WTB static image of currently active ship when in station. I'll expense it via PLEX. Or a pair of boots. Which ever is more expensive.

- Ship doesn't need to spin
- Ship doesn't need to move
- Ship doesn't need to have flashy lights
- Active ship needs to be displayed
- New turrets don't need to be displayed.

OFMG! This is really worst patch you ever made!

-Computer load (CPU/GPU) way too high....
-Walking in my Barbie Avatar.....lolz....children ego booster maybe but total crap.
-Noble Market.....lulz if there are ppl dumb enough to pay more for virtual cloths than in real life they really deserv to pay that much Razz
-Maller is nice and agent finder also.
-Static window if you disable station loading.....wooooahhhh of course way cooler than what we had before (just kidding) Put back the old style for those who do not like the Barbie style game of the new CQ.
-And last..... do it quick as ppl won't have the patience to wait long as probably many already are leaving the game!

GL next time for maybe a patch where you listen more to the player base instead of pushing your plans on.
Maybe you remember Star Wars Galaxies when the Combat Revamp came Sony lost almost 300k subscriebers due to this patch. Still they pushed on with it as they wanted to make it also a console game. Instead of winning new players they made a total loss from it and what i wonder most is that they still push on to it and keep going!
Hope you are not that stupid and remake those mistakes!

Would it be possible to give everyone a free full recustomization?

When the avatars came out first, we didn't have the full environment with them walking around, and quite a few people didn't put in much effort into customizing the part of the body that is not seen in the portrait. It would be nice to have the option to fix this. :-)

Thank you!

4 year old computer with Radeon HD 3800, 4 Gb RAM, Windows 7 x64, dual core ATHLON 5600+

2x EVE clients running, one in CQ, one autopiloting. CQ loaded in <10seconds, not much slower than pre-Incarna.

To all the whiners, maybe its your system?

"Minimize active windows" needs to be a toggle like "hide interface.

Screens in CQ needs to be able to be shut off and rearranged.
Better yet, have a command console somewhere out of the way so it doesn't come off as the 'elephant in the room'.

Drag'n'Drop needs to be reinstated for changing ships.

'Static image' should be a fixed view of the Hangar platform that one can WALK (WTF is that ****, we are busy people dammit!) to with CQ on.

Zoom into 1st person when approaching the mirror, 3rd person view feels like voyeurism.

I usually like to give constructive criticism and offer solutions when I point out problems.

That being said, the fact that this patch made it through QA is evidence that doing such is not worth my time, just like releasing a quality product is apparently not worth yours.

I'll leave it at that.

LOL........i see what you've done there CCP, you missed a zero off the AUR for PLEX amount, obviously should be 35,000 AUR!

Hehe........had me going there for a mo, imagine paying more for a monocle than a faction BS!

No problems on my pc, everything maxed out on two clients. Quite happy with the performance. Patch downloaded at a decent speed (wow!) and completed without any hiccups.

Not entirely impressed with the walking in stations, or horrible character customisation BS, but each to their own.

hmm, in an interview a dev said they made CQ tiny, because "the pod-pilot feels uncomfortable if he is not in his pod".

So WHY are we pod-pilots forced to leave our pod everytime we dock ? As CCP said correctly, we don't like it !

Don't get me wrong. Walking on stations might be great stuff once its finished. But as a pod-pilot i dont wanna leave my pod everytime just to switch ships or pick up some ammo.
Most of the time i just dock to get something adjusted quickly, which now takes me up to 10 times as long because everythings laggy. Double click to open ship-hangar doesnt work etc.

Pod-Pilots feel uncomfortable outside their pods, so why dont you give us back the old hangar view and an option like "Enter Station".
That would fit much better in the Atmosphere of eve and the fact that we are pod-pilots!

Don't broadcast the 'no skill training' thing when your account has a skill in training, but not the character. It's a) wrong b) annoying and c) confusing to those precious newbies

The update is very pretty. Thank you and well done!

But, Jeez, that gray skirt costs almost as much as my Rattlesnake in real terms. So, I'm sorry, I shall not shopping at the Noble Exchange anytime soon. And I'll tell you now: the day I need to have Aurum in my pocket -- provided I can afford pockets, that is -- in order to play the game is the day I quit the game.

Vanity does indeed have it's price but that price is unrealistic. It's sad because an awful lot of effort has gone into elements of the game that I just won't take part in. Oh well, I'm sure you'll correct it. I hope you do.

But, again, well done on another milestone release and sorry about the niggles. It's looking awesome.

Sadly the gm response I got when I questioned this was "You can still ship spin in the fitting window".

Docking. The old models are still there and in use. There should be two options.

1. Disable station environment.

2. Select station environment, incarna or incursion.

Instead you're forcing us to either leave our afk systems eatign up an extra 80 watts with some added fan noise (fun on a desktop - try battery life on laptop) too boot or stare at some repulsive brown wallpaper where our ship used to be. It would seem to me that someone got caught up on how cool this would be - much like the transparent hud - rather than the practical implications of power use, fan noise and removal of low power 3d model. I'm sure ccp enjoys staring at a brown wallpaper instead of a bonucy ship as much as we do. Why was it taken away? "Because", why? "Just because...". It's not like there's been complaints you've ignored for a while .

Also, you either need to re-evaluate your store pricing or put out a very detailed economic dev blog explaining you overpriced store items to prevent them hitting plexes too hard. Ģ40 for a pair of virtual trousers when I get grab a pair of jeans in town for less. 20 bucks for a virtual tee or 7 for a real one.

On the positive side. You listed to complaints in the past feedback thread and completely removed transparency from the hud (you seriously have no idea how happy this makes people Very Happy) so there is hope. Why however, you ask for beta feedback only to ignore it until after it's released is another question.

Well, turrets are pretty.

The CQ interface OTOH is pretty awful:
* The camera zoom from left to right is weird. Pick one and stick with it.
* The click and drag to rotate the camera is clunky.
* The way my character model stands on the sofa when I try to sit down from behind it is very '90s.
* For some reason my character's face is hideously ugly in CQ, but not in the editor.
* My character has the slowest walk imaginable.
* The mirror flickers weirdly when I rotate the view.
* It takes 20 seconds to load, by which time I'll have the fitting window, cargo hold and ships / items open just fine without it.
* A preview mannequin with the clothes on takes at least 30 seconds to load. Really?
* I did try sitting on the sofa, with my view set so that I could just see what I wanted (i.e. ship and agent finder, instead of corpses floating across my massive plasma TV), and was planning to just stay sitting there forever, but for some reason my position isn't preserved when I log out / in.

As for clothes costing more than ships? Umm, no.

Posted - 2011.06.22 08:28:00 - [315]

Amazing expansion. Can't wait to see what's behind the door.

Personally I think it is great that clothing is as expensive as it is. A persons appearance should reflect their power and influence in EVE. This is what NeX offers. If things were cheaper no-one would care what you wore.

The only criticism I can make is that CCP should have included some cheaper items in addition to the crazy expensive ones. This at least would have reduced the tears, and given newer players (and others that aren't quite as flush with funds) the ability to try out the feature as well.

really a shirt is more expensive than a t3 ship?

should I concider that irl skirts should cost as much as... a jaguar car ?

I have been waiting for this extension for as long as i have played Eve, the possibility of "human" interaction in the game and the vanity that goes with it, I even thought that the fact that those items beeing sold on a separated market would not be such a burden.... How wrong I was!

Posted - 2011.06.22 08:30:00 - [317]

CCP You are great, everything is awsome, and the vanity item prices are good: when my CEO comes all dressed in vanity items - everyone knows: he is a BOSS
Yet few things worth considering: cpu/memory requirements are very different with the same graphics setting when You are in space and when You are in station. And one can tune up all the settings while in space and enjoy the awsome looks of space and gameplay but then have some real troubles with his pc when docked. So that needs leveling up.
And one more thing: turrets are awsome

keep on the good work

Hell, ideally entering CQ would be a station service button in the old hangar view !

Besides, I guess the connection between 1.2bil destroyable monocles and stalking prevention - i.e. removing standings info - is more apparent now.

I think you are a bunch of child that dont understand what is progress and video games.

They just want to add some 'flavor' to the game. This is just the beginning. They will open bars or other type public areas to the game. They have many plans to evolve this. You are just flaming the roots.

Grown up. They didn't chance anything you use, but they give you option to walk. It is an update, even if you didn't like, you shouldn't flame. CCP could sell those exps with a full game price. But they didn't. For gods' sake, they don't even have any obligation to do exps. They want to give options and new shiny things. Personaly i'll not buy aurum or other stuff, maybe a male boat would be good. And i'll not use CQ. But this is a option. You can close CQ. You can force yourself to not clicking noble exchange.

If this is most useless update, you are the most stupid gamers i ever seen.

Overall this expansion is meh.

Clothing is expensive so I won't be buying it.

Turrets look nice.

Walking in stations was fun for 5 min on the sisi client ... now old.

Anyway to get the main screen in the CQ to show and do something that is useful?

Excepting the turret models, and new maller hull (Can we haz maor plx kk - not in the stupid store either before you get that idea Zinfandel), this is the least spaceships expansion to date.

And I am sure a lot of us, play for the spaceships...

Dear CCP,

First of all - no worst work ever! ;)

Second: Referring to Dust 514, the way u aim @ is quite cool.
I mean, the idea of mixing FPS and EVE still is a really cool idea.
Really, i mean, i canīt remember how often was playing EVE, dreaming about station walking, etc...

- Avatar on station needs to walk faster... not running around, but that velo is pain in the A**
- Boarding should be changed into boarding a near by capsule

But all that should never be realized on the expense of perfomance. NERVER EVER!
Please keep that in mind!!!!

Aurum prices... yeah, what to say.... Understanding why.... But still sucks.
I hope, that Aurum will be earnable by Missions oder be exchanged for LP.
But i bet it wonīt. Interesting to see how market will change overall...

Ah, and THX A LOT for turret annimations! Love em!!!

Can`t wait to explore the rest!

Guess thereīll be a lot bug- and performance fixing next weeks. Hope itīll be done soon!

A lot of ideas are spinning around in my head. EVE revealed a huge potential with this one, if u make it right.... and even when adapting, fixing, adding more small features, meeting other ppl, etc.. nerver forget the PERFORMANCE!!!

When a patch comes out and I see the whole of the EVE community getting their eggs in a twist about the changes, I usually see it as a good thing. Your game is outstanding, and no body wants you to fix something that isn't broken. That isn't the case this time. I first saw that ambulation teaser on youtube way back in 2008 and after this long of a wait, naturally I was expecting a small amount of disappointment. I did not expect to be completely dumbfounded and offended. Let me try and get on point with this. I would gripe about all the same things as every one else, but here is my big peeve. I will gladly pay an outrageous amount of AUR for a far out gilded Jacket (By outrageous I mean 7000 max) that I can use as a status symbol, so long as I had other cheap/bland customisations to keep me busy in the mean time. the few options you offer now will never cut it and the prices of added content are to laughable to even go on about. there is no middle ground for the many players who don't have an alliance wallet to embezzle from. I have spent the past two weeks trying to get three of my friends to reactivate their accounts. Now I wouldn't want waste their time. To shorten this up, you guys really blew it this time, and over the next few weeks you had better shine, because.. [hardest facepalm ever] ..this whole patch just flat out sucks and I really kind of want to punch the two or three people I've seen not freak out about this. Anyway I'm done, the rest of you posters.. continue this sweet as$ed inferno Evil or Very Mad

I know I'm a goon and thus not worth listening to, but the character walks so slowly and everything is so spread out from a UI perspective that CQ is an active god-damn hindrance to getting things done. I've never really posted to complain about anything before - not nano nerfs, nos nerfs, whatever, all those things way back in the day - but the UX is now so annoying that I managed to last about 5 minutes before turning it off.

And to top it all off, I don't even get to see a static view of my ship when I'm docked any more without having to mess around with cameras. The fact it's floating seems dumb now too - when it was JUST there there was a suspension of disbelief, but now it seems stupid without docking clamps or whatever.

Please, please, please make CQ optional and give us a "station view" option like there was before.

The Maller looks nice I guess though. Maybe you can do a patch where you make all the old, ugly ships look nice (DOMINIX)

Also I'd like a setting to not show the Aurum in my wallet - don't want it, don't need it.

The rest is fine though. (I'll have to adjust to the new icons for turrets.)

There is a very simple solution to all the people upset about incarna.

First of all I recognize that incarna 1.0 is step one in a much grander scheme, I'm excited for these things to get going though right now the draw on my system is a bit too much.

What needs to be done, however, to maintain the whole previous player base and potentially increase the player base is simply to allow me to chose whether I use the old station environment or the new one.

That's it, that is all we need. We all just want to be able to use our stations efficiently OR choose to explore the new content.

Make CQ Optional.

The essential basis of a Sandbox is choice. Give us the choice, and leave us to make what we will of Eve.

The whole "wait 20 secs while you board" thing that happens when I attempt to change ships has got to go. It's a lie, because my barbie was standing on the balcony all the time.

Perhaps a better idea might be a 20-30 second animated carousel as one ship leaves the FOV and the next comes into the boarding area.

After First Hour ingame:
Turrets look awsome
Beautiful and useless Stationbureao - deactivated to save time

I want back our english spooken "Warp Drive Active" on german Clients. - What about an option like "Audio-Language"
The new Turret-Icons on HUD are ugly - why change an intuitive icon like the tractorbeam-magnet into something like twisted poo-poo (sorry that was my first impression)
