To be honest, the title of your blog could've been modified a bit in terms of the public relations part.

Nice dev blog... would be ecstatic if not for the total lack of dev blogs on certain other topics related to this expansion...

BTW about that AOE drone dmg, To add to the sleeper, Sansha, and in PVP Player drone targeting.... How much do you hate the Gallente?

Could we please have something to fix the results of countless nerf bats against our once proud ships and drones?
Possibilities include;

Giving Gallente back extra drone bandwidth...

Massive dronebay expansions for spares (for gallente) now you have bandwidth to independently control number and size...

The ability to almost instantly lock your own drones up, allowing for practical remote repping your drones (possibly allow for this to be separate from usual target locks, possibly? or alternatively simply allow mods to be applied to your own drones without locking via the drone window, so in effect your own drones are always perma-locked via your control link without reducing your hostile locking capability)...

Allowing drones to have (very low) self armour/shield rep rates, both in space and/or in hanger (hull reps with nanite paste?)

Also some rebalancing of gallente ships and weapons so we don't have point-blank range weapons on really slow unmanuverable ships....

Otherwise, all good news, well written and entertaining blog....
But completely overshadowed by the train wreck of CQ and MT...
Also this is the kind of stuff you post before a patch to tell people what is coming and get them excited about it... not 2 days after.

Also in the current climate I would want the response to the PR disaster of Incarna to be dealt with before trying to talk about anything else...
It looks like your just trying to ignore us otherwise.
So, overall, good blog... bad timing.

EDIT:

Hello all,

We understand that right now, many of you have a number of concerns and issues with the current state of EVE Online, we ask that you not derail threads with these posts. We are asking all of you who have comments and issues regarding the newsletter to post in this thread, and those of you with comments and issues regarding the Noble Exchange store prices to post here. This will help us keep track of what is being said by the community much more easily, while allowing other players to discuss other aspects of EVE Online in an on-topic environment.

Until you provide some proper responses I regard trying to talk about anything else is

A) going to annoy those who care about the issues you refer to, (and you missed of a link to a thread dealing with the removal of the old hanger view, which may be slightly drowned out by the MT posts but is still not going away) and make them think you are ignoring the issues.

and

B) annoy those who are interested in the other topics you want to talk about, because the conversation is drowned out by the annoyed people from group A...

Also for those that would count themselves in Groups A and B, who want the aforementioned issues to be sorted AND want to hear about other things your doing... Have trouble keeping up with what's going on cos your trying to do too many things at once.

So I again come back to, Nice Blog... Bad timing.

EDIT2: Also the title is misleading in the circs... you should alter it to something that doesn't make people think this is a response to the firestorm.

Also, the "ranged damage" event in sites now hurts drones as well. So if you've been relying on your swarm of little robot friends to complete sites at no risk to themselves: We fooled you! KABLAM!
Sure thing. Our deadspace sites can fire an event that damages a player. This is used in some scripted explosions, damage clouds, etc. Well, turns out there's been a bug in the system where only player ships were damaged. Player drones, however, were ignored by the event. So drones could just fly straight into the heart of a damage cloud, pop target, and fly out. This has been altered, so now the little drone buddies are affected just the same.

Not that this is only a change to a scripted event used in some deadspace and mission sites. Drones in the wider world have not been altered.

They are treated with the same magic math as player ships. Drones have simply been added to the Event's whitelist.

To be on topic (and because it looks like he's the only one that is willing to communicate with players)... a question for CCP BDO:

In a mission Recon (3 of 3) there once was a green gas cloud environment. After Carbon UI patch it disappeared, but the damage was properly applied anyway. Was this covered/fixed by these changes?

So, drones will all instapop at the end of Damsel in Distress if they are left out?

Also, why are ICE mining lasers making the same noise of the roids lasers now?

You, sir, are a tard... You GOT the "Bare Facts" in the Change log (You DID read that, RIGHT?)
This was a very well written, light hearted attempt to provide some background... to kinda "flesh out" the changes.
Please, return to sitting in the corner and mumbling "they broke it, they broke it..." Someone will be along presently to take you back to your cage.

I have 1 more little question about Drones...
You are NOT saying that ships shooting at Me will damage the drones, right? Gathering Aggro is STILL the way to go, correct?

NPC targeting has not been changed. Damage directed at the player's ship only will only hurt the ship.

Is the magic math related to the magic programming that produced meltdown in CQ, or is it perhaps related to the magic decision to make all but the high end hardware obsolete?

Fair enough, but let's be honest, the amount of flogging CCP has been getting from the gaming press is getting out of hand, and the disdain and frustration in regards to the problem.

I know how you guys behave - you like to let things blow over, then try to smother the remaining dissent with a glut of devblog posts.

I'm not going to just sit back and wait two months for an official word - I want an accounting of what the hell happened with the Noble Exchange. This firestorm is absurd.

OnTopic: Glad to hear that the good bugfixes and content expansion tweaks have been implemented.
