"I hope I‘ve addressed your concerns and cleared up a lot of the issues you‘re having."

Erm, nope, not at all. Check the responses to CCP Pann's thread. Clearly you have no idea. Sad.

Seriously, that's it? That dev blog is about as useful as the Incarna updates. No issues addressed at all. If it were someone else I'd say he was trolling.

Well I guess many CCP people are now polishing résumé and browsing job boards. The head of the company is so out of its mind it will likely only take weeks and not months to run the company out of business.

What the hell did you do with all the notes and quotes CCPFallout and Manifest have been gathering these last two days?! You disregarded anything that these poor bastards have had to sift through!!

While I agree that personal attacks on people are not right, and that yes the discussion in the internal magazine was just that - a discussion designed to bring new ideas to the fore, it doesn't answer anything other than "we aint changing a thing". This seems out of touch. Microtransactions are very unpopular with the user base - yes people don't have the buy them, but the fact that they exist is enough to annoy people - because if there is something they do want available why do they have to pay twice - and where will it end?

The existence of microtransactions won't make me cancel now as there's nothing else out there at the moment I would rather play - but when a new MMO does come out which I like the look of, my loyalty to EVE will have been shaken enough to make it easier to move across.

oh and by the way I don't wear $1000 jeans. Nor do I know anyone who does - why? because they're ****ing stupid. That's why.

Really, 1000$ jeans, that the kind of category you people think in? Frankly, I'm a little disgusted here.

Also, amazing that it took you all day to write a devblog that doesn't address any of the player's issues. Good job.

Please answer if they are going to be just vanity items or not. That is the issue.

What a absolutly confounded waste of ****ing time CCP. I mean I speak for most of the eve community when I say we really want to collectivly slap you round the face.

Come on people lets go back to protesting in Jita :P MASS-PROTEST channel in eve has nearly 1000 players all calling bull****. Go rewrite the blog and include a lot of flowers and chocolates or you can start digging the bloated grave to bury the once amazing EVE Online in. Neutral

Tone deaf and insulting...

Really? It took you all this long to come back and insult us while answering nothing? So, don't get down on the poor CCP employees but it's totally ok for them to get down on us? Really? 196 pages of commentary and this is what we get?

This didn't address a damned thing! I seriously hope there are in fact many many more dev blogs coming in let's say the next... 3 minutes because if not you have just unleashed ****storm mk II.

$1000 jeans... you all are totally out of touch.

A complete non-response.

Lacks any sort of answers. Addresses literally none of the key issues

Expected whitewashing and a non-apology. CCP delivers.

Looks like Eve truly is dead.

CCP, you should watch some of your trailers from 2007 and prior to truly understand what you've killed.

We do not accept your typical "No no, you misunderstood us" nonsense. You deliberately avoided all the major important points of contention, and that is despicable.

I for one am done paying you. I will spend the rest of my subscribed time making sure as many new players as possible are made aware of your policies, views, and methods of dealing with the community are known, that they may avoid making the mistake we have of actually giving you money.

OMG I can not believe what i just read. If a blog is not released calling this a hack I'll throw up.
It is hard to imagine a wore response to the criticisms and arguments being raised that this. May I point out:

- which by the way is one of our more smooth and successful expansions, not to mention absolutely gorgeous. Do you play this game ? Smooth, successful, lol expansion. haahhah It is perhaps the most content devoid expansion in history. There are 10 items. That's it !

- it‘s not cool how individuals that work here have been called out and dragged through the mud - yes it is. They called us alot worse in your internal doc and have treated us worse.
- these people were doing their jobs and do not deserve the hate and ****storm being pointed at them. Yes they do actualy. You LIED LIED LIED. And a bunch of other stuff equally as bad if not worse.

- you should remember that we are talking about clothes. NO YOU FOOL WERE TALKING ABOUT PIXELS. Clothes i can wear pixels i cant.
- 1,000 jeans from some exclusive Japanese boutique shop. You're kidding me right ? You just CAN NOT BE SERIOUS ! You're trying to calm the anger with a reference like this. You would dare to compare REAL LIFE with in game ? Are you that detached.
- the sad culmination of vainness <------------ THIS
- while others will admire you and think you are the coolest thing since sliced bread No they wont. Trust me.

- We hope you enjoy them and are as passionate about them as you are of the current items that are for sale. OH BABY YOU AINT SEEN PASION YET.

- I hope I‘ve addressed your concerns - nope not a single one. keep trying.
- cleared up a lot of the issues you‘re having - no none at all as a matter of fact.
- We‘ll continue monitoring the forums and other communications channels and pick up and reply if there are concerns not covered by this blog -- You're not paying attention are you ? At all.

Why release and expansion that has less than 1% participation. If almost no one uses it does that not constitute failure ?
Why release when you were told by sisi testers that it wasn't ready ?

Ughgh why am i bothering. Pann lied, you dont want us to help, you want us to shut up and pay. go to hell. I cant wait to watch you burn.

Dear CCP Zulu,

You are alienating your current core userbase. I think I know why, too: You're banking on drawing in a new userbase to replace us, a new userbase who'll bend over and pay through the nose for "designer" space jeans. And you're probably right to think that those people are out there. But as SWG pointed out with the infamous NGE, you cannot trade one group of customers for another and get off scott free.

The people you are ****ing off are the people paying your salaries. Get a ****ing clue*

Ok, for the first time I want to join the protestors. This devblog is a spit on player's face, everything is ignored, nothing answered, it's just a "Calmdown please, but anyway we assume this newsletter and you'll certainly have things way more expansive than monocle on NeX soon." Shocked

I hate to say this, having sided with CCP almost 100% so far on this controversy.

Here's two points of feedback that I advise you take very carefully.

I shop at Nordstrom's, Neiman Marcus, and other high-end shops in America. I've paid $200 for an ordinary enough shirt before. But generally speaking, there are other options available. And the better looking clothing is of much higher quality. Generally, what costs more, lasts longer. I've had walmart pants, they tear up, fade, and look bad. You need to reflect this in game. If there's a $60 product, there also needs to be a $6 comparable product. And believe me, you'll sell more of them. Not everyone is the elite, but everyone deserves the right to wear clothes. If I want to stand out, I don't have to wear haute-couture. And if I do wear haute-couture, it should look extremely different from what you normally see in the streets. An ordinary virtual skirt shouldn't be $25 when it's the only skirt available. That's called monopolizing. Rather, if you have a normal skirt for $3, and a fancy skirt for $70, people will understand. But you don't have anything to compare to yet. For introductory prices, these are simply too high.

The most important advice you can take is that you should listen to your customers when it comes to pricing. If you want money (which you do, according to your newsletter), you have to be competitive. Your prices need to be on-par with those in other MMOs for similar quality products. If they aren't, no one is going to buy them. I'm all for vanity items. I have income and I want to buy them. You're not going to get my money until you lower the prices, and many other players feel the same way I do.

It's not appropriate for you to complain about a ****storm that resulted from your own actions. Keep better control of your newsletters, be more careful what you write, even internally, and if you do screw up, apologize for it. Don't ask people not to rage at you, that will only make it worse. At least let people vent on the forums. Things will blow over if you leave them alone. Most people are raging at the possibility of microtransactions breaking gameplay. This hasn't happened yet, so just let them debate it, listen to them, and then come to a decision. Publish this decision, and stick with it. That's the only way to calm players down.
