from the fact that when you 'buy' something in Eve, you don't actually gain ownership of anything, just the access to it which is dependant on your continued subscription (with the finite date of whenever Eve finally shuts down), Macro Transactions DON'T WORK! Are you seriously proud of a .001% community uptake of expansion content? Seriously?!?

2nd Seriously?!? moment...
You think your pixels of an eye glass are worth the cost of a new release collectors edition game, that is a complete product? SERIOUSLY!?!

Defenetly the biggest crap i've lived to see in eve.
What normal person would benefit from a static image with a door when disabeling Station Environment? I mean.....WTF? Are you serious CCP?
I submitted a petition, got no answer. Probably they are still trying to figure out what they whanted to achieve with that Door lolz.
Old station environment was great. The new one is eating my GPU and gives me with low settings framerates of 7-8 fps. My pc is not new, but....i played other games like F.E.A.R or Crysis and didn;t enouter problems with FPS.
Anyway, CQ is defnetly a missed target with absolutly no use to us players.
And AURUM? Let it be, CCP will soon notice it's absolutly unnecessary. A bunch of coding with no use.

CCP should sell this game to a company that can handle such a massive multiplayer game. It's a shame this game idea is laying in the wrong hands and easy going down :(

Very well thought-out post.

I think you forgot none of the main issues, and I'm positively surprised at least a few have kept their cool, so that this giant clusterf*ck may eventually be handled. If CCP choose to do that, that is. And the way they're behaving right now, I doubt that'll be happening soon.

They will have to at some point, unless they want to turn Eve into a withered husk like SWG turned out to be.

The playerbase is key. If the old players run away, what is there to keep the new ones in the game? I've made quite a few friends ingame, and I've just played for less than a year. If everyone I know ingame were to suddenly throw the towel because they got fed up with CCP's antics, I know what I'd do.

I think the principle of what would happen is generally being referred to as the 'butterfly effect'.

To be honest, I don't care about your NeX store and the overpriced items therein. I don't care about CQ, especially the way it is now - utterly useless from a gameplay perspective.

What I do care about are internet spaceships and...wait for it...the Eve economy.

Somebody gets raw materials, refines them, builds stuff from them, then sells said goods. Wherever the ISK used to buy them came from, it didn't circumvent the market. What I care about most is getting the guarantee you'll stay away from ships, SP, remaps, new types of ammo and uber mods for real money. Because that would mean paying to win.

The only other thing coming to mind now is speculation about the certain CCP employees' ancestry, so I'll leave it at that. I hope somebody will pick the more interesting bits out of my post, if needed.

Get CCP's **** out of your mouth. Just because you don't mind being stomped all over by developers doesn't mean the rest of us are so spineless.

You think you are being "tough" do you. I'll bet CCP is laughing about a lot of this, customers who think they will tell the company how to run things. Adapt or pi$$ off whiner...

We can only try to advise against this selfdestructive path CCP is steering EVE into. If you have a problem with that, you are truly ******ed.

Now everyone please quit the pro and con RAGE and just help this thread get an answer from CCP.Exclamation

edit: And basically, this thread is just the tl;dr version of this letter
