Give us back drag ship to hangar to activate.

I second this very strongly. I don't want to right click, select make active. I don't want to use whatever crazy hologram thingy to activate ship. I want to look at it, click it, drag it to space. Ship hanger...drag...active.

If you actually had players NOT doing this before, it is sad and should have been in the new player training. Taking it away now just adds useless pain to ship changes.

I always used the right click menu. Had no idea you could drag... Though honestly, if I had known, I still would've right clicked, because dragging things is slow.

Which is a lie. My $600 PC from two years ago, with a $100 graphics card I put in last year. ($700 is far from a "higher end gaming rig", most basic computers cost more than that), runs fine with most settings on high, and the Incarna characters render as well as they do in my avatar.

EDIT: Just read your link. Yeah, you have a better graphics card than me (460 instead of my 450), but I found your problem, you bought an AMD processor.

DON'T BUY AMDs FOLKS, THEY RUN HOT. (I've known this for around six years, buy Intel, or plan on buying a new machine every year.)

I recently restarted and was enjoying the game.
Since Incarna, I crash everytime I leave station.
I'll give them 2 week, then I'm gone for good. that's more than fair

1. open any link (http:// ) in chat window my client crashes
2. open fleet help my client crashes
3. open combat logs-> kills/losses nothing happens. I just can't open any of them.

CCP = Idea

Incarna = Question

Players = Evil or Very Mad

CCP = Embarassed

Me = Shocked

There's a lot of major issues listed in this thread that are very important. They should be fixed asap. I'm talking about the lag, the strain being put on Vid cards and most importantly, players not being able to access the game at all.

Anyway, there is one issue that I have that is so small and trivial when compared to the many other major issues listed in this thread but it is still an issue nonetheless.

CCP, could I please get an answer to this?

If you're using any kind of anti-virus software that monitors your web activities, try disabling it. There may be problems with it. CCP is aware of this and trying to figure out how to get around the issue.

AMD or Intel (I'm an Intel fanboy myself - 9 of the 11 machines in my household are Intel based) a game shouldn't drive his kind of hardware that hard. AMD does run hard till it burns itself out, but, previous to this release, there was no issue with over heating.

This needs to be looked at.

A lie? Really? Are you that ignorant? Perhaps poor coding and compatibility issues (both CCP problems) are causing the game to run smooth for your mid level rig but destroy a high end one. Whether or not AMD processors run slightly hotter than intel or not is really irrelevant. The game should not be pushing a high end rig, whether it be AMD or Intel to the levels it is. This speaks to serious issues with the patch on CCPs end.

That's great that you have no issues. However serious temperature issues on many rigs are becoming well documented on these forums. You cannot dismiss them as lies because your experience is different. Different systems respond to software differently. It the job of GOOD programming to get the gaming experience to be more uniform. Right now, it's not and that is a serious issue.

Client: PC
When HDR is enabled on video settings, graphics get all messed up when in space. I can't see a thing other than the ship's "gauges" and overview, though they are all blurred.
I have both the latest versions of directx and graphics drivers. My vga is an ATI Radeon 4850.

....WTF?

client: xp pro sp3

ccp inadvertantly (i hope) trying to overload my CPU's MEMORY AND GRAPHICS CARD???

i had to cancel cq when I saw my PC (intel for all you amdk haters out there) just want to over heat and then lock up.. crash and burn.. massive BLACK SCREEN FLICKERING and it gets worse the longing you exit EVE.eve and don't shut down and restart..

seriously: dudes (and dudettes), this ain't cool.. we tested multiple computers cross and no matter whether how "new" or "older" the system is, the rate of frames per second and the GRAPHICS CARD OVERHEATING is parallel to both our systems.. and that really is pooor form..

i won't go into it more since there is a thread to it... but what the goram hell were you (CCP) thinking????

i joined and now I'm wondering what i got myself into.. a potential death to my own computer as well as my friend's.. reaching CPU and 63+ Celcius temp of my own graphics activity ..

AND THAT'S WITH CAPTAIN'S QUARTERS TURNED OFF AND THE LOWEST SETTING.. i can hear the lawsuits prepping now with destruction of systems for logging in and never even "basking" in the "glory" of captains quarters..

that is sad to me, and i've been with EVE just over a year..

this may be the pinnacle of sadness for upgrades..

why did i join at my friend's request? because it was fun, with all its bugs last year, but now, i can't see anything..

and i have to have a thermometer to watch what happens to my cpu and video card.. and i fear the worst for ccp destroying (inadvertantly) other peoples' gear..

TOS won't help you on international legalities when you promise/cite and release something that exceeds BEYOND the CPU/GPU/vid card temps and cpu's memory consumption..

good luck, but i suffer the same problem with memory and computer/graphics card overdriving without asking for it..

FIX IT or REVERT..

client: win xp pro edition sp3 plus 4G ram, intel p4+ system...... sigh..

experiencing multiple heavy FPS rate drops and lag when;

A)docking
B)Undocking
C)warping
D)firing guns
E)Sitting in station while the screen says "loading" for 30-60 minutes
F)When Something new appears on screen/overveiw (ships/stargates/warp bubbles/interdiction spheres/stations/npc's etc)

ships appear to still be taking damage 5-10 seconds after entering warp at which point they then explode and my pod continues its journey to the designated warp to point....

i dont mind the small losses like assault frigates/covops etc... they come naturally, but when you loose 300m worth of heavy interdictor because you cant even select something to warp to it gets quite annoying :(

Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00GHz (2CPUs)
Memory: 2046MB RAM
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8500GT (1024 MB)

Edit: i used to have another 2046MB of RAM and a GeForce GTX 460 but they burnt out about a week ago... ever since incursion landed Ive had issues with the eve client running my CPU and memory into an early grave and my computer has had to regularly force an imediate shutdown to stop itself spontaneously combusting while playing eve :(

NPC radio chatter never stops. If NPC spawn you can fly away, kill them all, fly to the sun or a safe spot, but until you dock the NPC radio chatter sound is endless.

Overview has artifacting issues when adding or removing objects from display (example: Removing large collidable objects' causes some double texting. A similar thing can be seen in chat is a lot of people enter or exit local suddenly.

BUG REPORT CCP:

Hi - I don't know how to submit a bug report so I was hoping you can do it for me.

Now that the turret models have changed - I think one (or more) was missed. The minmatar transport ship ( prowler) when you equip a Salvager - it does not show it correctly.

It shows it in space like feet away from the ship and not mounted to the hull.

ALSO...

I thought we could put in requests for custom stuff in the Aurum shop?? I.E. My own customs ship skin etc? Am I missing the button for it?

One more thought - like every one else said - Incarna is REALLY taxing my computer and I have a high end machine. Will the code be optimized or something? Cause Eve is now unplayable and I am thinking about not bothering.

Left some positive feedback on the feedback forum...love incarna by the way but here are a couple of things i noticed:

1. It probably has a lot to do with my system (2 year old MBP) but I get <5 fps when i enter station which eventually stabilizes to around 7.5 with graphics at medium (default). Not sure if this is a mac issue or an incarna issue and also not sure if anything can be done about it short of turning them to low.
2. Can't comment on the movement due to low fps but i did notice a slight glitch when my male character is sitting...namely that his hand appears to go through his black outer jacket when he rests his hand on his thigh.

That's all for now, will post if i find something else.

Client: PC XP Pro sp3

I have yet to leave the station because I'm finding that, as I monitor my computer itself, even with Captain's Quarters turned off, [insert deity name in vulgar usage]: wow, things are being drained from the CPU, GPU, Physical, Virtual, and paged memory just sitting in a station... I turned off the Captain's Quarters because, well, yeah, it's as fun as, well, playing with myself in a room with 3 video screens and a big ship looming nearby off a balcony.

So I turned off CQ and thought the CPU and GPU usage would be reduced along with temperature of my video card and CPU in general, but, surprisingly no, it remained hot... running between 65-79 C...with CPU usage averaging at least 50%+ ... and that's minimized in a hangar with NO Captain's Quarters.... Eventually, I find the program wants to lock up anyway, and so I quit the Client.

I restart it, and, if there was ever a memory leak visible since the 80's in simplistic BASIC, I saw noticed more memory being used, not "freed and then re-used" every time I re-opened/re-started the EVE client, raising CPU, GPU, RAM (Physical, Virtual and Pagefile) memory each time. Not quite exponentially, but definitely similar to the usage of Firefox 4.x: where, no matter what you do, the more you stay plugged in, the hotter and involved things get while growing in memory usage.

Sadly, my computer is not getting hotter over lap dances in station, but that led me to think: if it can't handle CQ, then what is the point and what will happen if other people interact in station with me? Avoiding the mere idea of my computer blowing up, for now it will remain CQ-disabled.

I am now among a number of people who are sadly limited, made a choice to kill CQ and now we have 70% of the versatility of the original hang usage.

Many bugs already and still haven't left the station... (can you blame me for my apprehension?)
AND I WILL MENTION AGAIN: ITEMS ARE NOT FULLY MOVING OVER TO NEW LOCATIONS... they just "vanish"...

I'm beginning to think the love of a newer Eve for me is a form of insanity...

(Someone can quote Julee Cruise on that one, slightly... but, still, it's just one line in a song... just like how this is nothing more than a small step in the direction of things to come...)

And now my CPU is over 60% and my graphics card is over 70-80+ degrees celcius...

I can't believe I have to log in, spend 10-20 minutes, log off and let it cool before I log in again - and if it gets that bad, I have to shut down and restart my entire system...? This was never an issue, especially with my setup being above the minimum.

Someone please tell me CCP is looking into this, and I hope no one has been ill-affected by overheated vid-cards, cpus or full systems. If so, this game's TOS won't hold up in any legal suits internationally considering the delivered content has at least overly exceeded the maximum runtime/user-side requirements by 50% insistently posted before it is ever installed.

Good luck folks. Good luck CCP.

Clean this mess up. I can't enjoy a game I pay for for only a small segment of time before worrying about destroying parts (or all of) my system... and apparently I'm not alone.

Trying to run Eve after the patch causes my computer to shut down with a BSoD, hard shutdown, including filesystem damage on the harddrive. I get the Incarna screen and once the game tries to switch to fullscreen, it flashes a few times between the desktop and a black screen then goes to a bluescreen (generic message, something about the system shutting down to prevent hardware damage) and shuts down about a second later. file system scan after restart ends up with the typical damages to files which were open at the time of the shutdown.

Windows Client, running on Windows XP Home Edition, SP 3

System:
Acer Aspire 9802
Intel Core Duo, 1.73GHz
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 PCI Express w/ 256MB VRAM
1 GB RAM

Will try to update all drivers once I'm back from work to try it once more.

I give up, sick of wasting my life/money/time trying to fix all your bull**** only to play a game that is getting progressively worse..

Why is it that each distribution that comes around I have more and more trouble patching/installing it?

Why don't you DevTeam guy managers just relax. . the game is great: you have loyal followers. Don't believe that making the game "better" is more important than keeping that following. Determine whether the "improvements" you make are costing you more than they are worth. The fallout of putting out an upgrade that is inferior has a lasting and very profound negative effect. It cast doubt that the developers of the game really understand their client base.

I get that in RL. Use a standing desk or get up and stretch every 30 minutes.

I also get it in-game, either from standing up from the couch or in first-instance after docking and leaving the loading screen.

Also, my client isn't rendering turrets, launchers or salvage modules of any kind or any of their emissions; not on my ship or any other except the login screen Maller.

I'm running on a PC Laptop Gateway NV59), windows 7-64-bit Core I5 processor M430, latest video drivers.

Issues list.

1. Jump gates and undocking cause a lost connection with vid driver, which recovers, but it's going to get me killed one of these days. This never happened until the last couples patches for Incursions (when you put the Carbon system in s my best guess).

2. Ice Miner IIs cycle and all I ever get is the first 4 blocks in my Macinaw. Second cycle yields nothing.

3. Turning off Ice Miners now behaves like a turret weapon, red cycle until it completes, and nothing is gained, even if past the halfway point. A lot of Ice Miners are going to be justifiably ****ed off if this behavior remains the new standard, as we set them up to hold 10 blocks to maximize efficiency.

4. Client completely crashed when I turn the Ice miners off (after a 10 second delay)
