This was the first and probably the last time i will watch the Alliance Tournament.

I can't fault the teams as they acted within the rules. However, CCP should change the rules for next year otherwise i don't see the point in having a tournament.

Come on what's wrong? I mean it's "Eve spirit" behind this outcome. It was a great and realistic battle! I totally feel reminded to the intense fights I saw in the tournaments of the World Wrestling Federation when I was younger. Epic fights with surprising ends! ;-)

tbh, you must respect not only the collaboration between the teams but their victories in both making it to the final, that took a lot of work, true, their fights against each other where boring but they did well in the entire tournament, they earned it, period

Yeah... people on here always love acting all hard like "Eve is harsch and brutal and dark and mysterious!" and ****. End of the day, however, people don't appreciate being ****ed at like this and it's gonna manifest itself in one way or another.

I know I won't be watching next AT. Really no point. Matches not all that exciting. Presentation not all that hot. Topped off by rigged finals. That's just a bit too much childsplay for my taste.

The final was a farce. Both teams should be disqualified as what happened is ridiculous. All those smarty remarks "This is Eve", "Not Kitty online" is bull****. We are talking about a community event here, not some alliance vs alliance war where the enemies can do whatever is not prohibited by EULA and most Eve population can't care less about. This event presents Eve to everyone - veterans, new players and even those who only think of becoming a player. This is something ppl spend time to watch and expect some sort of entertainment and competition. This is not entirely Eve - you can't blob, you can't hotdrop or steal your team's ships from the hangar at the last moment, you can't pod, you can't bring whatever ships you want. There's the whole pack of rules that sets the tournament apart from the usual gameplay.

What happened was a disgrace, a spit in the face of all ppl watching the tourney and those who spent their time organizing it, commenting it and competing. It was destroyed by 2 clown teams that imho should be at least disqualified.

Not really bothered, wouldn't have made a thread about it. However I can't help but feel the metagaming and all associated activities should be left on tq. That's where it belongs and I suspect we all love it there, after all it adds a dimension rarely found in games.

I just feel the AT should be purely about skill. This is what the masses crave, every day people watch their sports stars and dream of being abl to do what they do. They also know that when they go home they are sleeping with the brothers and team mates wives and they love that too, until it affects what happens on the field.

Keep AT pure.

Protip: this was on TQ.

Also, which part of what they did doesn't require skill?

Protip: Grow some stones and post with you main.

What I mean is the outcome of AT has very very little impact on TQ. Obviously the AT is run on TQ but again even geographicly it is separate.

Your second point is just strange, I don't see any skill in throwing a match at all. All the work up to that was fantastic and tbh this AT has been the best yet. Like I said i'm not really bothered watching the matches are still fun and like a few people - you included - have mentioned, how do you stop this from happening? Well you can't, you rely on the people not to do it. People probably always will, but it doesn't mean I or anyone else have to like it.

CCP just needs to make the reward less juicy. People won't put in as much effort if the reward went back to being a single titan.

I for one am fine with what happened. What I'm upset about is simply how unbelievably boring the matches became.

1-st define PRO
2-nd That's quite a statement from someone who knows really nothing about me.

Making categorical assumptions about something you know nothing about severely damages your credibility (diplomatically speaking)Wink

To all the cry babies posting in this thread, yer all a bunch of Polly Anne dolts.

Welcome to EVE, where most people do whatever it takes to win / get ahead.

The sooner you all figure that out the happier you will be.

To the winners, great job guys' and gals' I think that is the first clean sweep of first and second in Alliance Tourney history!

Well Done!
