I love playing Gallente. I know they're "low tier" as far as most ships go but I'm stubborn. Plus, CCP will buff them anyway. Eventually.

At any rate, this is my plan of action:

Finish Core Skills (1 month)-Mechanics 5, Hull Upgrades 5, Engineering 5, etc. should all be finished training in 1 month
Run Level IV missions with my Dominix
Train toward Assault Frigate, get all T2 frigate skills to at least 3 (1~ month)-Okay, so none of the Gallente T2 frigates are especially noteworthy (besides the pirate faction ones, which I'll get at some point) but I'm thinking I should have the ability to fly these "cheap" ships so I can save my investment for ramping up my income. I know that the Kitsune is the only worth-while EWAR ship but the Gallente one looks like the second best one, so why not? I also love the T2 Atron.
Train toward Heavy Assault (2~ months) - The Gallente heavy assaults look like decent PVE or PVP ships. I assume I can do level V missions in them? Or just up to IV?
Train toward Onieros (1~ month) - I hear this is what's needed on incursions. Sounds great to me and it fits in well with heavy assault training.

And then from there, I suppose it would depend on where things go with my corp, how much money I have available, etc. but I would consider raising my skills to the point where I can comfortably pilot a Thanatos - which is probably a year's worth of training.

How does this sound as a basic layout? Basically, I want to have access to all the fundamentally useful ships in a relatively short amount of time. I currently have very little skill points in gunnery, navigation and missiles, so I'm sacrificing those skills to buff engineering/mechanical/spaceship command/electronics. I'll be relying almost exclusively on drones for damage output (and small hybrids for the frigates). Don't really need to train drones for a while since I have everything close to maxed.

Owning a 100% Pure Gallente character I offer the following advice.

Ishtar is a great ship for anoms and DED plexes where you can kite and chill while your drones kill stuff. Ishtar is not great for level 4 missions simply as the Domi does it better. <-- Plenty of existing threads discussing this around.

Oneiros is a good ship for PvE although a Guardian will mostly be prefered simply for its rep+cap abilities.

Electronic attack frigs are not very good for any race. I would not train them until you hit the point you have no idea what to train anymore.

Ishkur is an excellent ship. Probably the best AF there is. Problem is if you are wanting it to PvP then you would nearly always be better off in an interceptor. Train Inties :)

TL;DR - If you wanna make money and have some occasional PvP then ignore AF and HAC's for now. Get good BS skills for missions and train Inties and Recons for PvP. Oneiros always nice to have.

On a side note. You seem like a young char, so it's maybe nice to note, that it's is generally considered a fact that while the Logi IV O'neiros can provide repping you really need the skill at lvl V if you are to produce the consistent repping amount which is expected in a fleet. Thus people often fly Guardians because their cap transfers, among other things, can compensate for the lack of logi V.
