It is clear that people are angry about the changes, and yes I can understand the anger. The point remains however that you do not have to use the nex, hek its not eve(n't) important!

The link to AUR and PLEX to me is strange, and to an extend ridiculous. IF people are actually prepared to spend either 30 euro/dollars on plex for clothes, then fair play to them, they clearly have more dosh than me, more likley however is people will use isk for the plex to convert. Do you really think a pixle shirt is worth 370million isk or £15 of RL money? heck i could get a shirt of the eve online website for that much.

I think many of the community feel betrayed as before this, plex had been simply another way of paying. WIth the introduction of the AUR it seems that CCP has focused on trying to get more people to buy plex, for something that does VERY little to ameliorate the game experience.

I dont agree with all the hate CCP has been getting generally, but please consider your positions on the issues and respond soon.

Best Regards

I have over 200 million SP to my name on all of my accounts.. (And this is not an alt, unlike most I'm willing to HTFU.) And I plan on un-subing soon unless CCP fixes this.

I would rather donate my money for accounts every month to the new effort that is in the works to replace you than support this blatant disrespect of your customers.

Pann,

May I suggest that if you are attempting to salvage this situation, you had better take the keyboard away for Zulu. He's making your job much, much more difficult.

Attempted to log in today in Jita but was forced to select another system. Chose Sobaseki. Immediately into the local chatter of telling people Jita is closed certain people are closing systems in "protest" of CCP implementing changes. I jump into the convo telling people to chill out and let people play the freaking game take the issue up another route. I undock into horrible lag with over 200+ people around station and am podded. I'm told in local the reason I was podded was because I "wouldn't get with the revolution." Now I understand the issues at hand. I've been playing since launch on one toon or another. But targeting people BECAUSE they don't jump up and agree with your attempt at taking over something they pay for makes you much worse than any issue you have with CCP. I've seen other great games die because the companies that make them make horrible decisions like the ones listed in the "leaked memo." But I pay CCP to play this game and not some other player. And I should be able to play it and not be held in station by INTENTIONAL lag and griefing simply because I don't "get with the revolution." I agree with the issues people are bringing up. But the jackasses who pull stunts like was pulled on me should be banned. I have billions in isk and gear across my accts. The coin is not the point. Shoot me cause you don't like what I did in game. But shooting me cause I don't agree with your taking away the game from other people who pay for it is total bullsh*t.

This whole thing can be helped greatly by CCP posting the to the following effect:

1. Confirmation that MT will be limited to vanity items only
2. We can have the old hangar back but this time with a "disembark" button next to the undock button so getting out of your ship is optional if you wanna walk around in your CQ

No, we like to know the way our producers really think in their twisted mind-set of comparing $1000 pair of jeans to the "vanity" items of RMT. Especially when the MEDIA wants to sit down and mock them to their face about how absurd and out of touch such a "vanity" item is.

Really, let them keep going, and then wonder why we're angry and asking for blood. Did people get so full of themselves that they think this is alright? Is this what CCP is from every employee? How many CCP employees really think that asking for that much for a GAME ITEM is in any way sensible?

On top of it, pretending to justfiy that the prices are to help develop further clothes for EVE while clearly claiming EVE is the "golden goose" for which development of the other games is contingent on.

I think we have gone past that stage of our chief complaints.
The issue now is CCP's disregard and arrogance and attitude towards us.

For me its "Unsubbed Training" aka "Ghost-Training" all over again.
I say this again.

Its the same "double-think" and propaganda approach to communication that they employed back then,
with a balant lack of respect for their customers.

Just today they are no fanboys left to defend them and
enough of us that simply had enough of this unacceptable attitude by CCP.

CCP Zulu's devbolg is an insult to the EVE community. No, scratch that, it is an insult for anybody capable of conscious thought. Are you people really that out of touch with your player base.

We will gradually introduce items at other price points, definitely lower and probably higher than what‘s in the store today. We hope you enjoy them and are as passionate about them as you are of the current items that are for sale.

IT IS NOT ABOUT THE FRACKING MONOCLE, CAN'T YOU READ?!

We THE PEOPLE demand:

1. MT containing vanity items ONLY. That is the most important issue and the one that causes most rage. We want you to tell us that you will NOT sell standings, skills, ammo, or uber ships via NEX store. Don't lie to us. Don't tell us that what Soundwave wrote in your internal newsletter is just his "personal opinion" and it doesn't matter, It's an opinion of a lead game designer and we want CCP to ASSURE US THAT THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN.

2. CQ to be an option to enter from the old hangar view
a) because we aren't ALL here to play barbies in stations.
b) because implementation sux technically (fried PCs, more load on some PCs than full-maxed Crisis 2, just read the forums)
c) don't tell us it's our fault and lousy gear that you cannot code a 5by5 dark room which does not take 100% of gpu power on a modern machine.
d) image of a door is not an acceptable option, just put old hangar view back in.

3. Assurance, that you WILL NOT introduce in-game obstacles just to sell us the option to remove them, like you did with saving of ship fittings (move them to server, put limit of 50 fittings in place, get paid for increasing the limit? cunning).
a) remove the one obstacle already introduced, give us option to keep unlimited number of fittings locally like it was before.

Meet above demands, and the playerbase will cool down.
Don't act stupid and pretend that we rage about the price of monocle. That is the matter you want to explain to the media and the gaming industry, which are all laughing at you.
We will simply not buy it.

If you don't plan to comply to the above, tell us now, so we can stop investing our time and money in your service.

TL;DR:
1. No to selling advantages.
2. Ship spinning back.
3. No to introducing obstacles to sell option to remove them.

Someone earlier provided links to several of CCP's investors and I thought it was a good oppurtunity to try and "spread the word" and gather support for saving Eve Online. So I have contacted General Catalyst, an investment company that states on its website: "The companies we support operate in more than a dozen countries, in diverse sectors, and share a bias for bold ideas against a backdrop of large markets. We are always looking to add outstanding companies to this list." (My emphashis in bold).

Here is the letter I've sent them. I hope it is appropriate. Any follow-up support to General Catalyst would, I'm sure, be helpful.

Maybe large chunks of nullsec being roped off for people to run macro's and then sell the massive profits on the black market have only encouraged CCp. After all the more people running 8 acc's and paying for em with plex has only driven the price of plex up, making the the Plex a better buy for the people who do actually pay the $$$ in RL for them.
This kind of behaviour by players hasn't been stamped out by CCP, rather its been an inspiration for them.

An important paragraph from glassdoor

"Several years now CCP has predicated insane subscriber goals that cannot be met. Naturally this is met with scepticism by the employees but it falls on deaf ears. The result is that the company is suffering because we cannot sustain the development of EVE, DUST and WOD. EVE is not creating enough revenue which means that solutions are sought, solutions that CCP was vehemently against a few years ago."

This completely explains WHY the company is SO desparate to bring in MT and impliment game changing mechanics through the 'pay to win' button. They've just made a greedy grab for as much money as they can to resolve the problems they're having sustaining such a high turnover of development. The problem is that they wont answer the question on everyone's mind because they KNOW the utter crapstorm it will bring and loose them further revenue.

CCP may or may not be ruining EVE but this bad publicity and their game being pulled through the mud is almost definitely going to ruin them.

So, much as I appreciate your post Pann, you, as a business, need to get your PR sorted out. This looks awful all over the internet. Current MMOers and prospective MMOers are seeing this...

Zulu's blog is a total joke. It's loaded with attitude and doesn't answer the questions which we all know you have read. You'd be better off saying nothing at all than trying to gloss things over. It makes you look stubborn or inept...neither is a quality I tend to invest hard earned money in...
