EVE Online: Incarna 1.0 will be deployed during an extended downtime on Tuesday, June 21. Tranquility will be taken offline at 07:00 UTC and is expected to return to service by 17:00 UTC. EVE Online websites will be offline from 07:00 UTC to 09:00 UTC; during that time the deployment updates will be available on the temporary landing page at www.eveonline.com. The EVE API will be unavailable from 07:00 until 11:00 UTC.

Incarna 1.0 features Captain's Quarters - the first step towards opening the interiors of space stations for players; the new graphics and animations for ship turrets; and the new Noble Exchange store offering new and exciting goods. The new players will now embark on their journey in EVE Online guided by completely revamped tutorials and the familiar voice of Aura, while the new agent finder and corporation recruitment tools will make life easier for all pilots.

You are welcome to check out the Incarna expansion page and the Captain's Quarters entry on EVElopedia for more information; the full patch notes are available here. We will be publishing regular deployment updates in a special thread in General Discussion during deployment.

A Client Update # 1 for Incarna will be offered when you update your client to Incarna 1.0. This client update fixes a number of issues introduced with EVE Online: Incarna 1.0. We strongly urge you to download and install this client update.

[yellow]Update on patching.

I would like to add a post to each of these threads which says something like:

We appreciate that players are excited to patch to a new release and Incarna is no exception. We want you to take a moment to review the following information which can be helpful in ensuring that your update from Incursion 1.6.1, or earlier version, is smooth and hassle free. Quite often players will try and install an incorrect build, be that from taking a copy of the file from Singularity and attempting to port it into their Tranquility folder or by trying to install a patch file which is not the final official version. Either of these things can result in a player having to download a full client build which can cause a lot of frustration for players.

So what can you do to ensure that you have the correct build?

1, We would advise all players that the easiest and most risk free process is to start your EVE Client when we announce that Tranquility is up and accepting connections. The autopatcher will patch your client from Incursion 1.6.1 to the final Incarna 1.0 build.

2, When tranquility goes live we will update this message with direct links to the installers so that players can download the patch from Incursion 1.6.1 and apply it at their leisure. The downloads will be:

Windows client patch – To be added

Mac client patch – To be added

3, If you are patching from an earlier build, or if you want to patch up to the current version we ask you to visit the Patches for Tranquility page. From here you can patch from your current version up to the most recent version which is Incursion 1.6.1. Your version number is displayed in the top left hand corner and is the number in the brackets. So, as an example, if you see ‘Version 6.45.269296 (267203) on your current EVE client then you have the most up to date version. If the version number is anything other than 267203 then you will need to apply one or more updates to get to the current version.

Nice catch. The thing with patch notes is that you stare at them so long that you get tunnel vision and miss really obvious things. It has now been added and Thank You Smile

At fanfest, someone asked a dev about Captain's Quarters for POS's, the answer was no, but then a comment was made on how we will be able to change T3 subsystems at a POS. Don't see anything about that in the patch notes though... Is that not coming yet? ): Or was it accidentally forgotten in the notes?

Sure... perhaps you can start another thread to try and keep the hype up and ignore the POST after POST of the player base telling you NO!

Seems they all end the same.

Update to patch the not yet launched update to fix what we updated to update to try and get more money cause we failed to update what you wanted updated and I failed to update my subscription.

Why did you "enhance" the probe / exploration system without fixing the BM and clickable site issues that have repeatedly been discussed in the previous release feedback thread, bug reported and petitioned?

You had the code open and didn't fix the bugs ... pure fail.

Ships

All players logging into Tranquility will now have to create an avatar. You will not be able to proceed into game without one.

FEATURES

Captain's Quarters

The Maller, an Amarr cruiser, has had a dramatic makeover and looks fantastic. Go buy one tomorrow and be the envy of all your friends.

you may want to change the headings for these... creating an avatar has nothing to do with ships... and the Maller has nothing to do with CQ... just sayin....

Also, and this would be new... from SiSi testing there ARE a few known bugs that are due to be fixed in follow-up patches... it might be worth putting a known bugs list IN the patchnotes, so people are forewarned...

And still waiting for the genius explanation that will justify the otherwise inexplicable decision to remove the old hanger view...

It is in the last SiSi build... technically the don't load station environment button is in TQ atm... it just doesn't load a different environment... so don't know if they left it out because of that?

Well I won't be running CQ on TQ anyway, overheats my system, and forces me to shut down everything not eve, and only stay docked for a limited period of time... all for a loss of functionality, and immersion.

So until I can have the old hanger back, CQ will stay disabled... If the option to disable it disappears... then leaving the game entirely becomes highly likely.

Which would be sad...

BTW my bring back the hanger petition just hit page 7...

EDIT: oh for CCP.... In a couple of days time, when CQ is live for a bit, and people start trying out loads of different outfits... and they discover that the NCC Forces them to redo their portrait every time they change clothes (and Jump cloning forces you to change outfit) and noons portrait will stay the same for 10 minutes strait, and the image server starts crying...

Remember we told you about this months ago, and you might want to start working on fixing this and writing the calming press release now...

No more unprobable ships equals Burn Eden tears :) Lets see if they and their NC(DOT) buddies can adapt their pimp ships to this new mechanic...unless of course they intend to sit snug in their Tech pos's Embarassed

I agree, I think Incarna is cool and all, but my computer just can't handle it, which is sad. I also can't afford a new computer, just to ward off any flamers that want to put scathing replies about me "whining". New maller hull looks cool though, can't wait for the turret effects too.

To all those with graphics card issues with CQ: Try turning "interior effects" to low and see if that helps. If its not enough, then hit that "do not load" button.

supported your topic. dont like the fact that useless fluff spoils fuctionality of the double click for cargo. to name justa few things taht suck about QC

hopefully tomorrow will see the do not load station fuction there, or ill have to drop down to at most 2 accounts

I have been testing on ALL settings... I have a core 2 duo intel processor and Giggabyte GTX 460.... and on everything low or off I still overheat my GPU with my CPU running at 80~90% on both cores, just to stand still. my ave FPS goes from 20 to 30 by changing the settings but overheating happens either way.

now if I went into CQ when I wanted to and didn't need my in space UI, then it might be ok... but as it happens every time we dock, and there is no content, and the new UI is fail... I am just not going to load it.

CCP should provide separate settings for in space, and in Incarna... and they should find out what is nukeing my CPU/GPU... and they should put the damn hanger back... Till then I wont be using CQ on TQ.
I will never be using the 'Noble (read money-grabbing) store' so, that is a total waste of time... And sad cos the 'free' outfits are pretty bad...

bangs head on desk.....

How can people not be able to work out time.... CCP gives everything in GMT+0=UTC

If you can't manage to work out the difference between your time and CCP/EVE time then you are not intelligent enough to PLAY eve.

use google, or your built in computer clock.

well actually that's a perfectly logical result of forcing everyone to use CQ every time they dock...
That is in itself stupid...
But having done that, the requirement for everyone to make an avatar is essential...
Of course if they kept the old hanger view they would simply need to make you get an avatar to enter CQ, not to play in space...
So you could use that as your reason for supporting my petition (in my sig) for making CQ optional...
