I'm sorry, but after watching HYDRA fight for several years, I am not going to believe for a second that they would bring a battleship setup of all things to the final match if they were serious about it. Battleship teams have lost over and over and over, and it is no secret that they are overpriced points-wise.

The fact that both sides stopped pretending halfway through just makes it worse. Sorry, but this is just massively disappointing. Both of you have shown to be so much better. Way to go to bring an exciting day to a really boring end.

Yeah gotta agree rigged.

Why should any alliance waste money to enter next year for this crap? Its rigged with various old boy groups cooperating. You'd be better off ignoring it, save your money and use it on tranq.

The only question is how many of the good ole boys that cooperated are getting a cut of the proceeds....

Yes, I realize I am talking about some of the biggest trolls in EVE.

But they are also one of the best tournament teams in EVE. Throwing that away is just incredibly lame. In trolling, you want people to emorage... but in this case, I don't feel trolled. I would feel trolled if they cheated their way to the finals, but they didn't. They got there fair and square and showing great skill. Outbreak, as well.

It was completely in their right to do with the finals whatever they wanted. But that's exactly what makes it such a waste to see both teams just giving all their community respect up for no particular reason. They could have given us the show of the century without losing anything. And what did we get? The second most boring match of the tournament. Sad

I guess then you would sit through a tournament and still be happy if it turned out to be nothing but conga lines and buy out fights where nothing happened or the fight was obviously thrown just because its taking place in the EVE Universe. You ser are a ******.

If you want buy outs, back stabs, and all that other stuff we love about EVE, you play EVE. But you dont bring that into a tournament where people are looking to see good honest fights and ships blow up and not the aforementioned bull.

I see no reason to want to watch the next alliance tournament if its going to be anything like this.

Yes, it was boring - but it was also hilarious. Also, several people have been dropping hints since the tourney began that they were in it together so it's hardly a huge surprise.

Why so selfish? As you say yourself they both earned their places in the final and have entertained us plenty throughout the tourney. So in the final analysis why wouldn't they think about themselves?

They secured 1st and 2nd place, some juicy prizes and to top it all off - your sweet bitter tears. You've just been played and you don't even get it yet.

Tears? I'm pretty sure you haven't seen me cry yet.

I'm merely voicing my disappointment - I expected more. This is the kind of thing that people would post "2/10, try harder" to if this was CAOD.

After all, interacting with the community goes both ways... just as it was their right to make the final as boring as possible, it is my right to call them out on it. I'm sure their skins are thick enough, but some things need to be said.

Don't take things so personally. I meant it as a collective *you*. if you don't believe me just take a look at the rest of this forum. I bet HR and OB are laughing their collective asses off right now at all the drama even though the match itself ended over an hour ago.
