Ok, so the average price of a 30-day PLEX is 400,000,000 million isk and rising sharply.
PLEX is also purchasable for real-life currency at the average cost of a 30-day subscription. So around $15 USD.
It costs around 3,400-3,600 AUR for a military shirt on the Noble Market.
The exchange rate for PLEX to AUR is 3,500 for one PLEX.
So you are essentially telling us to shell out money equivalent to the vale of a pair of ****ing Levi's, for clothing on our avatars which happen to be PIXELS.
I would prefer to be spending that $15-$30 on food, actual clothes that I can wear, etc. Not on a single Men's 'Sterling' Dress Shirt (Olive) that costs essentially the same price as a pair of khaki pants.
**** you, CCP.
Fix this bull****, if you want your Noble Market to be successful to any extent with the "demographic" that you're so desperately trying to appeal to. The roleplayers and the casuals, to be accurate.
My suggestion? Make it so that it costs about $0.50 for a pair of boots, and $1.50 for a shirt. Do the math.
$15 for a single shirt when I could be using that to pay my EVE subscription, is just STUPID. |

Do you have any other ways of acquiring these clothing items at a reasonable price? Does CCP have any plans on making these things craftable? WELL? HUH? HUH? HUH? I don't like this. |

Nope. Its "your hobby" and they will ride that rationale to keep the prices as high as they'd like. Expect prices to only go up. Originally by: Vin Hellsing Does CCP have any plans on making these things craftable?
Of course not. NPC seeding is just so much easier to do and they already say "traded and controlled by player demand on the market already" |

Jesus, and here I thought this game had the potential to finally rival that of Star Wars Galaxies as a sandbox MMORPG.
I thought wrong.
Way to go, CCP. You just missed out on the segment of the market who wanted to enjoy an in-depth avatar experience without having to blow oodles of real life cash on bull****. |

Hey, that's a great idea! They could create a whole new set of skills - Tailoring, Dressmaking, Hatting, Shoemaking and so on. Then they could release blueprints for sewing machines, shoe lasts and so on, said equipment able to be fitted only to special industrial ships which would make the clothing and fashion accesories and travel about from station to station putting on fashion shows. |

Voice your dissaproval by not buying anything, I never planned on getting any AUR crap and the prices just cemented my stance on it.
It just seems strange how people complained that it was being introduced in the first place, then they complain that it costs too much. Being negative on the effect it's having on the price of PLEX however is quite justified, but I doubt it's anything more that opportunist traders. Prices are bound to rise but people will always try to take the ****. |

Well, I had every intention of buying some of these vanity items.
But 12,000 AUR for a looking glass implant. That's $68 ... holy crap. |

They're trying to hit the same market WoW has catered to the past 2 years. Remember how many people bought the €25 mount? |

I found this topic whilst trying to find the exchange rate between AUR and Plexes, not realizing I could do it easily in game.
In doing so, I discovered how friggin' expensive it'd be for me to get any of the VERY few items on the Noble's Exchange. I really, really wanted to defend CCP on this one... But COME ON, CCP. I do not want to pay 20 real dollars merely to put some frikkin' semi-custom (not really) graphics on my character. Bring the Noble's Exchange prices down so it's a real micro transaction, otherwise you're just using the word wrong. A plex should get us a COUPLE of items, not one. Setting several of the things prices to 3600?? Insulting, really. |

I fully support the original post.
I had a look what was on the exchange and thought a couple of the items looked pretty nice, so decided to buy them. I baught my PLEX, which is $19.99 for 1 PLEX (thinking the conversion would allow me to buy pretty much everything on there) and re-entered the game only to just then find out the ludicrous exchange rate that meant all I could actually get for $19.99 real money was one pixelated item. I didn't bother converting my PLEX and just left it in the hangar.
I quit the game right after that.
If this is the trend they are going to run with I highly suggest they think about making EVE a free to play game, like all the others with ludicrously priced micro transaction shops. |
