So does this fix the fkin range sticking on the overview or is it a completely worthless patch like the whole of incursion?

Two important bugs were not mentioned in patch list...

- Ship speed indicator sometimes stays black even ship is moving and user keeps changing throttle.

- Client crashes while travelling minimized.

Both are serious bugs which have appeared with incursion 1.6. Have they been adressed and is there fix in this patch?

Some players were experiencing client crashes when jumping and docking/undocking. This has been fixed.

I think this is the issue you are refering to, as what was happening - game crashed while minimalized but only after gate jump, so hopefully, it's getting fixed.

I see so many things that should not have made it throw in release in first place. Do you fellows have anyone even working in QA department? Have to ask this, becouse evidence points to fact that theres none there. Or atleast theyre not doing what their suposed to do...

Looks like CCP forgot excelence again. Come on, its not that hard to do proper testing before release. Current eve release quality is like childrens game programming summer camp productions. And you call yourselfs professionals? Jesus.

Just one simple example of the lack of Q & A before the patch release...... T3 cruisers flying backwards.

I mean, you just had to undock in one to see that... no fancy mix of parameters needed for that one <sigh>

Why the first option when client crashes or freezes is to blame CCP and say it is bug ? Seriously. Since the first time I played EVE, I crashed 3 times. Would be 1,5 crash per year. And I run 4 accounts simultaneously most of the time, and occasionally when needed, 5. Time to check out your systems before trying to impress "your bugs" as "priority one". Maybe priority one is change your computer.

About the "mistakes" left that should be tested, developers usually work in teams, and many times you touch one aspect of a software, and another aspect change unintended. If they start to check every single aspect of the game on top of what was intended to change and major problems in general, every single step they do in patches would delay at least 3 months to be done. Like:

New CCP policy on patches: "We changed the texts in UI, then, to Q&A (lol), we check all the itens, all the aspects of the game, to see if they are working as intended yet. Then we jump through all new eden with every single type of ship making stops each time to verify if nothing changed in accidentally when warping, shooting, navigating, scanning, mining, etc. After all that, we release the patch."

And if all that were done, then ppl would start complaining about the time it delays to fix things. And even if the game itself hadnt had any problems in gameplay, people would complain that they dont like the way a word is used in the context.

Can only speak on my behalf, but after using debugger to track the client crash to certain code line, repeating the process and debugging 3 times, reporting every single one to ccp with details included and gettin positive reply about already known issue... it is rather difficult to blame hardware as priority 1.

Wasnt specifically talking about you. You did the right thing. TEST. Test clients arent there just to test new ships or new features. The test clients are also an unvaluable source of information about your problems with EVE client, and so on.

People able to use the test client and actually see the problem are reliable sources of info about bugs out of pure gameplay issues.

I meant it to those who just go out and, as said by others, join the "CCP is evil" bandwagon and dont provide any worth feedback, just complain.

No wonder why so few players are actually heard.

1. Fleet window opens to "Fleet Finder" > "Find Fleets" tab when you accept a Join Fleet request, not the "My Fleet" tab. The old behavior was perfect. wtf?
2. Old Bookmarks in space sometimes show "Warp to" even when you are AT them. Of course, you cant really warp to them if they are under 150km, but if you try, it does nothing. Small issue but annoying (specially in a bomber).
3. Drone window not only jumps around, but sometimes closes the "Drones in local space" dropdown when you recall or redeploy drones without a session change.
4. Control key sticky - damn, I thought this was my Keyboard until I read others are having the same problem.

I do hope these issues are fixed.
Coming from a programming background I know I would have got my ass kicked if I released an "update" and generated this number of extra bugs.

Damn CCP, take the extra time to get the patches and updates right before releasing them. Your not under any pressure to release them "on a date", so take the time to test them properly first. We don't care if you don't release these patches too often - especially if it means they're bug free when deployed.

I really love EveOnline, but the constant bugs and half arsed bug fixes are really starting to get on my last nerve.

atleast they fix things seen games getting patched and bugged for life and nothing from the programmers to come up with fixes just making money and sit and watch.

so why cry over extended downtime it is there for you in the end the customer.
and try to take a walk in the park daylight might do everyone well YARRRR!!

Just think by the time all the bugs and patches are done we will get INCARNA (coming June 21st). Wonder if it's features will double the downtime. Downtime sucks, it ****es people off.

So can you be more carefull sending out updateds as I know of a few people who's computers were having graphics issues after this last stint.

Where is the SIZE of the patch in the patch notes?

You said that all new patch notes would include the size.

Fix drone drops.. and add drone hauler spawns..make drone mins easier to refine, so we don't have to train 100days of skills. Industry aint my thing. Fix things that needed fixing years ago. Drone regions suck ass for 0.0 space. empire on par.

If all people posting in foruns that they will quit playing EVE actually did that, there would be a negative number of players in eve.

Any chance we can alternate downtimes at all? With being in Korea now downtime is 8pm for me.
Every time they have an extended downtime to patch is just one more day I don't even get the chance to play. With all the recent bugs...that is quite a bit of time...Starcraft II is free online and I'm getting better at it with so much time to play it lately...

Please default to show broadcasts and not "all".

Then make it remember what we select.

I am not liking this new game dynamic in eve, "Weekly Extended DT". put in a patch that will get rid of this maybe? and maybe in the next patch you will fix the issue that Dust-514 is PS3 Exclusive.Wink

I will say again... i still feel it would only be right that since we pay a certain fee for the game per month, and since downtimes will happen, that any downtime should be added to everyones account. example if the servers are down for one hour, then one hour is added before payment do. one day and so on. since they manage our game time up to the minute anyway, it would be a reasonable way to show they care about our downtime as well. yes/no??
