So you find that your wife has written a self-help manual for women titled "Is Adultery Good?" Made up of thoughts on all the benefits of adultery with a few caveats. Then you find she is beginning to purchase sexy lingerie which you never see her wear for you. Are you just ready to dismiss her writings as just...

..."a discussion, a debate. It's a series of observations on the current state of things, and people's reactions to and opinions on said state of affairs."

Players reacted because human nature dictates that usually what you think, say and write is what you will eventually do.

The newsletter was primer for CCP's future decisions, else why would they bother publishing it to their employees?

Thats because you are a mere consumer, with ZERO worth. The rest of us, are citizens.

I also think its important to note that opinions expressed in FEARLESS are just that: Opinions. They do not necessarily reflect incoming in-game changes. We had two sides of the argument expressed in FEARLESS because it was a debate, a discussion concerning the subject and very little more. I feel that we're choosing to concentrate on the negatives, or rather we're choosing to very seriously focus on one side of the argument. People are looking to burn CCP Soundwave at the stake and I take personal offense to that. I've met the guy, he owns so hard and he such a cool dude its not even funny. But even the coolest of cool dudes is allowed to have an opinion you don't agree with.

I am rather ****ed that their opinions (and potential options that are obviously on the table) involve ****ting on promises they have made to the playerbase.

On the other hand, ammo bpc-s bought by aurum could function in the same way as ammo bpc-s bought by LP points.

I`m sorry but it`s not true.

How many pvpers use regular t1 ammo?
They either use t2 (scorche, barrage etc.) or faction becouse this gives an edge against oponents.
If they want to sell aurum ammo bpc at exorbital prices (looking at cash shop in eve) they need to be better than faction or no one will buy them.

So where this leaves us? All pvpers switching to aurum ammo will be mandatory to be on equal grounds with opposition but its not all.

Faction ammo needs will go through the floor to mostly pve use, LP value will decrease, mission runners will get affected, manufacturers of t1 ammo that is used to LP conversion will get affected and so on.

Eve is sandbox pull one string and quite a few more strings will be moved as well, some in not very nice direction thats why balance is always tricky and this move could upset balance in far more ways than i can imagine.

Unfortunetly eve menagment doesnt seem to play eve (they even talk about they favorite game in the greed is good) so they don`t grasp that concept and think it will work in sandbox as well as in thempark which imho isn`t true.

With regards
Sarani

No, it isn't. One page was a discussion. The rest of the newsletter was entirely about microtransactions and their role in filling CCP coffers. They even ignored their own advice by opening NEX with outrageously priced items.

It's clear CCP fully intended to implement Pay-To-Win despite their recent denial.
