So I place some of those drugs that missions drop into my corp hangar in the orca and head out to hq system 1 jump away.

I undock, get the message, I click yes and continue - its not my first time doing this. I get to the gate and bham! confiscation notice and email. Do I want to hand over the drugs? Seriously do I have a choice? wtf happens if I click no? ahhahha

Either way, since when did this start happening? I used to transport drugs all the time in le orca, and now this? TBH its been a while since I moved any of them, but now why even bother collecting them?

looking for the patch note / dev blog. I definitely read about it though before it went live.

There was a note in the 1.6 change logs, or in a blog that specifically called out words to the effect of "It was never intended that Orca corporate holds be unscannable".

So, basically, it was a bug, and its been fixed.

And really, if you think about it, it makes sense.. Why should us orca owners get special smuggling rights?

there was a dev post saying it wasn't put in the patch notes cause it was under the category
"...and several exploit fixes to make New Eden a better place"

where it should have been under "FIXES"

CCP needs to name and Shame this stuff in a news artical listing who got busted and the ammounts.

Today forces of the DED(Direct Enforcement Division) in conjuction with the various Faction Customs Warships undertook the largest Drug Bust in New Eden history. They have been using new Scanner Tech to penitrate the Sheilded Cargo Holds of Orca Transports. Over XXX Billion ISK was confisca.... Ext.

Then a list of Character names and how much they lost abusing this exploit.

Do It CCP!

I never thought it was an exploit.

You can transfer drugs (im talking about blue pill, crash etc) from mission room to station without incident, but when you jump from system to system is where you will get caught because of the police.

Now wierd thing is I did get through (was not confiscated) with ten units of vitoc. Seems kinda weird to me. (edit)After looking at the vitoc legality, its totally legal in caldari steate, illegal in Jove (duh) and The Society controlled systems.

This being said, although I can try it later, but can ship scanners now look into the corporate hangar of the orca?

Also wtf are those drugs used for anyway? I was just collecting them, like some people collect corps I collected drugs, but now it seems like that aint gonna happen. Crying or Very sad

All the drugs that aren't injectable boosters are just NPC commodities. Back in the days before salvage and whatnot, you could make a nice bit of ISK (relatively speaking) from doing nullsec traderuns with stuff that's normally illegal in Empire. There was even a system in Curse where you could buy slaves and then sell them at a higher price at another station in the same system.

I've used the Orca too a lot, and got the same thing yesterday. As it was a corp hangar, I supposed it was unscannable for that reason.

Ah well, training for Crane now...

This but not exactly.

I think it would be a pretty cool feature for CQ if CCP did do something along the lines of having a screen showing live statistics of how much in ISK is being confiscated, how many people have been concorded etc, perhaps how many active concord ships.

Something that wouldn't realistically add much to the game but still have some entertainment value.

Uhmmm....errrr...seems you doesn't have the sligthest clue about how the injectable Boosters get maked....those Drugs you say are NPC Commodities are some of the Content / parts needed to make the Combat boosters.

Go ahead and research some and you can see Blue Pill, Crystal Egg etc etc etc in Combination with some Gas Mycerocine will be the Boosters many PvP pilots use for better results in their figths.

Can you move drugs in cloaky transport ships in high sec if you cloak fast enough through each gate?

I have done that many times, but always 1 gate.. I've produced over 10 B in combat boosters in the last year, and always cynoed them to lowsec in my carrier, reshipped to viator, docked in empire (using 1 gate, immediate cloak/warp) and never got caught.

From there I transported with Orca.

Now I'll have to test a series of jumps with a cloaky on my empire alt.. Will report in 5 days when I finished training for the covert cloak :P

WTF?!! Orca corp bays are scannable now?? By other players too? What twisted CCP member sneaked in this 'fix'?? (Yes, I'm looking at you, Fallout).

And what about Ship Maintenance Bay?

You cannot put a ship in the Maintenance bay with anything other than ammo in the hold. So can't hide the stuff there either.

As I recall it was mentioned about customs and smuggling contraband however nothing was said of players scanning so not having tested it myself or seen any reports I don't know if they are also scannable to players, I'd guess yes but have no information.

When I was finally about to, I decided to not go into smuggling/drug manufactoring because of this exploit. I didn't have a scan proof industrial mining foreman ship.

And I probably still won't because of this exploit. Because the markets are probably screwed to hell and back forever.

I've been known to be wrong about this stuff from time to time but I'm not seeing NPC commodities other than water, oxygen, garbage, spirits, and maybe one or two others as being necessary for booster creation. No mention of crash or crystal egg commodities as far as I can see.

I miss the old agent lp offers where you had to get your agent drugs in exchange for goodies. Sad

That would be pretty awesome. maybe they could add those kinds of things to the news feeds that show in the Captains quarters. It would add some immersion and give us something to look at besides a bunch of starter agents.

BTW when customs catches you, saying "no" results in your ship getting blown up.

I too am going to have to try this. I knew the hangers were scannable my NPC's and it was specifically faction police mentioned in the dev post. If they've been sloppy and made it players ship scanners working as well... that's a bug to fix the bug and it'll be reported as such.
