I felt the need to address the reason why you(CCP) need to make your stance and intentions clear on the MT shop. This should be done even without the current ****storm. It can be condenced to two points.

Firstly you should do it because there is demand for everything. Over the years that I've read the forums, there have been people asking to buy almost everything directly from you. With over 300k subs anything you sell someone is willing to buy and the more advantage it gives the more people will buy it and that forces others to buy no matter how they feel about it. If you just go by what people will buy and demand, you are saying to us, that you have no limits and will break the game sooner rather than later.

Secondly you should do it because you design what we demand and need. If you go for gameplay influencing items, you create a direct incentive for yourself to stop producing the best game you can and start creating artificial inconveniences and limitations, so that you can sell us solutions to them. I think this is bad for the game and game design in general, but especially so if you don't make your intentions and limitations clear. Please note, that what you can get away with in a F2P game isn't going to be acceptable in a subscription based game.

I realize you want to keep all options open and hate being tied down to promises, but this is the one thing where you have to draw a line in the sand somewhere. It might not be where I want it to be, but for better or worse you have to draw it somewhere, so the situation is clear and we can move on from this. Point being whatever the next response from you is going to be, it needs to be precise and clear with as little room for interpretation as possible. If you have plans already made, talk about them in as much detail as you can. If you just try to get out of this by confounding the issue with vague generic statements, people will assume the worst even if your actual plans are much more reasonable.

Thanks for your time.

Most good business owners will tell you, you don't run a business from the bottom line. You run a business by going out and offering up the best possible product and everything else sorts itself.

When you stress about the bottom line, you create a self fulfilling prophecy of failure. Every action you make is based on money without the consideration of what a better product would do for you. All you care about is how to make the now cost less.

CCP used to run based on, Ironically, the fearless mentality. They went out every day and did things nobody else in the gaming world was doing b/c they knew it was going to make a better product. And during that time, they risked it all on the edge of bankruptcy... until their company one day rejoiced as their server hit 10,000. Then it hit 15,000. then 20, and 22, and 26, and then one day, on a plane ride, it was announced to their CEO that they hit the 30,000 mark. CCP went out there and risked it all by listening to their players and doing amazing things that challenged the gaming world logic. But in the past four years, there's been a horrible shift. It was slow at first, but has slowy become rampant.

The breaking point where it shifted past the 50% mark of good to bad was a patch and the failure to fix it after the lag and performance went to **** in one patch when sov changes were implemented. Somehow over night we went from 1500 players going at it in space on reasonably low lag and consistently performing servers to 200 players not even loading. And since that point, while the game has seen it's share of improvements, it's seen drastically more disappointments and pointing towards CCP caring more about money than making a superior product.

The death of this game won't be 3000 accounts ending. What's going to kill this game is the unwillingness of players to log in that still do pay for the game. CCP is so highly unaware of how much of their business is players who spend 100s if not 1,000s a year on GTC's to buy isk which ultimately get traded on market which allow players like me to play without ever paying dime. When those players start playing less, the GTC market will dry up and the players who rely so heavily on them will too. CCP hasn't offered up a game in 4 years I've been willing to pay for like I did for the first 3.5.

More and more frequently I let at least one of my 2 main accounts laps and most of my other accounts frequently stay dead for months at a time. I'm so close to the point where I'm ready to give up that it's really hard to even justify keeping 2 accounts or even one up. My patience is gone waiting for any of the problems of this game to be fixed. And my trust that they'll fix them properly is even more razor thin.

It used to be an issue of, well there's nothing else out there that grabs my attention. But that was then. The gaming market is coming out with so many new things, so many exciting things, that it's hard to make that arguement anymore. CCP is long past the days of being fearless and exciting. They no longer make a dynamic and challenging game. And they sure as hell don't even maintain what was once good at an appropriate level. It just comes down to players indivdually asking themselves, "have I had enough and is there something better?" Sadly, this latest CCP fiasco is answering that question for a lot of people. And no, it's not just about a stupid monicle. It's about an utter **** patch, **** content, **** execution, **** performance, no fixes, and lack of content.

I believe they know this. It's only during the "transition phase" that it be bothering them.

Some people are dumb enough they'll still be subscribed halfway through.

Then the 12yos from DUST come. Eve devs stops. Pew Pew Pew. Ching Ching Ching.

All with about 10% the workload.

edit: damn, forgot it's social network and needs hub people.... small niche... where are they? oh...

Not long after I had a go at em. I wasn't tuned into MT so much as their dev failing though.
Although there is talk about PLEX and how it forces CCP to cater to new players only.

edit: really though they wanted us for another 9-18months and now they are in a lil trouble because we got a little too good at watching the machinations of complex organisations.

I agree their models probably had the current playerbase for another year or so of development time til they were 'ready'. SOE probably thought the same thing with SWG, they never recovered.

If CCP is willing to take corrective action and right the ship they can survive this, but I believe it'll be a smaller leaner company coming out. They need to again be bold like they once were. In the beginning they made a game that was quality far beyond their peers and it attracted many sorts, sadly they've let it coast the last couple of years with sub par work always chasing another star when the answers really lay right before them.

It's just like their new forums, those are intentional and part of the greater plan. Just like SOE they hope to sweep everything away so that their new players aren't troubled with how things used to be.

Why anyone would want to mimic the SOE SWG NGE disaster I don't know.

CCP Oveur and them were all good guys when it was just EVE, they were responsive and worked hard. It seems that they've lost their way. If they were to rededicate themselves to fixing the many problems they've let linger, to finishing up the many unfinished initiatives and opening the communications lines again as it was in the early days they can fix and save the ship. Otherwise the ships hull is leaking and the water is rushing in. The pumps will hold out for a while but ultimately she's going down.

I entirely 100% support what CCP is going to do with the Noble Exchange, whether they continue to expand on the vanity items or remove the Nex. It's up to them.

However. I thought about it and decided that if non-vanity, non-unique items become available for Aurum, I am going with the exodus.

I will not stand for you taking sales, ISK and thus gameplay away from manufacturers and miners.

Lots of rumors flying about that Merc corps and alliances will be war decking and or ganking any player caught in space that has vanity items. Any word on this? PL has supposedly introduced a ban on any player with vanity items.

First of all Incarna's developing was not so smooth as you CCP guys think. (for example it completely screwed my solar system map. Oh ok.. only a few player lives in a class 4 wormhole space)
Second I tought I have a very good computer configuration which is only a year old. Two client's just eat my processors. Wtf is that.. Game like this should be more playable..... eh..

Answering the question.? CCP Zulu: I wear a jeans which costs 0,025 $.. You just a huge buncH of capitalists, but so sad you are proud to it. But This time, why dont you guys tell your boss whats going on, take the responsibility or the possibility, someone gets fired, and ANSWER OUR ****ING QUESTION!! I tell you something more.. FAIL ideas like MT and moving Turret slots, cant hold old players in the game. maybe a bunch of newbies came, but 2 mounths later they leave because its remains unplayable. (fix the bugs only I think ,, the newbies get what they want already, and the old ones stay, becouse game gets better at once.) Keep doing like this CCP, Vanity Buttsexing the old players etc.. It will kill EVE.

Oh did I mentioned? ANSWER OUR ****ING QUESTION!Neutral

I have been playing since 2005. It is the only game I played because it was special. It had consequence.

You make or take real time and effort from your enemies or for your friends. You literally make from Eve what

you put into it.

Microtransactions (or megatransactions) take away from that experience if they deal with anything other than Vanity items.

You say, "Trust us." You have been promising to take a look at Damps. At Blasters. At Mines. You can now add alternate

station interiors to that list. Fix and balance what you have on your plate CCP... then come and ask us to trust your judgement.

It's clear that this public message was intended for release after they released Incarna and along a timeline where CCP didn't think they would have some leaked emails to deal with. This message was pretyped before Incarna ever hit and it's obvious that it is. That is why it doesn't answer anyone's questions. The that they made us wait a day before it was released is crazy and fact that no one realized this is crazy. Total horse****.

The part about the clothes. The upper portion was created recently after they found out about the leaked newsletter. Should have mentioned that in my first post, sorry.
