Well I already have 42 PLEX; thats money in the bank for CCP already, may aswell screw their NEX stats and buy monocles :)

That will help put the nail in the coffin, or I could wait for GOLDEN AMMO, then buy 20 billion worth of it :)

Oh and if they ask what NEX items we want, oh yeah, I want lots of game changing stuffz :)

May aswell send them on a wild goose chase.

Hi Argus. (Please come back to Nulli. Guderian has delusions of grandeur and is styling himself to be crowned king of all that he can see and I don't know how to talk him down.)

I'd like to reflect a little bit on your points.

First off I think it's not just anger over the internal memo. This is a perfect storm of faeces. Some people are angry at what was stated in the newsletter, some are angry about to overpriced MT items, some are worried about it being a step in a direction they don't want to see, some are angry at the communication policy, some are concerned about neglect of spaceship content, some are simply angry. Dispelling it by looking at the detail, while a perfectly valid tactic, usually won't work because these kinds of upsets rarely if ever happens in a vacuum.

Now I agree that CCP have no obligation to make their internal discussions public. There are however many things that private companies are under no formal obligation to do but which they do anyway. This is particularly important for companies that aspire to have a relationship with their customers that go beyond a financial transaction. Now one may feel that my dollar should buy me X amount of product and that's that. But for better or for worse customers expect more. I believe it is for the better, and I'm in communications myself - I know it's not fun to be caught up in that ****.

It has also been pointed out, I believe by CSM representatives, that the print version of Fearless is laying about the offices for any visitor to read. If this is true I wouldn't go so far as to call it internal.

As for the supposed company wide Hilmar-mail I don't agree with you that customer upset should be aimed at the hypothetical whistle blower. The reason is that I think it's a symptom of an internal disease that these things leak out in the first place. A leak tells me that employee X is so frustrated with the direction of the company and the way in which this direction is being implemented that they have no other option left but risk their jobs to try to change it. Employees that feel that their opinion has been duly noted and respectfully considered don't leak stuff. Not even if their opinion is completely opposed to what is being done.

The issue here, I feel, is that CCP have consistently miscommunicated with their customers. It seems to me as if they are trying to rebrand themselves as some kind of premium experience providers, when most of their customers are worried about unbalanced game content and would like to see a supercarrier fix or missile turrets rather than avatar customization as a means of self-expression. If they want us to understand how their design process works, if they ask two people to argue points they don't necessarily agree wih as thought experiments, then all they would have needed to do is show us how it's done. A devblog saying "this is how we make the game" and that would have been that.

I might concede that too much openness can paralyze a company, maybe not in the way you would agree though, but CCP is nowhere near that limit. And saying that CCP is better at this than their competition may be technically true, but that speaks more to the state of affairs in the game development business. And in any case, I don't give much of a **** about those other companies. I do not frequent their establishments, as it were.

Guess no one in CCP considers this important enough to do call in a meeting during the free weekends.

I mean, they (think) they deserved this free weekend after a successful and issue poor expansion day.

I don't think it is all that hard to defeat them. But you are not going to do it here. Or, by canceling the subs.

The way to do it, it has to be inside the game.

I guess it would take discipline, and solidarity (but this should not be a problem, since you are all clamoring that you were never this united before). Something like what the Greeks did, cease all hostilities and focus on the Persian threat.

Contracts? Perhaps a new currency in the game. Not isk, not plex, not aurum ... make those worthless. Have your own, some kind of Greenback. I am not an economist, but it cannot be that hard to figure it out.

Don't shoot the freakin statues, shoot/shun the Jovians.

Emergent gameplay? Sandbox? What are you waiting for, Hilmar to come and give you permission, sell you a licence?

Inject them all so they are no longer in the market and can't be used in the aurum store. Maybe get banned as well with the account they were injected on to show they are wasted. Refuse to give anything to what they expect to be their new cash crop.

At first I honestly thought that we didn't get a reply because everyone at CCP was in emergency meetings to fix the situation.

By now it is my firm belief that the non-information is official CCP policy. "Let them rant on the forums for a couple of days, than start posting half-arsed statements mixing truth and lies as usual, but we won't change a thing about our plans. So what if 10.000 hardcore fans leave our game, the new players coming to Eve with Incarna/Ambulation will easily make up for the loss. And those new guys will love to buy items for Aurum to give them advantages."

Parley - a discussion or conference, especially one between enemies over terms of a truce or other matters.

So where is it then, more than 24 hours of silence does not equal Parley. I'm sure they are sitting somewhere wondering why more people are protesting, but if they can't follow through on this offer, what do you expect?

Down side of that is all the stockpiled PLEX get taken out of the game and thus new playuers have to spend more money.. which is win for CCP, BUT players will get sick of it as it costs them an arm and a leg over time. They quit, but its a revolving door mugging business now.

Probably the best is to let them sit on the market at maximum time for 90 days at DOUBLE THE PRICE. screw the plex market

Well either way its pretty hard to do anthing with em that goes against CCP, unless we just let em sit in hangers. as financial liabilities.

As someone who already plays not full year and has subbed 3 chars. Had 1 char subbed for year so that won't go inactive till mid next year, was on the brick to sub my second for a year, but thanks to my laziness did not do it before incarna and third is supported by plex. Now I had a great future planned with 3 or more accounts, but after seeing what is happening I doubt I want to invest in a company with no respect to it's customers. I feel extremely sad I did not play this game 8 years ago. TOo bad I missed the train. Maybe perpetuum online train is just beginning?

As someone who is working in a CSR of a fairly large comapny, let me tell you, that customers after such "care" would have escalated and phoned directly to the head director fur such lack of service and bull****.

P.S. I read there has been an email leaked. Can someone give me a link pls?

This is actually what I originally though Aurum was for. Creating a PLEX sink to soak up some of their liability. Their economist said there was too much PLEX out there.

They're giving every appearance that that first impression of mine was wrong.

I disagree. Complete, total surrender on EVERYTHING everyone is ****ed about atm combined with an absolute grovelling apology will fix stuff, no harm done. Also, fully disclosing all upcoming features and actually giving a damn about what the community says about it.

It might not make you as much money in the long run, but it will buy your souls back.

Once your bankers (investors) tell you to make more revenue, you have to make more renenue, that means the investors are questioning the current state of affairs, that has been stated ages ago by employees, Eve does NOT GENERATE ENOUGH REVENUE. Mt's are here to stay and WILL be EXPANDED on, plan is in place, plan is being executed on. Stamp your feet all you want.

Good luck changing the investors minds.
