No, it's not. It's a waste of my time, which I could be spent gathering more feedback and talking with people making sure the player's perspective is being shared with people higher up the ladder, I'm wasting time with extremely childish antics that get no one anywhere.

Really, this needs to stop.

As i look at Jita, Amarr and Perimeter i think we are way past the point of asking people to calm down.
Giving no responce and telling them not to do this will only give the rage more fuel.

Now it are the main trade hubs that are blocked next could be the forums being flooded with more pony's.

I really think a responce from CCP is long overdue. I also think that CCP should be very carefull what to post as almost everone in EVE is looking with fear or with this pure rage at you responce. A few ill chosen words could lead to an explosion and who knows what next.

Please do not let this go out of control any further.

It seems to me that the issue is this. The player base has been clear about not wanting RMT, and being ambivalent (at best) about Incarna. These sentiments seem (rightly or not) to have been completely ignored by CCP.

Now, these sentiments were not always expressed in the most reasoned, eloquent way. The internet is what it is, and its denizens are prone to hyperbole and vitriol even when they're calm.

And now? The playerbase is ****ed. When you use hyperbole as your baseline, where do you go from there? I appreciate that you need to maintain some sort of order on the forums, but these sentiments are not new, and should have gone up the chain before this crisis happened. Bile spewing seems to be the only way to get the message across.

Well, that and shooting up space monuments.

People voicing legitimate outrage?

Cant handle the heat get out of the kitchen.

This attitude of looking down on the very people that make the game possible and the jobs of CCP possible needs to stop.

I don't see any circumstance where one's customer wastes one's time since the customer is the one paying the bill. That's your's and CCP's problem right there.

Honestly, in most lines of business, when you insult your customers by calling them names to their faces (childish?), they talk to your superior and you get diciplined.

I fail to see how childish behavior, makes a statement any more than a child throwing a tantrum. Both need to be punished and ignored.

This is *not* a brushfire that can be contained. This *is* the the beginning of a revolt. Revolts need to be understood, grievances need to be addressed, and action needs to be taken. Spin has no play here, the unpalatable nature of these changes and the questions that have been spawned by the communication regarding MT is making this situation uncontrollable. Every minute you squander is just going to add to the universal misery of CCP. It's unfortunate that it seems to have come to this, but as much as I keep trying to tell myself its just a game I think the actions over the last few days have proven that it's more than that. We spend time here, we spend money here. Time and money we don't get back. Many of the account holders have put a sizeable bit of their lives and a not to be overlooked amount of treasure into EVE. Therefore I think it should be understandable that when they see things going a direction that is bad for EVE they would seek a redress of grievances. Yes we could all just leave, that would be easier for everyone, but I think the fact that most are choosing to scream injustice and go to the effort of actually protesting in game should tell you all you need to know about how much the line has blurred. It does matter to us. That should be obvious to everyone at CCP now.

YARRRR!!

Without our outrage the people higher up the ladder would've simply ignored this. You know this is the truth. You know they don't even listen to your own people. Of course you're bound to pretend something else but w/e.

I find this statement to be a bit disingenuous; you say that this "child behaviour" is wasting your time, yet clearly the noise being made here is actually causing you (CCP) to atleast take more than a passing glance at your history and perhaps make some changes. So yes, this behaviour IS getting us somewhere.

To reiterate:

"It's working."

U mad?
What do you expect by completely ignoring the playerbase for 2 days?
What about all the valid concerns being raised?
Get over yourself and stop treating your paying customer base, that have brought this far over 8 years BY THE WAY if you forgot, like ****.

Dear CCP Fallout,

As a 5/26/2003 (and BETA) character, I must convey the following: You work for us. We pay your living. If you do not accept this, you are welcome to find employment elsewhere. Your players are not wasting your time, they are simply giving you the feedback you asked for. Regardless of how you feel about the feedback, it IS feedback.

The playerbase is charged and you should not be surprised. CCP has made a grave PR mistake and this is now out of your hands. Escalate the issue so that the appropriate responses may be made. Once CCP has rectified the situation, everyone will be able to move forward and this threadnought can be put down for good.

Thanks,

Jada Maroo

I dunno why you're surprised. CCP planned to turn us all into their own personal ATM machines, people found out, got mad. Seems pretty rational to me. Now CCP is QQing about the reaction?

I can sympathize with your situation, however, you and I both know that everything that is going to be said has already been said... CCP could have avoided most of this if they had engaged the playerbase earlier. The ball is in CCPs court and they are dropping it.
The longer CCP keeps quiet the more time the playerbase has to create MT parodies, protest, etc. thus giving the gaming media more detrimental things to write about Eve. Tell that to your "people higher up the ladder".

Ah it all doesnt matter one bit. I have to completely agree with CCP Fallout that this is whole thing is childish behavior.
Whats the point of shoot invulnerable structures trying to take down a server built to handle this abuse and more.

Anyone who want to protest for real simply dont buy aur items and be done with it. If it doesnt generate income then its considered a failure.

I find the NeX to be one big joke but in fact its not forcing me to do anything i normally wouldn't do heck if you could even buy a ship with aur how is that different from selling plex and buying one?

NeX is nothing more then some shiny icons trying to catch the focus of people to use a system that has been in the game for a long time already which is the plex selling/buying

It becomes slightly different when you can buy things like skills that you normally cant buy with the original plex method but well see if that ever happens.

Why should CQ be made optional? nothing else in eve is?

CQ causes massive CPU and GPU usage? Not really?

Incarna is filled with bugs? The only ones I've seen have been dealt with already.

NEX stuff is too expensive? Why? you dont HAVE to buy it (granted this is the one thing in eve that IS optional...)

And in there official statement, they made clear that it wasn't policies, instead it was just opinions on WHAT COULD HAPPEN!!!

Also, all you forum Keyboard warriors, how often do you guys actually play the game? Do you play the game more or troll this forum more?

Edit: Also, the forums are not the entire player base... mmmk?

The EVEO forums ARE NOT the eve online community. They are were the eve online trolls, and bitter vets live.

Ahh wrong!! i rarely post in here but WTF..... the issue is only RMT for in game - game effecting items that would destroy the sandbox and everthing that makes EvE great.
