I use a similar hardware here, mostly, and sometimes I run EVE in 2 PCs I have, 4 EVEs in this i7, same 8gb and ATI 4600 series. It never crashes even using this crappy net from Spain ex-gov telecom (Telefonica de Espaņa). Sometimes when I really need a boost in mining or fleet combat, I use one old core i5 I have, with 4gb ram and Nvidia "similar" video card. This one, the i7, runs win7, the other, i5, Win Vista.

Using this i7, I run 4 EVEs at ease, while browsing, using ventrilo and sometimes even downloading huge files. The other one, i5, cant handle more than 2 EVEs, but still, even if I got all 6 online at the same time, travelling in flock, it never crashed IN THAT SITUATION. Crashed twice but just because ADSL failed, as I insisted in using EVE at a time of the day I know Telefonica "drops" people using much bandwidth. Besides that two occasions, no crash.

My graphics driver is still crashing and restarting everytime I jump. =/

Have not had a CTD yet, though.

When jumping, you are actually changing the session you have in one "instance" of a solar system to another. You have an option to observe the session changes, doing it can be helpful. The simultaneous change coupled with any Internet issue you have, or if your Internet cant handle it properly, will result in a crash.

:) i have i7 860, 5770 ATI card, 8GB RAM, 1000 GB Drive, Win 7 64 Home Premium, Comcast [ISP], hardwired to my router, can easily stream Netflix to 2 PCs and still play Eve without skipping a bit, both clients barely utilizes 10% of the CPU, and on average i can't even use more than 20% of my CPU in normal use and just below 50% of my RAM, so i don't really think that's an issue on my internet connection or my system :))

Furthermore, if it was the case, why won't it crash when i warp to 0 [manual]? even with 2 clients, as long as i warp to 0, i don't seem to crash, maybe i just don't linger that long near gates to get the client crash...

Don't forget that this didn't happen until AFTER the 1.6 patch. That's a very important clue Navetse Sasen...

I use multiloggin every day at least once for our scheduled daily mining operation, and for some mission running aswell. If that was to happen anytime until today, that would have happened then.

(I use alts to post to avoid intel gathering, ganking, and other problems people posting with their main char have)

9 eve clients running, (5 logged in as I don't have any more accounts) All graphics turned up to max. No lag. No crashes. I think the new UI works differently with directx. Some video cards work better than others with diff versions of directx. If you have an older video card, just because it "supports" or "works" with the new directx doesn't mean its necessarily going to play nice. Before u flame my idear, I am not claiming any extrodinairy programming skillz or computer knowledge. All of this is from experience. Its quite possible the system requirements for eve just went up and just because your pc meets them does not mean that you automatically can run a zillion copies of it now or even 2. PC I am using is running 580gtx w/ i7(one of the more better onesugh) 24gb ecc ram and a very very very expensive and stable motherboard. (gain i'm not claiming any super pc knowledge so stats aren't meant to say "mine works cus of part blah") cus i don't know. It would be interesting to hear from people who are crashing what their system specs are and if you are on a laptop(video card reasons).

edit: scratch the ram amount. when i switched to ecc I had to change from 24 to 16 due to something to do with how the channels work. So above situation is 16gb ram not 24.

So, your'e basically saying **** all of ya, buy a 3000 buck worth of computer, and your problems are solved? sorry to dissapoint you right there, but that is not, how MMORPG's usually work. And EVE has a lot of Laptop users, who,by all means, would have to spend even a bit more, to get an equally specced "Laptop"(more likely a desktop replacement, with a battery span under an hour), so all i can tell you, is, go back to Crysis, and troll there. maybe someone might listen.
