If you could take four ships to do missioning in and the pilots had t2 drones, t2 shield, t2 armor but were at the stage where they were going for lvl 4 gallente bs in next couple of weeks but had no weapons trained, what would you train for?

Basically I have one guy that can do dominix and rattlesnake along with minmatar BS and three that are domi pilots. But I havent got to training up weapons yet because the three are all for industry, mining and now doing PI and getting rp. Should I train the three domi for rattlesnake or is there another ship I should go for? They will mainly be PvE.

I'd say domis and maybe a rattle for the primary pilot. Buying four rattlesnakes is really expensive and I don't think you'd get enough out of it to be worth the bother. Another ship choice is gila. It has lower skills than the battleships and for pilots with poor gunnery/missile skills and good drone skills, it does comparable damage to the domi and rattlesnake.

Given the overhead of running so many pilots, you might even want to consider ships with FoF missiles (guided missiles, heavy or cruise) like drakes or ravens. Rattlesnakes or gilas can also use guided missiles. FoF have obvious problems (such as no focus fire and sometimes blowing up real estate instead of enemies).

Go for 1 rattlesnake and 3 domi's, a passive tanked rattlesnake can tank any lvl 4 mission in eve. What you do is to let the rattlesnake go in first and agress all the rats after which the domi's come in and help do the damage. I have been doing exactly that with a Rattlesnake and a Nightmare, with very good skills the rattlesnake does awesome damage with T2 sentries..... LVL 4 missions are stupidly easy with that setup.

4 some a 3 some is better, for the rest a 4 some is best

just run 4 2xLAR Domis. No need for a rattle in most missions
highs: 2 drone extenders, 2 large remote armors, 2 lasers/noob guns for getting aggro without ammo consumption
meds, cap
lows 3 active hardeners, 1 eanm, 2 lar, 1 cap power
rigs, 1 ccc, 1 more rep, 1 faster rep
drones related to mission npcs

have each domi run their own lvl4 mission
watch respawn + drone aggro
team up 2 domis on harder/unknown/longer ones (thats where the remote rep comes into play): angel worlds collide, damsel (if u mess up), vengeance (cause its long)

works well for being semi afk.

Two pairs of Dominixes for cost effectiveness. Two pairs of Rattlesnakes for that little bit of extra DPS from cruise/torps.

Either way, remote rep and T2 sentries, make sure someone has a means of aggressing the NPCs (railgun/cruise or a target painter).

Am I right in saying that you can basically get a high resists omni tank with the rattlesnake? If thats the case and the Rattlesnake can switch to PvP without really changing the setup too much then I think I will go for them.

Also a rattlesnake without gallente bs 5 or t2 heavy/sentries will do pretty poor damage.

From experience of multi-boxing...

I have multi boxed up to 6 characters at once running a remote rep tank doing an escalation, but guns/missiles will not always be cycling at that rate and with that many you would want to run cap stable tanks, but you could downgrade to not tanking very much/higher dps because the rats will just die.

Running 2 characters is comfortable, and does not require very much attention. So I would run 2xmachariel and 2x domi's. Assign the drones to the machariels and go from there.
