I was saying to corp mates during the EVE DDoS attack that the guy doing all the Tweeting was from the UK.

His timing just seemed very consistent with the UK time-zone.

One amongst many, I doubt he was really involved with any of the DDoS'ing as of late.

You gotta think though he must have something to do with a large part, the FBI and SCO can't be too bad together.

Poor bastard indeed. Probably just some groupie hanging out at their groupie IRC, probably screaming what his IP address is.

Probably just some n00b wannabe hacker trying to take credit for it. The LulzSec guys are a wee bit smarter than Mr Ryan...This isn't their first go-around, and they certainly won't do stuff that leaves a digital trail back to them.

I wouldn't take all this hacking at face value either.

I don't think it's beyond the ability's of our government's to orchestrate False-flag high profile hacking in order to curry favour in support of stricter internet regulations.

After all, I don't think they'd appreciate another Wikileaks.

I love the people who left comments on the atricle that are up in arms over the possible hacking of the UK census.

They don't have phonebooks in the UK?
Seriously. The human race gets dumber by the day it would seem.

They have arrested one out of a group that may span over 100 members. That is like killing 25 ants and claiming the ant hill is destroyed

Two days from now it will probably turn out that either his computer was part of a botnet or someone decided to do a little war driving. The significant amount of material is probably his **** collection.

Natset: The census in Britain was actually contracted out to America's biggest defence contractor Lockheed Martin who were tasked with gathering and safe keeping the information. The reason for the census is for budget projections primarily for the nationalised healthcare system and other ancillary services. The United States carry out their own census once ever decade or something to that effect also, so please refrain from trying to flame the UK with your narrow comments :-).

You mean like that other 12 year old that had already been arrested prior to all this? They are all a bunch of kids and will caught, will likely be much easier now that they have the first. Once this kiddo figures out how much time he will do being he's no longer under 18 he's gonna sequel like a stuck pig.

They have also claimed a lot of things that they didn't do, hence lie once why not lie about their members not getting caught. Not to mention, anyone with half a brain wouldn't be hitting so many high profile targets so often. Wink

conspiracy!

Its a story i thought id share, some people seem offended and others are over thinking it.

He must have something to do with it as two of the biggest crime units in the world are together.

Although it only suspicion not a conviction.

you realize they can lie rigth ?
saying is not one of them can :
- help get released
- make fun of the authorities
- avoid people thinking they are not that good
i don't see any reason it would be beneficial for them to not lie here.
don't mean it's sure he is, but what they said prove nothing.

Would someone really try to take credit for something they didnt do which would cause the FBI to start looking for you ?

He would be a complete moron if thats the case!

I think enough has already been done to warrant congressional action. All they need to do is define an act. Thus far, nothing has been defined, congressionaly. Once it is......

The news reports will change from "Hackers attck...." to "Hackers Attacked."
