CCP...an apology will not do im afraid. You need to take action and not just the NEX prices. You just spend I dont know how many months, years to come up with this Incarna as a ploy to basically treat players as cash cows. Instead focusing on game quality, and replay value you chose to do this?!!

NO CCP, Apology will not do. Fix it and whoever has been pushing for this, fire him/her.

We, the players are CCP's life line and we why you have a job. We can go on without CCP just fine, you will not without us.

Make the game for the players not for CCP revenue. The revenue will come if you have more and more players. This should be your golden rule.

Yea, CCP is way beyond fixing this with apologies or :words: at this point. They got themselves into this position with greed driving them to place the cart before the horse.

There are going to have to be massive actions taken aimed at helping their core game.

Lol I just got round to reading this joke of a post. I dont even know where to start? EvE used to be a amazing game. Still is in some respects. The community is amazing and diverse and full of trolls and I love them all as much as the next guy! But the game itself is now sub par. CQ is a poor poor "expansion". The NEX store should be burnt to the ground and rolled back and sent to a dark cellar where no one will remember it. Im sure many people in this thread will quite happily hand you lighter in which to start the fire with. Among many many other things I cba to reiterate if your incapable of reading the nearly 200 page "CCP being spanked by the customer" thread that is going on here. But basically apology not accepted. Go home we want someone with answers not a "I cant answer your questions" post.

P.S: Clarify this leaked PDF?

Good. To quote Thomas Jefferson: "When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny."

Jefferson never said that. Neither did Thomas Paine, Madison, or Jay. It's a completely spurious citation. Not surprising, since it's also completely irrelevant. How can you not understand that you paid money to play a game in a universe totally controlled by a business?

Regardless of the source, or authenticity of the quote, it has value of its own. Clearly CCP is not a government, but the sentiment holds true. CCP is a business, we are their customers. No Customers, No Business.

Though perhaps not an entirely applicable quote, the sentiment is very germane.

Although it's beside the point, the most likely source of this quotation appears to be a series of debates on socialism published in 1914, in which John Basil Barnhill said, "Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty

The "whining" as some call it, is necessary. Without it, CCP looks at us and says "Oh, well they don't seem to upset about the MT ideas. Lets keep pushing it a little farther."

This **** needs to stop before it even begins. I don't want another SWG on my hands. I want EVE to stay. I love EVE, I don't want to leave it.

As a 5 year player of this game and an avid die hard, I am disgusted with the actions of ccp over the last week.
First of all Microtransactions go against EVERYTHING EVE stands for, taking away the sandbox aspects of this game will kill it as assuredly as yoko killed the beatles.
Second, I do not believe for a second that you actually put people like PL, Darkside, Hydra and Outbreak into the 50% chance of gaining entrance into the tournament like you did with so many others.
Your inaction over the blatant disregard for the spirit of the alliance tournament is appalling. I have already cancelled my three accounts and I urge everyone to do the same until CCP does a better job of damage control and begins acting for the player

Vive la revolution!

This was most troubling to read. I want to believe in the awesome that CCP advertises, but this makes me worry about how much of it is just a facade. You got me really excited about DUST at E3, and I even bought a PS3. I want it to succeed, since maybe then EVE won't bare the financial weight of supporting 2 unreleased projects. Carbon is another thing that sounds awesome, but now I'm worried it's just an excuse to develop for 3 games all at once which ends up diluting EVE. From that link, it sounds like you need to deal with internal management and communication. EVE is a great game that I want to be "forever", but if you make poor choices and the passionate players that make the game amazing leave, expect a rapid fail cascade until there isn't an EVE anymore. I don't want to see this happen. Remember, your a game company, but right now your only "real" product is EVE. Without EVE, there is no CCP.

...+1 ... that has me very concerned as well. maybe they should shelve WoD for now, if eve can't support all 3. their corporate culture is something they will have to want to change ofc.... hopefully today will show them they need to. if Eve had a cash flow problem before.... how much worse will it be now with so many people unsubbing? but yes, I agree 100% .. that link to eve employees rating their own company is rather poignant

I know it's harsh, but I figured out a Princess Diana analogy in regards to CCP. She also liked walking through minefields and donating to charity, before getting involved with someone she shouldn't have. She died, precedent set.

Wow, the white-knights are still here talking about maturity. /o\

Forgive us that we actually have a vocal opinion about the direction of the game we've played for eight years. I know you knights might be stoic enough to simply bend over and allow services to be applied, but most of us would rather keep the game we enjoy rather than see it go without a fight.

Yea, the white-knights are also ignoring that the key points of contention have been laid out already, and that people are simply putting a MASSIVE exclamation point behind it.

This dev blog better say some damn nice things. Because if it doesn't? CCP just ****ed away mountains of loyal players, myself included.

In other news... 200 pages before this dev blog. Over half a million views on this thread, for a game with a bit over 300k active accounts.
