What I would like to do is import every market item into an excel spreadsheet then update all the market statistics that EVE Central provides once per day so I can run lookups on the data client side. I know how to do a single item request however I'm unsure of how to do multiple items in a single request, when I put in two item ID's the XML map branch structure stays exactly the same in Excel 2010. There aren't two branches which I would've expected to see considering I requested two items. The branch that is there always pulls data from the first item ID. So my first question is how do I fix this so that I can get multiple item ID information from a single request, or how can I see it if it has actually pulled it but I'm just not aware?

My second question; is it possible to pull the data from every market item and have it format itself in excel in some fashionable manner rather than having to manually insert the data from the branch XML map structure for the data types listed?

Thanks,

If you're just opening an XML file in Excel, I've found that Excel doesn't always understand the organization of the file the way you want it to. When going from XML to Excel and back I almost always use Python. I have an example here. It should be enough to get you started if you hsve some basic programming knowledge.

The problem (and strength) of XML is that you can structure it to fit your needs. This leads to everyone using a different structure though which causes problems like the one you're seeing.
