I just get the feeling that after the CSM meeting we will see that calling the CSM in was just a a publicity stunt by CCP, and like times before, we (the subscribers) will be crying that the CSM is a lame duck and the results of the meeting amounted to nothing.

If the CSM come away from Iceland feeling they have achieved nothing, and the player base feel that the CSM has achieved nothing, then I suggest the only reasonable course of action for the CSM to take, is to resign on mass.

I can guess;

Loads of spread****s shown, implying the economic future, and logic (?) behind aurm is shown to csm...

outcome will be they will promise on not selling nonvanity items, but keep on the rest cosmetic, monoclolz etc..

oh which is fine with me btw..

I would be really surprised if they can not change their minds about pushing nonvanity items to market after this csm.

i mean..its dayn night..

lets see.

I agree, they'll say that. For now. Once Dust hits, all bets are off.

"Most importantly we'll listen to what the EVE players want most as the new step and prioritize our very long wish list of designs accordingly."

- CCP Chiliad, (http://www.starfleetcomms.com/content/eve_hungary_interview_ccp_chiliad_captains_quarters_and_npe)
epic lulz from that one...

This interview also confirms that they are steering the game more into a type of barbie/ken 3rd person spacepilot rpgmmo instead of a hardcore spaceship mmo, I mean, cutscenes?? Seriously? It's already bad enough as it is having to whait for a while before station loads...

All that really says is 'we are talking about how CCP came to their prices.' I don't see how that implies the NeX is there to stay (though it probably is).

What that really says is that CCP is dodging the big yellow question again!

That whole meeting is nothing but dodging the question.

Only, they'll have a meat shield now - the CSM.

We're suppose to grill the CSM for answers next.

Let's see what'll happen, I'll give them benefit of the doubt, it's not like I didn't voted Mittani for CSM specifically to troll CCP.

It's such a shame that the Meta Game ABOUT EVE Online is currently so much more entertaining than its content - I'm loving it.

For instance, I'd never have expected THAT many trolling monocle sales, honest, I don't think I've seen a single genuine wearer yet - they're all trolls. How awesome is that?

Twas the hour of meeting, and all through the thread,
not a creature was stirring, not even a dred.
The noobs were all hung, by their innards with care,
in hopes that GMs, would soon be there.

The pirates were nestled, all clustered by drones,
as they sat upon piles of dead foes' bones,
Some chick pod pilot flew by in her cap,
while I settled down for a no CQ nap.

When out of the station there rose such a clang,
I shouted out, "hey who's flyin this thang?"
Away to my ship, I lagged down the hall,
trying to get to my pod pilot ball.

I tried to undock, but my ship didn't work,
damn this siht is gonna drive me berserk!
so instead I jumped and got out of there,
fracking cq, it messed up my hair!

So we wait on the question, the yellow one there,
they can't answer, does it give them a scare?
We'll wait some more and give it a day,
and watch what they do and not what they say.

Having paid for my subscription with PLEX for the last year or so (paid up until January 2012 I think), I went to "unsubscribe" anyway and there isn't actually any ability to do this in the new account management screen.

Just something folk (especially CCP) should consider when they look at the figures. Lots of people will also be leaving their PLEX paid accounts to expire (because we can't unsub).

They should also be looking how many accounts have expired creditcard info which hasn't been updated. One account has gone dormant, 3 more to go.

Does it seriously take an entire day to discuss non vanity items? No. **** no. The MT business model is used by games without a sub fee. Why would anyone pay a sub fee for a game that also requires MT to remain competitive?

I get the impression that they want to give you the option to not auto-disembark from Incarna the moment you dock.

So that when you dock and you choose to actually "Walk" we'll get a cutscene for the transition. As long as it's a quick cut-scene, it should be just fine. But, what I'd like to see is getting away from the "Docking=Walking" concept.

CSM is just a joke. What had you expected? They are more busy playing important while CCP gets to say everything.

CSM basicly consist of the biggest attention*****s in EvE.

Attention *****s don't generally go along to get along since that tends to minimize the attention paid to them.

I'm pretty sure CCP has a range of options they are willing to negotiate within. They will have their preferred scenario as well as the least preferred that is still acceptable to them from a business perspective.

Unfortunately the CSM are at a disadvantage in that CCP has all the data and can present it in a selective manner so we're hoping that the CSM are people who can read between the lines and see what data is missing from what is shown. Unfortunately I'm not sure on the backgrounds of any of the CSM so I have no idea whether or not any of them have the kind of data analysis background to see that.

I do get the feeling at least in the case of Seleene and Mittens that they are not the types of people to sit meekly through a bull**** session. So there is a decent chance that they'll be able to fight CCP back to the least preferred but acceptable alternative.

Sadly even if we achieve some level of victory today it'll just be a temporary reprieve until they try to push it through again.
