The whole Charm to this game is that players create / make everything in the sandbox,
Vanity items could have been made through Planetary Interaction ? and i imagine people would buy the items on the market ?

If the company wants to create more wealth how about sending out more free updated game trials which is how i got into the game myself, that was a good idea.

Please dont move beyond vanity items... EvE Online has a monopoly on the space sim mmo so it puzzles me why such risky concepts are even on the table ? EvE Online is fine as it stands. i did like the captains quarters, but you carnt have one Economy that undermines the other.

For me it is all about the time and money spent by CCP on a expansion that is only aimed at the filthy rich (In Game) - In my view expansions need to be focused on creating new content that the majority can enjoy, at this point NEX is aimed at the elite few - wasted time and effort in my view (even though my finances allow me to purchase any item of clothing). I am a trader and was hoping for opportunities to profit from the new market - prices made this impossible.

Please look to giving the majority of us new and exciting content! no point creating something that very few will use.

If virtual purchase for cash is limited to Pets, Clothes, things that DO NOT AFFECT GAME PLAY - then whatever, does not affect me.
BUT, the DAY YOU HAVE TO SPEND CASH JUST TO COMPETE IN THE GAME I PAY CASH FOR EVERY MONTH - that is the day I quit and find somewhere else to spend my money.

I have no issues with cash for paint jobs, clothes, etc... but when it goes beyond that - well, they are saying that the subscription every month is just not enough to pay the greed or the fees - does not matter to me. If they need more to keep it running, raise the fee's do not make it a 'If you want to pay more, you can own everyone' competition, that would and does truly suck (in life, in a game, everywhere).

With time and dedication most of us are able to have fun, but if this fun could get ruined because of some AUR market which gives unfair advantage (like faction ships or skills boost), then the game will be litteraly over.

OK you want to sell stuff that does not affect gameplay.....I can live with that you money grabbing gits.

However the day ammo, ships and standings become available through aurum purchase is the day eve loses what makes it eve.

U didnt say it will be only clothes.
Why dont u just say that MT will be only in clothes or things that only for show off.
We all worries about that ccp might put up the better ammos and better ships that only can buy with MT. this will surely make u guys more money but ppl will leave in long run. Its been always like this when end of the games life cycle.
If u need more money, why dont u guys make the more way to get more new players and make them easier to sattle down on eve than right now.
Easier and better tutorial or more localiz the game for 3rd country.
Ic there nothing that u guys been working on to get more new ppl in game but using same old things such as buddy programs.
Make ur marketing team better, make it easier to sattle down new ppl comes in
Plz show that kinda work than just brings the idea that any other company does.

Kinda sad that this issue, of all things, is the topic my first forum poast. I'm generally content to let the sentiments of the community at large speak for me here, but I'll add my 0.2 ISK anyway. Incarna has been a misbegotten undertaking since day one. I doubt that even the sunny optimists here can honestly deny that it's added very little to gameplay - essentially just a 3D closet environment which adds no original functionality and no roleplay value, either, given that other people cannot enter - and has led to a massive PR fallout due to the dubious Aurum/PLEX system and exorbitant 'microtransactions'. While I'm certainly no economist or business analyst, I suspect that the anticipated mass influx of avatar-oriented new players to whom CCP hopes to appeal will not really arrive.

I'm sure that many will hasten to point out that CCP has repeatedly stated that the Incarna that's live on TQ is not the final product and that the station environments are still in their infancy. This actually leads me to my next point; stop implementing unfinished content on Tranquility. Full stop. It's really as simple as that.

This title is positively littered with bugs and imbalances that have been awaiting correction for years. Not only that, but it also has a considerable amount of unfinished content that has in many cases seen no significant improvement or additions since it's release. Besides buffing their nos/neuts, Sleeper sites and wormhole space in general have not seen any changes or meaningful additions. Magnetometric sites (in k-space everywhere)are still for the most part utterly worthless. Factional warfare is quite stale and two-dimensional. T3s still cannot refit subsystems at POSes. Just the tip of the iceberg.

But at least I can walk around a little office in full 3D and use some snazzy holograms instead of the buttons on my NeoCom like the rest of the Luddites.

I won't even get into the assertions that EVE is being shoehorned into the use of certain technologies as a testbed for another upcoming CCP title except to say that it certainly seems plausible, given the dogged stubbornness with which the dev team has pushed Incarna.

I have two accounts which shut off tomorrow. While I wish the teams at CCP all the best and don't share quite the same degree of personal vitriol that some posters here have, I too have no intention of renewing my subscriptions unless CCP's corporate vision of EVE Online acknowledges and acts decisively upon the wishes of it's community and our elected representatives on the CSM. I'm quite aware that EVE is CCP's product and as such they have the right to do with it as they please, my subscriptions are maintained with my money, and I of course have the right to do with it as I please.

Two more stars wink out of New Eden. Your move, CCP.

Protesting in Virtual space? You are wasting your own time and I laugh at you as I pass by. If it does come to pass that people can buy their way up the skill queue, that will suck. In the meantime, Good job CCP.

Wow we really are a bunch of whiners.

I mean such a small issue that causes so many people to cancel their subs,
so how do these vanity items affect your normal gameplay such as pvping, pveing, industry, whatever?

From my point of view Eve is still the same game, with a feature of two I have no interest in exploring, just as I have not participated in an Incursion, but you won't find me ragequiting because I haven't invested any time in a new feature addition.

So am I led to believe that the people unsubbing WANT a monocle or other vanity item but don't want to pay the price/too lazy to make/earn money to afford it?

If I have it all wrong I apologize, but I ask those considering quitting consider why they play Eve, what makes it enjoyable for you, what causes you to log on and ask yourself - Has anything really changed?

To CCP: Thanks for weeding out the weak! I'm EX-NC so I've known for years that we needed to trim the fat of carebears, cry-babies and bandwagoners!

Hey guys I see that it's still going on people saying they are canceling there accounts and how eve is going to die because of AUR and the NEX store. Why not stop and see what is realy going to be offered in the NEX store other than clothes before leaving eve. CCP is going to do what they are going to do might as well enjoy eve until we all see what direction the NEX store is going to take than cancel your account / accounts if you don't like it. I for 1 and others I know would pay like 5.00 usd extra a month for a monthly license to be able to use our roq or carrier in hi-sec. O what fun it would be to wage hi-sec war with my carrier along side my Meg lol. Or having my roq in a hi-sec ice system compressing every ice cube in sight O the tears from the carebears lol. But that's not going to happen now or down the line.

CCP is alot of things but from all my years in eve the 1 thing they are not is crazzy enought to screw up a good thing. Now people are going crazy over mt for clothes items and mt will prob be used for custome ship paint jobs. But who cares I don't want any items like that. All I want is what I have now free updates cool ships to fly around in and the up coming station enviroment to play around in while my new alt is stuck training until he can have the skills needed to do some thing other than blow rats up. That is what this move by CCP is all about making a place and offering items to bring new carebears to eve so we can find new ways to gank them LOL. Like the time 1500.00 usd worth of plex was blown up in jita that was a blast LOL. Just think of a hauler load of NEX store items being ganked in Jita and all the tears of the carebear that lost it. I say bring it on CCP and let the ganking start in 5..4..3..2..1... GANK LOL. Twisted Evil

I am sorry to see the game I have played and loved since I was introduced to it in '05 slowly drift away from what it was to the sad state it is in now. CCP's total lack of communication with their player base as well as the evident disdain with which they regard their customers has been the final straw. It adds to the increasing incompetence shown in patching, as evidenced by the number of patches that have already been released after Incarna, as well as the unaddressed imbalances in the game, many of which CCP have said they would address and have then completely ignored in favour of frivolous crap, not to mention the complete failure in dealing with the issue of lag.

I will be canceling my four accounts as soon as I leave my main and primary alt's corp when the 24 hour role dropping timeout passes.

And no, you can't have my stuff.

It would appear that there are so many people that have already said exactly what i was going to. I for one will probably be one of the thousands of players that will be letting my accounts expire if nothing is done to make us happy again. I have steam coming out my ears right now.
And if anyone wants a free monocle, come to my captain quarters with your sunglasses on....i`ll make you one for free ;)......

I'm going to put in my vote for eliminating the monocle shop. It's a dangerous precedent, which will clearly lead to weapons, ships and other in-game items being only available for purchase with real money. You won't be able to keep from going down that path. You know it and we know it. Just remove the temptation now.

I would also like to point out that Incarna is yet another example of CCP's lack of focus. I can't count how many "features" you've only half implemented, lost interest before fully fleshing them out, and then moved on to something else. You're just a bunch of big thinkers with little follow through.

WTF are you talking about? The pay to win scheme means that some nub with 10k in daddies money can start an account, fill in the skills and SP, buy all his ships gear standings, buy things that can only be bought directly from CCP with uber stats, warp in on you and annihilate you, your corp and alliance. Take your SOV and buy protection from CCP. No one said anything about end-game, but it will be the end of EVE except for the five stupid rich guys on the server paying CCPs bills.
