- The NEX prices are beyond unreal. Highway robbery, really.YARRRR!! You expect someone to pay 5 months of gametime or so/1Billion ISK for a monocle? More than 1 month for a shirt? Someone there has lost touch with reality. Good luck recouping that investment.

- Performance on the Mac sucks big time. Game was quite playable before Incarna (2007 iMac, 2Gb RAM, Radeon HD2600) with minor tweaks on the graphics settings. Same settings took 2 minutes to load the station environment on game start, no better than 16fps while in CQ.

- Mac patches with issues, full windows install with issues...

- Incidentally, clearing the old prefs folder on the mac after creating the new one would be nice... don't leave litter behind. Also, the default fonts on the mac app bundle don't do unicode correctly. I "fixed" it by using the OS X fonts instead and the patch installed deleted those... Rolling Eyes

I can't believe you actually released this bugfest. ugh

CCP you are ruining this game.

How about fixing stuff that needs fixing and stop adding more stupid fluff.

LOSE the CQ, LOSE the walking avatars.

Give me back my old strip miner effects, the pencil thin blue beams are too weak.

Stop doing stupid stuff to this game, we are not all 13 year old brats.

The mechanics are working, It looks good with a strong computer. Not much else. These are far too many changes that need to be made to list so I'll outline the major ones.

1) An option (off by default) to not leave your ship. The old ship spinning away!

2) A RUN buttion. This hobbling around is painful.

3) Launchers. Why were turrets updated when launchers have been missing a model for years? This would have been a great time to fix it.

Too much, too fast. Average players' computers are not able to handle the station walking smoothly. It is a great concept but hold on to it for a few more years.

Right now four-boxing, with CQ enabled and 2 miners working, a trader and a freighter chars docked and it has just changed 3 things:
- Undock takes 0.5 second more than before.
- Sound is delaying in response less than 0.5 secs, but still a delay.
- Occasionally the camera of the docked chars slow a bit, but not too often.

My PC has an ATI gcard and is two and a half years old.

About the CQ and stuff, the graphics are better than it was in test server, but still a bit unrealistic compared to the char creator.

The prices at the store, yeah, they are outrageous, but you dont need to buy things, you do only if you want to. Eventually if people get smart, they will need to drop the prices, or drop the store. Personally, I think they are doing what any company does in new markets: Explore the limits. If the prices are high, but people buy, there is no reason to lower them. Once the limit test shows inefective, they drop to a new limit. Probably people buying things now will have a huge loss compared to the future buyers,

The rest, honestly, still the same as aways.

Finally, walking in stations is here! I've been waiting for it ever since Earth and Beyond. I know its in its infancy now, and has much road ahead, but keep it up CCP, this game needed it. It adds much more immersion, and brings you much closer to your character, now that you are an actual character. I cannot wait until full station, with interaction of others comes....good stuff.

No comments yet, Incarna's off, I like the picture of the door.

If I like to see what ship I'm in, I click on fitting button,
still can press undock button to undock from any place in the room.
Client works exactly the same as it was working for the past month on sisi.
I was running three clients now for the last half hour no problem, even better,
less CPU usage in space, thx for that.

I am not as excited with Incarna as I was with Apocrypha, no complaints, however.

I believe most people are afraid of sudden changes, and this is a sudden and very, very big change.
Not surprised so many people in this thread just emo-rage quitted.
Well, bye bye, won't miss them, no regrets for morons without imagination.

Pity, but Incarna looks like an early beta, feel a bit cheated here, I'm waiting for some real experience.

I wanted to invite my good friend to EVE, but I'll discourage him until you make the whole Incarna more presentable, I'm sure he'll love it when you finish...

I can see where you guys are going with this stuff, EVE needs more subscriptions, you need to make it more appealing for the masses, Nice female butts in custom PVC outfits always brings in masses, no argument here, bring in the masses.
I like them to make sure you have enough financial resources to keep EVE running for us...

On behalf of us, the "niche" players I wish to thank you for the option to keep the Dolly Dress Up off.
Please, I beg you. Don't you ever take it away!
I cannot keep on three clients with Incarna on...
and I like to have three clients on.
Best regards to everyone
Ps.I still impatiently wait for the actual useful Incarna to roll out.

pps. Will I get one day extended subscription for everyday you guys will keep server offline to rollout another incarnation of Incarna/maintenance, etc.? Sounds fair, does it?

I don't usually complain about the expansions, but this is just taking the micky...

12000 Aur for the ocular implant is insane, i see its the gold one, so maybe 1200-1500, the current prices are just insulting.

CQ runs reasonably well on my machine, until i log the alt in. even with station environs turned off on the 2nd client, both then respond like garbage.
The CQ are something i'd really only want to dip into occasionally and will become more interesting once additional station features are added. The original vision was that you'd have the old station environment and then "disembark from your ship to enter CQ. THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN, not the poor attempt that this is, not to mention how useless the station is without CQ enabled.

This is just a poor showing that has actually made the station experience LESS functional than it was. Well done for breaking something that didn't even need fixing!

Without the spinning ship hanger, the only way you can tell what ship you're currently have active to undock is either *walk over* to the balcony, or, if you have CQ disabled like me, open up your ships cargohold / ship fitting window?

Yeah, big success this. Rolling Eyes

So far everything works like a charm, thank you. Running two clients, 60fps high settings before Incarna, 60fps after. Couldn't be happier.

Please fix warp vortex though, that you broke with Incursion patch. Every other time I can't see light particles so it appears like my ship is standing still.

And oh, btw, I have 1 year old PC; Intel i5 750, ATI5800, 4GB RAM, nothing special... Cool

UPDATE: GPU load from 0 to 70%, fan speed from 25 to 70% and temp from 60 to 70C. Not funneh, Imma be ****ed!!! Twisted Evil

First of all, the CQ looks amazing. The visuals are simply astounding, and the performance seems decent, although I have had some random FPS drops.

However, I disabled the CQ again - there simply isn't any content. Sorry, but in it's current state Incarna serves no purpose to me.

Also, not only is the GUI of the CQ inconsistent with the old GUI, but it is also harder to use. One tip would be to keep the spaceship icons on the old GUI and keep the new stuff in the CQ. That way, people who use Incarna can have all features in their pixely glory, and those of us who don't can keep playing spaceships.

I just noticed, and my corpies noticed, that our GPUs are running 10 degrees Celsius hotter than it used to.

Now that we got speedy code for inventory management, can we have regexp search in the filter box please? :) Also would be nice to have topical search, like "charge size:small+meta:3" or something like that. If you guys are too busy I'm sure we can whip up the code for that in a weekend :)

Otherwise keep up the good job, client still crashes for me, but that's a feature by now.

I'm glad to see that my subscription fees have been pretty much completely wasted on this utterly useless and over complicated heap of crap. Maybe instead of wasting time on stupid crap like CQ you guys could work on new ship models - the raven is in need of a major overhaul, it's hideous

I like the new features, I think they are a good start for CCP to build on. To all the people complaining they can't run 20 alts at the same time on their PC now - GOOD. Learn to cooperate with others rather than yourself, as Eve was intended.
Also, has anyone else noticed the anaglyph 3D effect on the video screens in the CQ? Put your red/green glasses on and look again!

You took the ship spinning out of this game! Eve is declining from this moment on.

I would like to have the old hangar back as an optional feature, how much would that cost ? Why dont you put it in your Noble store, thats something i would buy.

One great piece of news for me is that my GPU's run between 60-65% utilization when out in space, which is about 10% lower than before Incarna 1.0. Great improvement! I'll have to see how it fares in various circumstances. In the CQ they both run around 75-80%. Temps hover around 60-65 degrees Celsius both in and out of the station...not too much more than previous (maybe 5 degrees).

I LOVE the upgrade the station enviroment, the new turrent effects and the new Maller hull design, but I cant upgrade my comp to compesate for the laggy station eviroment. Id like to have a option to use the old station enviroment till I can upgrade my comp.
havent tried the store but i cant due to it being so laggy with everything in the station.
It still needs alot of work though for ppl who cant afford a top of the line comp like some of these lazy jack@$$3$ whos parents buy them what they want.

You think the Raven is ugly? Good grief, have you seen the Gila, it looks like a 5 year old made it from Lego!
Oh and BTW "ship spinning" is now present, whereas it wasn't before - now the ships rotate slowly when seen from the balcony, in previous version the ship DID NOT ROTATE, your VIEW OF IT did. If you're gonna whine, be accurate.

I agree this indeed is incarna.. delivered as widely expected and it does not disappoint.

I hope it brings in some new players who like(?) .. this sorta.. stuff? (???) I hope it does more then make that guy in marketing excited about reaching out to a 'new key demographic' and maybe even get more people into eve? I seriously do, cause it would be a crime if this is an ongoing dead end and hence ongoing waste of time and resources.

So if the in game avatar items are funding future item development as discussed recently.. GL with that. Seriously, you need it.

Turrets updated / ECCM / JB fix thanks CCP for useful content balancing and fixes but for now [x] station environment off (until this useful feature is nerfed).

One issue I found and will link photo. The Revelation ( Amarr Dread) has problems with the new Turret Effects. When you load all 3 beams, it is only showing 1 of for visual. The other 2 turret just aren't there. I've unloaded them and reloaded just to see if it was locally bugged and it's not.

Things really look great! Although I have to agree that the Noble Exchange prices are a little crazy. You should at least be able to get a few items for 15 bucks. Also, while I personally love the captains quarters, if it's technically feasible I would consider adding an option to use the old dock interface. All in all I love the expansion however. Very Happy

Some questions:

1. Are there plans to add missile turrets? The turret upgrades look really good and Caldari everywhere would like to fire ze missiles in style!
2. Are there plans to introduce a complete character re-customization even as a paid service?
3. Are there plans to give the Maller treatment to other ships because it looks awesome and some of the older models could use a face lift Wink?

additional point.

ArrowWhen in Incarna, you should be treated as no longer being in your ship...
standing on the balcony overlooking your pod while being told you can't JC cos you are still IN your ship is pretty stupid...

This would be much easier to fix if you left your ship after docking to the regular hanger view... but then everything would be so that's no surprise...
