I will say again... i still feel it would only be right that since we pay a certain fee for the game per month, and since downtimes will happen, that any downtime should be added to everyones account. example if the servers are down for one hour, then one hour is added before payment do. one day and so on. since they manage our game time up to the minute anyway, it would be a reasonable way to show they care about our downtime as well. yes/no??

+1 hell ya this would be great!

Total noob here. Picked up Eve to play in my work breaks and for the last four weeks there has been major down time every other day. Servers still responding "The cluster is not currently accepting connections".

Am I being impatient, or is Eve going through a rough patch?

It's sort of a rough patch.. its not always like this.

Second patch in 2 weeks on my only free afternoon starting at the exact time I get home.
Some people have to get screwed, right?

As for a non-troll response, the servers are in London, it's hamster work hours at 11 am.

You guys area amazing. You complain at the slightest thing that goes wrong with this game. You guys dont understand that there are TRILLIONS(1,000,000,000,000) lines of code, millions (1,000,000) of variables and you thing a little error is the end of the world. Get a grip and give these guys time to fix the little error that pop up from time to time while they improve a game that is this epic...

My God what a bunch of little whiners you guys are.

If you cant stand a little glich while they fiz great game you should go get a life that does not involve computers.

You guys do an awful lot of whining, complaining and bad-mouthing the devs of this game. You pay an insignificant amount of money to play this game unlimited time each day for 30 days.

If they didn't patch the game and update it and make new things, you'd complain about being bored with the same old stuff every day, or whine about how they just don't care enough to make the game better.

When they do make new things and try to update and fix things, you complain every single time something unexpected occurs and then fuss when they have to take things offline to fix it and then complain even more if they don't get it right the first time and then whine again when they have to try to fix it a second time and then spend the entire downtime badmouthing and complaining about every little thing and being a bunch of completely ungrateful pricks about everything.

Trying to code and debug a game as large as EVE Online isn't easy. If you think it is, try coding, debugging and maintaining your own 35,000+ player servers all day every day and having to pay attention to all of the feedback from those 35,000+ players every single time there is even the slightest hiccup.

Seriously. Shut up, sit down and be thankful CCP is working as fast as they can to make everything perfect in your little world.

Since devs are watching.....

I would really like to see a simple clickable icon added to pilot portraits to indicate "AFK" status, at least in some channels such as Corp channels, private convo's and private channels.

I believe something to this effect actually ranked reasonably high in that last "open source" poll that the CSM conducted...Wink

thank you.

That used to be called the "Watch List". Something that was horribly pared down over a year ago along with folders in the contact list. Many *****ed when the folders were eliminated and the maximum number of watched players was dropped to 300. A corp or alliance that was serious about intelligence lost everything on the day that change occurred. Possible war targets, actual war targets, friend, etc. could be watched with their names placed in folders named after the corp/alliance or any name that was convenient. I myself had over 150 folders with the names of known ISK farmer corps. In each folder were the known members, spies and any friendlies to the corp.

The day of the change I logged in to find all players now sorted by standing and the watchlist/contact list size maxed out at 300. My 6100 entries were now arranged in 145 pages of names sorted alphabetically. Only the latest war targets were easy to find as I still had a list in notepad.

Many larger corporations and alliances screamed at this change but, much like the saved fitting nerf, probe nerf, etc. etc. this had to be an attempt to pare down the database and keep it manageable. My contact list remains stuck at about at 5500+ as there is no easy way to export the list or resort it by corp. Currently I've devolved to recording notes in the player's info tab until something better comes along or CCP nerfs the info tab (next patch I'm sure.)

I don't see the issue below in the patch notes. Several other users have confirmed this is an issue. Please advise when it will be corrected.

Issue: Unable to click on Bookmarks and sites (w-space) in the solar system map. Hovering over BM does not display the name assigned to the bookmark or site (w-space). You are still able to right click a bookmark or site and warp to it but you don't know which one you are warping to.

Gonna fix this or what?

Obviously these guys got together with Blizzard so they could both have extended maintenance on the same night (being in a +10 timezone, both land smack in the middle of our evening).

I dunno what yall are complaining about for the "more than one account crash" or "alt-tab crash". I run 3 accounts, 2 minimized for the majority of the time, on a gaming laptop and I have no problems.

Glad to see the keys no longer being stuck. It sucked to accidentally click on a fleetmate while Control was bugged.

I also run 3 on my laptop, a laptop that is several years old in fact. I cant say i have any issues as well.

tolerance
- 5 dictionary results
tol·er·ance
   [tol-er-uhns] Show IPA
–noun
1.
a fair, objective, and permissive attitude toward those whose opinions, practices, race, religion, nationality, etc., differ from one's own; freedom from bigotry.
2.
a fair, objective, and permissive attitude toward opinions and practices that differ from one's own.
3.
interest in and concern for ideas, opinions, practices, etc., foreign to one's own; a liberal, undogmatic viewpoint.

Fair, objective and permissive - I'd say that most people have been more than tolerant, and CCP certainly has when it comes to the amount of trash being spewed on these forums most of the time.

Being fair involves knowing there's a limit.
Being objective means knowing when comments and suggestions are no longer constructive but rather destructive.
Being permissive means allowing people to voice their opinions.

We've been and done all of those things, regularly.

There are a handful of dedicated players that CCP monitors. Log in time, log off time, hours played, hours AFK. They then correlate that information with easily searchable internet records to find the most inconvenient time to drop the server for extended/emergency downtime/patching. Evil or Very Mad

And I've noticed we have the same shift/days off when referenced to UTC. Rolling Eyes

lol.. it is something we endure when ccp trys to make the game better.. they try to fix everything later. normal to have an extended downtime or 2 after a big patch but we have had some extra f up fun lately.

People requesting additional changes? You Mad?
They can't even test what they already planned.

I would like to get reimbursed for the broken PI,prolonged DT, and demand compensation for every frustrating bit of this game.(but i will be generous, and subtract the half year or so, where i had fun). So, after cautiously calculating, i come up with 136 million SP,and 1500 Dollars, you can pay in Titans or Nyxes, please send to:Marketbot Botillus, Jita IV-4,appartment 11/38 on the second floor right next to the "RMT-Inn"just shove them in the Letterbox and ring by holding ctrl-alt-delete.Razz
