Anyway, do you ever go to the beach? Who cares even if people walk around naked? After all it's your thoughts that cause you to be distracted, not the thing(s) itself.

Again, a lot of you are missing the point. I dont care if you walk around naked in real life or otherwise. What I'm saying is does this belong in EVE or does it change the view of Eve races too much?

Many of you are making this personal.

Not if you've read The Empyrean Age novel, Otro Gariushi's first scene is him banging three Gallente escort girls at once.

BTW, would we have the same discussion about glistening chiseled man pecks and abs on gratuitous display? Foot for thought. Neutral

Good question.

I have yet to find a culture that finds bare chested men offensive or shameful in any way.

The same can not be said for women. Whereas topless women are accepted in certain cultures, it is not as globally accepted as bare chested men are.

So what are you saying? Are you saying that CCP is giving in to sexism, and by doing so discriminating against women over men illegally by supporting this gender bias? Am I understanding you correctly?

Is it really about Otro? I love that Character, I read his origins in Ruthless.

Maybe I liked it cause it was about the Birth of the Raven, anyway what is The Empyrean Age novel about?

Ultimately what Im saying is that if CCP removed pleasure hubs (which I thought were harmless) due to ratings issues, they will eventually have to look at the avatar creation process and determine if the same rules apply with scantidly clad avatars.

My pet peeve is the whole race distintion thing. I guess I'm too much of a RP player. I look at avatars in the forum and ingame now and I cant tell one race from another anymore. It just doesnt feel like EVE anymore. It feels more like some random shopping mall instead.

Perhaps we'll get racial clothes for AUR? After all it was the unique clothes, accessoires and hairstyles that made it it easy to distinguish between races (it was for the hairstyles that I picked Khanid and Vherokior when making my mains - how dumb of me!! Crying or Very sad) ..

But well even though it's a pity it's also logical that immortal pilots that mix and meet eventually change their looks and behaviour. Being immortal and independent there's hardly any social control or punishment from their relatives. Imagine you're 100s of years old and all your mortal family has died.

And of course, the vast majority of players doesn't care about races or lore or RP, they just want to look hot (female chars) or tough (male chars).

This is just unholy….

Well anyway with most character portraits you do not get the "captain of a vast ship with a crew of thousands" idea. Maybe captain of a small ship with an even smaller crew. For the sake of immersion it would be best to tune down the "options" a little bit…

Actually it was the corrupt CEO of the corporation Tibus Heth took over. Although Gariushi was damn cool in that novel.

Then where's all the fancy officer's uniforms? Leather coats, tank tops, vests and 7 of 9 like tight shirts don't really make me think "high ranking responsible officer" either.

Just sayin' ..

That's what the new Aurum store is for!
Seriously though I'm pretty sure they had atleast one snazzy captain's uniform in there. I'll go check.

There were a couple impressive outfits like the Commandant's overcoat thingy, but they're male only for some reason.

I think there is a real risk in this. If a station makes me feel like i am visiting habbo hotel i will be really disappointed. On the plus side i can't wait to strap on a aliens style motion tracker and go visit a rouge drone hive or a Gurista's hideout. But then again, only in star track does a captain do his own missions.

joke thread turned serious.

Internet space boobies. Srs bzness.

Also, those who shout the loudest about others' sexual opinions, say.... something like... insulting someone who sees a fairly realistic computer model as hot, are usually those with the greatest secrets of all.Wink

(Computer graphics have been getting incredibly realistic lately anyway. I honestly don't see what you folks are babbling on for about fake computerized boobs. For a lot of the eve characters, if I didn't know they were from Eve, I would have to do a double take before I realized it wasn't real...)

Nacirema

An interesting study. I learned it in Anthropology. Pay careful attention to what it is actually describing. Pay particular attention to the part about breasts.

Can you guess what it is about?

I was about to post a comment in another thread when I saw this:

http://image.eveonline.com/Character/191118935_256.jpg

..then I forgot what I was about to post.Shocked

Let me guess..this is an Amarrian Nun, right?

I get the feeling come Incarna, the EVE I knew will slowly fade away into "Barbie In Space." I say this with a sense of disappointment and some dread.

I hope CCP catches on to this becuase the "immersion" factor is slowly fading away. Instead of feeling like I'm shooting at the "enemy," I'll be locking on to interstellar tiddys.

Kind'a gives the word "implant" a whole new meaning, huh?
