Fine in latest version of IE, SSL wise. What warnings are you getting? Though your actions are prudent, best safe.

Visited the character transfer page, click faq, is implemented as overlay with the result that I cannot see half the page or scroll. Keep in mind people may be using their browser in windowed mode.

If it does it verification AFTER it has asked you for your char name then I'd say that is good; Which would also explain things if the char name you enetered was correct even if the account name was wrong, which I suspect is the case here. It states it will only ask you the username once though, so maybe it stores that in a cookie and if valid leaves it at that.

Still be worth CCP verifying things in the case you outlined as would infer information being stored localy and the option to have to enter your char name everytime would be nice. As they said there unifying things so can see why it asks you for yoru char name as well as login details, but somewhat redundant for the task you outlined.

It's right that they handled it right. But I also don't know why you shouldn't be able to delete your credit card information. You enter it, CCP takes the money, you cancel your subscription, your click the "Delete credit card information" and there is nothing to steal. It should be optional so most people don't have to enter it over and over again. But if you quit playing EVE or are a little bit paranoid, you could delete it.

It's not important to me but I get his point.

I am trying to change my payment method, but not my subscription time... and it is just not working.

If on the main Account webpage, I click on 'change payment plan', it takes me to the 'Select Product' webpage [select time period]. I select the same time plan I already have which is 6 months. It then takes me to 'Payment Method', but does not let me select anything but 'Cards' [which is my current method]. If I click 'PayPal' [the method I want to change to], it does not do anything, the selection is stuck on 'Cards'.

My recommendation is to have a separate action for changing the payment method, and to not combine it with the subscription time. If I only want to change one, why am I changing everything?

This is just very, very, very bad timing.

It looks like a phishing attempt, especially with the certificate issue.

And all that not even 24hours after the last attack from lulzsec.

I also heard that the same guys who f***ed up the security of the "old new forums" are responsible for the now new account management site.

I really hope that, if there are errors, you find them before lulzsec does ugh

I can't use my password manager to log in into the new account management sub-site because the login form has stupid names on its fields:

Username input field for the old site: name="username", new site: name="ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$Login1$UserNameTextbox$validatedtextbox" ...

In the interest of web security, please make it easier to use password managers on that sensitive part of the site. That'll encourage use of unique and strong passwords.

Glad to hear you're leaving.

If you no longer have trust in CCP, why would you think that any 'Remove credit card button' would actually delete your credit card information completely? If you have no trust in CCP left, the best thing to do is get a new credit card.

One of the missing items I would like to see returned in the new Account Management part is the Time Left Counter - which would tell you how many days, hours, minutes until your account status would change to disabled.

In the old version, you could click and enter a section that showed your subscription details. It would show at the top, the payment method, your details, the amount of game time left on the account and then generate a list of all the failed/successful transactions related to the account.

From quick checks, I can no longer find this information. The information on the front page (Current Subscription and Next Billing Date) is not enough information. Please return this to the Account Management pages, since it was infinitely useful for scheduling things.

Right now CCP is the only company among few I use for online payments which doesn't have this very basic functionality - thinking you will never be hacked is plainly stupid.
